@Evan D, don't you notice that his voice cannot be heard over the music? I've said this before, a few months ago, I truly believe Ben is not well physically. His voice is weak, his fingers on his left hand don't move over the strings as they used to not that long ago. His performance is lacking the passion that had once carried him to the top of the charts. It pains my heart to see him in this condition. I've been a big fan of Ben Howard for a few years and it saddens me to see him falling apart....no one else seems to notice and I don't know why. If your a true fan this would be something that would be noticeable. I'm very worried about him.....😔
@@kathyhollenbach7413 I wouldn't worry too much Kathy. I've noticed his vocals are a little hard to hear but that comes down to the actual setup at the venue which seems to have not gotten the mix quite right. His newer music is much less effect heavy which means he doesn't need to do as much with his left hand, but his control is as good as it's ever been. I don't find that he's falling apart at all... quite the opposite really. He mentioned on an interview a few months ago that he does still play in his older style, so he still is fully capable of what he's always been, he's just not emphasizing complex playing at this point in time. His music has changed in tone and is less "exciting" from an energy level, but this a quieter happiness the way that I see it. I hope that this can help ease your worries a bit because I have seen you express this a few times on a few different videos. Take care Kathy
@@kathyhollenbach7413 I agree with Evan, don’t worry too much. I’ve been listening to Ben since he dropped his first album. 10 years ago now. Every Kingdom has been described as upbeat and happy, Ben had a lot more of a stage presence seemed a lot more happy. Let’s not forget he was 10 years younger and making his first impressions on the masses he had to be likeable. His mindset to the fame and attention were probably very different to how they are now. What I’m trying to say is his style is different now, Ben prefers and intimate setting where being loud isn’t needed. Think Ben likes his drink and playing football.. he recently broke his leg playing football I hope those two things are the main dangers to Ben! The reason I rant so much Kathy honestly is because what you say scares me! I hope he’s in good health want him to be making music as long as I live.
I come back to this every once in a while for clarity of thought😊
