I was Mrs. Cornish 2nd grade class on Sept. 11th, 2001. The teachers knew about the attacks, but kept quiet and proceeded as normal. When I got off the bus that afternoon, my father got home early and broke the news.
Similarly I was in kindergarten and the teachers looked like they were going to cry but didn't say anything. But they didn't let us go outside for recess even though it was a beautiful day( I later found out it was because flight 93 crashed near us). It wasn't until I got home that my Mom told me what happened and I saw it being replayed on the news over and over again.
When I look back that day, many if not all, would say the heroes of 9/11 were the rescue workers. To me, the heroes were my teachers. They did a great job handling what was happening and let our parents inform us.
I was 14 in jr high school i palmerton jr it was upseting seeing all my teacher standing in the hall way crying and we where on lock down and it was scary seeing no airplanes in the sky that day and i was in history class doing a report on pearl Harbor and this just like 9 11 but 12 .7 .1941 we got hit just like 9.11.2001 it was a surprise attack just like Pearl Harbor
