The changes to the player's hitbox when sneaking or crawling have to be my favorites on this list. It opened up so many new movement options (e.g. crawl-mining) and methods of creating entrances to bases or hidden pathways. And it's probably only going to get better with Swift Sneak.
But crawl mining is very dangerous if you do it at y-58 (the new diamond level) since that’s also directly below the lava lakes. They made the game more difficult, I like that.

same! i rember like 3 or 4 years ago that me with my friend were making 1 block tall bases on his ps3. too bad that we still need to do it in 1.18... (of course bedrock)

I knew about most of these Minecraft bugs turned features except for crouching and crawling! I never actually knew about that it was originally a bug. I also have witnessed the flying squid bug on your server when the server was in 1.17.1! Great video as always.
@@conejitorosada2326 well that's just the reality of the minecraft community. But sometimes they don't provide a alternative especially in case of bedrock.
My favorite bug was one that I found as a kid on the ps3 where you could replace all of the empty blocks inside an end portal with enchantment tables, then activate the portal and the base of the tables would vanish and you'd be left with floating books that take you to the End. I would always make a cool shrine around a single one of these blocks and it made going to the end a lot cooler lol
Honestly, I'm really glad they added crawing and lower sneaking. It allow for more diverse movement, and I can't imagine minecraft without it. I hope they add other features to the player like crawing. Also, I think you should do a video on the lost "Human" mob, which looked identical to steve.
Building a design like this in bedrock: Block Water source Open space Flowing water Block Flowing water Can allow you to enter swim mode and crawl in bedrock edition. However, you crawl at much higher speeds than in Java, so that’s proof that though the bedrock setup might be more difficult, it’s superior. but we still can’t crouch under slabs

So the water Village thing is not exclusive to PE at all. Me and some friends have started a server and generated a new world for it in 1.18.1 and a Village generated completely above water. Underneath there is nothing but water and it looks pretty much identical to the one showcased in this video. We are playing Java Edition on PC btw

So, this wasn't mentioned in the video and I saw no comment mentioning this. But, Sneaking under 1.5 block high spaces and crawling doesn't work on Bedrock to this day. I just tried it out and couldn't get it to work. Crawling is possible if your swimming into a tunnel, but doesn't work using pistons or trapdoors. It would also be cool to be able to crawl without needing a low roof above our heads. Would be useful in certain situations such as hiding from mobs behind a 1 block high ledge in a pinch.
Just a note the "2 blocks Range" of the redstone components were actually 2 blocks because they just copied the metal door Code(the metal door has 2 blocks the bottom and the top part) into every component making It behave like if they were supposed to be 2 blocks tall so the bug comes from the 2 block ranged redstone signals
5:23 The particles were added recently. Floating sand/gravel has been a thing since the beta, maybe even alpha days. Maybe it's true Mr Giku attempted to do something about it when rewriting the most recent world generation, I think it's wrong to assign him credit for "inventing" floating sand if it already existed
Mostly because notch hasn't code in any gravity features to those block just yet but even after that then it's still floating just because notch like it, i guess
@@G.A.C_Preserve I don't really understand what you're trying to say. The sand floats because the world generator doesn't check that they have support when it's carving the caves, and it doesn't schedule a block update to trigger them to fall. That would've probably fixed it, but it would cause performance drops, especially areas where there can be large cascades. IIRC the "attempted fix" Mr Giku tried, was to check for support, and have the generator move the blocks down during generation, but I guess that idea was scrapped for similar reasons.
For the crawling, this could be achieved with elytra before swimming was added. I found this out while playing on legacy console edition many years ago.
What about the infinite water glitch? I remember way back when that was a bug and mojang tried to fix, but the outrage was so bad they had to re-implement the bugs behavior
Mojang said they will not remove tnt duping until they add an alternative method with similar effects… so will we get an “infinite tnt” block in the future?😮
I remember a even few years ago with Elytra it was possible to jump next to a 1 block tall hole, and then quickly hit space to go into fly mode, and you could fly into the hole, which would then place your perspective on the floor where your feet would be. However, the crawl animation was not yet added, so your actual head would be in the block above you and in survival you would suffocate. Was still a cool bug though.
if mojang fixes these bugs now, especially redstone related ones, they'll break years and years worth of contraptions, they've dug a hole for themselves
there are 2 bugs i know that should have been in this video number one is a bedrock bug were if you sneaked held jump and place blocks you can make a easy 8 block tower and it go's throw blocks and if you jump on a boat on slime then get in you will go flying up and mojang said that it was now a feature
" often forgotten ..." no , the creeper being a bugged pig isnt forgotten because every mc youtuber feels the need to tell us any time creepers are mentioned
Another big bedrock only bug that became a feature was the trident killer. When a trident thrown by a player gets moved by a piston it deals damage to enemies touching it and when they die they still drop xp and the looting III effect also gets applied just like when you shoot using a bow in your offhand and hold a looting III sword in your main hand in java. And since tridents don’t despawn the bedrock community has been building some very overpowered xp and loot farms on bedrock.
@@i_lost_my_bagel They should add a translocation piston to the game, crafted the same way as a sticky piston, but the slime ball is replaced with an ender pearl.
Minecraft Java: *gets a bug that is very useful* Mojang: yeah, that is an Intended feature :^) Minecraft Bedrock: *same as Java* Mojang: No way *Fixes the bug*
Because most Minecraft RUclipsrs are in java so by the point the bug is reported it is more than likely that the bug, if useful, already is being used by a good part of the technical community and thus exposed to the world as a feature so Mojang has to just roll with it. Bedrock bugs have nowhere the same exposition thus Mojang can remove them without much backlash.
The bug I'm most sad to see go was piston translocation. In 1.9 there was a period of time where retracting pistons could pull you through the block. They made crazy easy elevators.
Started playing Minecraft with Beta 1.2 before beds were added (Beta 1.3) and I have foggy memories about squids flying. But I guess if we saw that then I with my friends had fun with squids flying.
About that last one: infinity mending bows are still droppable. NiftySmith got one on one of his worlds (you can tell it’s a drop and not from the lucky blocks because of its durability.
Honestly they should get rid of all mutually exclusive enchantments (except the impossible ones like loyalty and riptide) minecraft its not that hard, so increasing defense and attack wouldn't do much at all, and it would make some encantments that are never used, be used, like the protections, bane of arthropods, etc. Just make the effect of those enchantments apply instead of stacking them, for example, for an explosion make protection ignore it and just apply the blast protection enchantment defense
Minecraft: what do you do when you see a bug a:fix it b:annoucce it c: ake it bigger d:make more bugs Employee:turn it into a featcher Minceaft:your hired
I have a feeling that pigman farms will be killed in1.19, because mobs grow skulk even if they don't drop XP, which can then be harvested by the player. They talked about leaving in bugs untill a replacement is found (like tnt duping) that can server the same in-game purpose as the bug. And skulk fits the bill to me.
Now that you reminded me, I sorta miss floating squids! Though I’m surprised to hear it’s still in the game! Since I haven’t seen it in years… At any rate, I remember when zombies used to drop feathers. I’ve never used the nether farm, but maybe now I will instead of making an incredibly laggy auto smelt farm! Otherwise idk if I’d ever get higher enchants since I hate making smelter farms. Additionally, I didn’t realize they added crawling and crouching under slabs as a feature! I thought it was always a feature since you could always do it!
Crawling in java is much different than it is in bedrock, because, you aren't supposed to crawl in bedrock, you are just swimming in a 1by1, so there is no restricted speed. While playing the og network, i realized that crawling is much MUCH slower, most likely it due to being an ACTUAL feature.
I honestly thought the sneaking thing came from a bug with specific versions of minecraft pocket edition where using the name dinnerbone/grumm and hitting yourself in an elytra on water, then switching to 3rd person back, half of your model could clip through the floor allowing you to go through 1 block gaps. This bug was patched when the aquatic update came out. Extra note: when your in a 1 block gap, you take damage as if your suffocating.

I remember talking about the crawling thing with my friends and was like "I know this is probably a bug but I really hope they don't 'fix' it."
What about the infinite water glitch? I remember way back when that was a bug and mojang tried to fix, but the outrage was so bad they had to re-implement the bugs behavior
I did not expect to see a Protogen model in a Minecraft video
I waited for a while for this.
Love it when you still call them Zombie Pigmen. "Zombified Piglin" is way too mouthful.
1:20 at the bottom left I see a protogen.
So I wasn't the only one to see a fluffy toaster
Cultured gang
Mojang said they will not remove tnt duping until they add an alternative method with similar effects… so will we get an “infinite tnt” block in the future?😮
If you can get hundreds of thousands of resources at a moment's notice there's literally no reason to play Minecraft anymore
I remember playing on a towny server way back in the day and seeing squids occasionally fly into the heavens. Never ceases to amuse me
At mojang:
"how will you fix bugs?"
"Call it a feature."
"You're hired."
Was still a cool bug though.
if mojang fixes these bugs now, especially redstone related ones, they'll break years and years worth of contraptions, they've dug a hole for themselves
and they are not doing parity to Bedrock because they are saying it's a bug 😑
@@Reymax164 it's parity to Minecraft java edition not bedrock edition
there are 2 bugs i know that should have been in this video number one is a bedrock bug were if you sneaked held jump and place blocks you can make a easy 8 block tower and it go's throw blocks and if you jump on a boat on slime then get in you will go flying up and mojang said that it was now a feature
Man I wish the creeper was never accidentally invented the amount of shit I lost to that a hole is insane
" often forgotten ..."
no , the creeper being a bugged pig isnt forgotten because every mc youtuber feels the need to tell us any time creepers are mentioned
1:20 there is what i think is protogen XD
1:14 I guess most people also don't know that Michael Jackson was involved in Sonic 3's OST, and that Super Mario Bros. 2 is actually Doki Doki Panic
TheMisterEpic: There’s a bug where the subscribe button is red.
Mojang: ‘Works as intended’
1:20
Lol there’s a protogen
Glad I wasent the only person to notice this too lmao
Who remembers the translocation piston bug, where Mojang said they were going to keep it in the game, then removed it?
Still mad about that one
@@i_lost_my_bagel They should add a translocation piston to the game, crafted the same way as a sticky piston, but the slime ball is replaced with an ender pearl.
Flying squids were in the console version for years, even in single player
Minecraft Java: *gets a bug that is very useful*
Mojang: yeah, that is an Intended feature :^)
Minecraft Bedrock: *same as Java*
Mojang: No way *Fixes the bug*
Because most Minecraft RUclipsrs are in java so by the point the bug is reported it is more than likely that the bug, if useful, already is being used by a good part of the technical community and thus exposed to the world as a feature so Mojang has to just roll with it.
Bedrock bugs have nowhere the same exposition thus Mojang can remove them without much backlash.
@@carlosdgutierrez6570 And because they have to fix some on bugrock (not like the entire game were bugged to the core already)
Person: It's not a bug it's a feature
Mojang: You're hired.
This was a good video, in the next part you can mention the most used bugs in the game
Minecraft: what do you do when you see a bug a:fix it b:annoucce it c: ake it bigger d:make more bugs
Employee:turn it into a featcher
Minceaft:your hired
2:16 when the squid is SUS
Mojang employee:how we fix a bug
Me:call it feature
Mojang employee:you are hired
I like how he is so focused for thirty seconds, he doesn't even notice that the lava is not placing.
1:19 I thought I had a stroke when seeing the protogen
I really hope the sneaking and crawling hitbox is a thing in bedrock edition
I have a feeling that pigman farms will be killed in1.19, because mobs grow skulk even if they don't drop XP, which can then be harvested by the player. They talked about leaving in bugs untill a replacement is found (like tnt duping) that can server the same in-game purpose as the bug. And skulk fits the bill to me.
5:55 floating pigman
Shulker craft released the exact same video 11 hours later
The squid flyinf scene make me shocked and laugh so hard 🤣
Now that you reminded me, I sorta miss floating squids! Though I’m surprised to hear it’s still in the game! Since I haven’t seen it in years…
At any rate, I remember when zombies used to drop feathers.
Our community is better because you’re in it.
I feel like the milking squids thing could work if they made it produce a bucket of ink.
Flying squids a horror story of parallel gaming universe
the flying squid bug was by far my most favorite when i was younger
I honestly thought the sneaking thing came from a bug with specific versions of minecraft pocket edition where using the name dinnerbone/grumm and hitting yourself in an elytra on water, then switching to 3rd person back, half of your model could clip through the floor allowing you to go through 1 block gaps. This bug was patched when the aquatic update came out.
Extra note: when your in a 1 block gap, you take damage as if your suffocating.
I actually had the third one with my repeater today, I put my repeater down and it was a block to low but the redstone on top of the block was working
Congrats on the verified! I started watching when u were posting the casino vids lol
"People often forget the creeper was actually a bug"
It's not like it's mentioned in every minecraft fact video ever or anything
A game isint a game if doesn't have atleast one bug as a feature
