This video will show you how to replace the battery inside the Mazda remote control.

This is great! I followed another video and opened the first part then got stuck on opening the battery box. You helped with that little switch easily exposing the battery which is the key point! Appreciate!

If u open it upside down all the buttons fall out. Then the nightmare begins. NOTE: 1st put tape over the face of it 2 hold the buttons n place n case this happens 2 u.

thank you! This video was exactly what I needed. I ended up using a bike tool to get the clip open, it worked much better than any of the flathead screwdrivers I had on hand.

Thanks. I watched another vid and it looked to me like after you had the key part off, you split the bottom part of the platic (not the other end of the key, but the back side). This was the right way. I hope I didnt damage anything.

Great video. I have done this a few times. Just did it again and the whole lot fell apart. Fortunately had a spare fob so I could work out which bits went where. Still took 30 mins to do a 2 minute job! All good now.

one key done and it was easy peasy - but the second one doesn't have a tab to push in order to get past the first step (second hand car I guess the previous owner broke it off) is there another way to open it? I've tried poking a tiny screw driver into the gap where the tab used to be but it doesn't budge! Many thanks for the clear video

However, if the battery has been flat for a while does the signal need re-pairing to the vehicle? I'm getting a red light when I push the lock/unlock button on the fob, but no response from the vehicle.

Hi your concise instruction help open the cover to the battery, thanks. However during the cover pop up that piece of metal that surround the battery also pop out. Without this there is no contact remote not working with new battery changed.
Can you help ? Tell me how to put it back.

Thanks for the video, it was very helpful. However my central lock doesn't work remotely after battery replacement. It was replaced properly, because red light blinks on the key when I press open/close button.

tnx for the video. is there anything you need to do after the battery has been replaced? new battery is in the fob, when i press the button i see a blink of the red light on the fob but nothing is happening with the car (not locking, not unlocking).
Was it dead for an extended period of time?
@@KeyFobRob the functionality decreased within 2-3 weeks (sometimes unlocked the car, sometimes did not), then it fully stopped functioning. it was dead for about 2 weeks. i dont know if that is categorized as an extended period of time?
