This song/ album struck at the exact right time in my life. We were selling our small condo in the city/buying a house in the suburbs… I remember listening to this as I prepped our, now empty home of a decade, for sale… when I purchased the house as a young single man in my 20’s I sat on the stairs wondering what I’d done… only to sit in the same place ten years later, with a wife and son in tow… I cried. The home I’d built into a gathering place for my family was going away… now, four + years later my family has added another, in a new place, truly exuding the idea that phases of my life are passing by.
This song has elements of The Starting Line and Hardened Heart in its words when it talks about finding a better plan and trying for change.
The song sounds great too, and it might be my favorite of the new album.

When I saw this notification I actually though it was a reply to my comment on another of these videos where I commented that I felt like walking around the city at night singing these new songs. (I ended up doing it the following morning instead starting before dawn. Close enough.)

Devin Santa I can see the comparison to Everybody's Changing, yeah, but the lyrics of this song are a bit more positive about being able to keep up with the changes.

It's my favorite too. Old enough to understand what it means, at least what the song means to me. It was such a pleasant surprise to see another album from Keane. It is becoming my favorite one!

I can relate so much to this one ... their songs are pure magic
Keane is my nr 1 band. Have seen them 6 times and it was super every single time. I think they do not get enough recognition. The emotion that I feel whenever I listen to their music is unparalleled. They are the soundtrack of my life since hopes and fears. No other group makes me feel like they do. All songs are great but my favorites are: Myth, try again, bedshaped, he used to be a lovely boy, thin air and put the radio on. Keane forever !!!

Es sin duda una demostración que están a otro nivel cuántico! Wow de Disco, hace mucho que disfrutaba un disco de la primera a la última canción.

De eerste keer dat ik de nummers hoorde, moest ik even wennen en was ik bang dat ik dit album een stuk minder mooi vond dan al hun andere prachtige songs. Nu ik vaker heb geluisterd, word ik steeds enthousiaster. Wederom geweldig! Tom, you've voice is the greatest! Het brengt mij in zulke andere, prachtige sferen, ik weet niet hoe ik het anders kan uitdrukken. Ik voel het bij geen geen enkele andere stem! Tom, het is jullie, Keane, weer gelukt om prachtige songs te maken! Stop nooit meer!
Myrna Klaassen De albums die wat tijd nodig hebben zijn meestal de beste, en je blijft er het langst naar luisteren. :) Zo luister ik bijvoorbeeld nog steeds naar ‘Listen without Prejudice’ van George Michael. De eerste keer dat ik die hoorde dacht ik ook: ‘wat is dit in hemelsnaam??’... maar het beklijft toch. En break-up albums zijn ook bijna altijd geweldig, zoals deze van Keane. :)
@@christopher1800 helemaal mee eens en listen without prejudice van George Michael vind ik ook helemaal super. Die cd heb ik nog en meerdere van George Michael. Veel te jong gestorven. Zó jammer dat ik nooit naar een concert van hem ben geweest. Geweldige stem en 1 van de beste live zangers. Keane heb ik gelukkig wel live gezien. Live ook grandioos! Daar kan Madonna nog wat van leren, maar die vraagt bijna het dubbele voor een kaartje. Schande, het grootste deel is opgenomen en zingt ze niet eens live ( misschien maar beter ook, dan naar een valse stem luisteren). Ik vind een paar nummers, ongelofelijk maar waar, nog leuk ook, maar daar is dan in de studio van te voren hard aan gewerkt. Fijn voor haar dat ze dat kunnen. Nu is het weer de aandacht vragen met een lap voor haar oog. Ik begrijp werkelijk niet dat zij in 1 adem genoemd wordt met de echte beste zangers/zangeressen! Ik zal hier wel veel commentaar op krijgen. Het is mijn mening en dat ze live slecht is, is een feit. Dat hoort iedereen en is ook al zo vaak gezegd. Ik ga toch maar even naar Keane en George Michael luisteren!
