I'm 25 and I have wanted to dance ballet since I was 12 but the adults in my life never allowed me to because of my scoliosis and joint problems. Now that I am in adult I am working in PT to strengthen the muscles around my joints and my back muscles as well as trying to become more flexible (safely). I know that while I may never become a professional I can still safely dance ballet. And I will. I am so excited for the day when my doctor says I am doing well enough to take lessons. I've been working hard so I know it will happen soon.
I love how you are 25 years old and never gave up on your dream and are still working to make it happen, you can never be too old to start ballet or follow your dreams and I hope you can achieve your dream soon ❤️❤️

I've always wanted to be a "real" ballet dancer, but I could only take some ballet/tap/jazz lessons during the summer at the local community center when I was a kid, and I quit when I began to develop during puberty because I was way too self-conscious. But NOW, as a grandmother with arthritis and peripheral neuropathy and just four weeks out from major abdominal surgery, I'm absolutely DETERMINED to become a ballerina in my bedroom! 😅 THANK YOU, EVA! I loved that! Sometimes it seems as though the dancers miss good opportunities to utilize the tambourine and it becomes just something they are holding as a prop. I love that she took so many opportunities to actually hit it.

*i would LOVE to do ballet but I’m as flexible as a piece of dry spaghetti (literally cannot even touch my toes) and I have the memory of a goldfish, if I were to perform I would forget everything because I also have a little bit of stage fright. I did like 2 months of Broadway Jazz and performed then and it was okay but still I don’t think I can handle ballet*
The title feels very similar to after I have watched all of dance academy and want to go back to ballet but I haven’t done it since I was 5 or something

Start taking classes! If you need w good stretch routine I have a stretch playlist non my channel. You can do this!
