Great stuff there. Looking forward to the next installment. Hopefully you can get a little bit further south to see me in the winter. It's too hot for fishing in the summer.
Hi Jamie, I fish a fair bit around Clairac (40k downstream). This stretch of river has done Cats to 220lbs, Carp to 76lb, 28 lb Zander, 30+lb Pike, Barbel to low doubles, Chub to over 6lbs, Bream to 8lbs, Roach to over a pound, little Sunshine Perch and Black Bass to over 5lbs. Never seen the river clear/low as it is this year! Most of the locals fish very dark Tigernuts for the Carp, but I have had good success on Dynamite Complex T with added Plum flavouring or Mainline Diamond Whites. (IMHO think they'll have anything if they're on it). I put down a big bed of pellets and very heavy ground bait to get the Skimmers feeding and then after an hour or two the Carp come in and push them out. For the Cats we fish 2/3 lb Slabs as livo's. Big Tip: If you do get a Carp - Sack it for an hour or two... If not, it goes back to the shoal and spooks them! You won't believe how many times I've had 2/3/4 fish from the same group of fish over my bait in half an hour. This year I can't through the Chub, (all 5lbs+) - they're even taking 2 x 24 boilies. Tight lines.
Nice concept for a series. Hit me up if ya ever fancy fishing in Lithuania, huge shoals of bream, roach, 1m long grass carp if you can find em and fishing through the ice in winter amongst others.
That’s Jim’s place. My mate used to have a place a few doors upstream. I used to go there every year fishing for the carp and cats at night and fishing for the silvers during the day. Crazy fishing. It was almost a skimmer or bream most chucks but because of the depth and snags we used to fish wagglers up in the water. Only problem was the maggots were rubbish and expensive, not that it made much difference mind. We also did a lot of lure fishing for the black bass and zander. Awesome river.
great sesion! cant wait for next episode. a couple of questions: 1. why do you use dead maggots? in river where i fish in serbia, deads are not good, only live maggot works 2. why do you use such a small amount of corn? those fish love corn, i somethimes spend more corn than graund bait
Hi mate do you know if matrix are going to release a new distance reel to replace the discontinued horizon 6000 as I'm looking for a new reel for fishing 75mtres plus
@@CatchFishingChannel Only, unfortunately, we currently have a huge ecological disaster in Poland on one of the largest rivers, the Odra River. Fish stock losses have already reached the value of about 70 tons of fish.😥

There must be some really big bream in there somewhere. I mean 10 lb plus unless the catfish eat them all.
