This also goes for grated parmesan, some products will recommend refrigeration but it isn't necessarily needed. Funnily the Kraft branded grated parmesan I find in Australia only says store in a cool dry space saying nothing about refrigeration. The particular one Momma has says it's a blend of parmesan and romano, romano is another hard cheese that's fine to leave outside the fridge.

I worked in restaurants for more than 40 years and I never worked in a restaurant where they kept the grated parm cheese in the cooler. I'm lazy I add chicken and vegetables to my pasta and cook it all at once then pour the sauce over it after I drain off the water.

You would love chicken spaghetti, season chicken really well, and put to boil and season the water to use as a broth. With dente Edit : Momma, if you want to make any kind of spaghetti noodles what have you get the water boiling to a rolling boil make sure you add salt to it because that's the only way you can get taste and pasta is the salt water you cook it in. Lots of salt like a tablespoon or two. Get that water to a rolling boil put your noodles in stir them up put a lid on it turn it off set a timer for 15 minutes and when you lift the lid off the pasta it will be done. Perfectly every time!! 💚💚 Just a quick tip, I hope that you utilize it will save you lots of time.
The pasta water only works on homemade sauces. It doesn’t do anything for store bought sauces. The pasta water makes the homemade sauce creamier and silkier according to my own personal experience but the store bought sauce is a Full Body sauce so I don’t think it does anything for it.

Yes, next time chicken spaghetti, lose the red red sauce and try velveeta, I can cream of mushroom soup and 1 can cream of chicken and a can of hotel. So good. Try it for us momma 💕 oh and don't forget a pinch of salt and as much black pepper as you want, the soups have enuff salt😊

Edit : Momma, if you want to make any kind of spaghetti noodles what have you get the water boiling to a rolling boil make sure you add salt to it because that's the only way you can get taste and pasta is the salt water you cook it in. Lots of salt like a tablespoon or two. Get that water to a rolling boil put your noodles in stir them up put a lid on it turn it off set a timer for 15 minutes and when you lift the lid off the pasta it will be done. Perfectly every time!! 💚💚 Just a quick tip, I hope that you utilize it will save you lots of time.
The pasta water only works on homemade sauces. It doesn’t do anything for store bought sauces. The pasta water makes the homemade sauce creamier and silkier according to my own personal experience but the store bought sauce is a Full Body sauce so I don’t think it does anything for it.

@@Joyce-l5t- No. Never rinse spaghetti/pasta - you want that starch; it helps thicken up whatever sauce is used. That’s why it’s always important to save some pasta water, also, when draining it - to add to the sauce, to make it more thick (and, in some cases, creamy).

I made it exactly like that MINUS the expired/not refrigerated Parmesan🤣 (I did add some simple seasonings) and I’m telling you it was GOOD! Thank yall so much for this great recipe! It really does taste like chicken Parmesan!

Try cooking fresh chicken pieces in olive oil and a touch of vinegar. Use Italian spices and garlic when you cook the chicken. Add green olives and mushrooms to the chicken last to heat and your favorite pasta sauce Thats Italian chicken and Spaghetti!

Growing up we never put powdered parmesan in the fridge either 😂. I was so surprised when I read the bottle years ago.
It's really not that necessary to put it in the fridge, it just helps prolong the life. The particular Kraft grated parmesan she has states to refrigerate after opening, funnily here in Australia we also have Kraft branded grated parmesan which only says to store in a cool dry place and has nothing about the fridge. Companies put the refrigeration message on the labels either as a liability defense or due to regulations that may be erring more on the side of caution than necessity.

I've had chicken spaghetti my whole life. But I use drumsticks. I boil the drumsticks. I take half of them and break them down, and I put the rest of the drumsticks in the spaghetti.
