  • Frank has been recently personalizing generic Star Wars posters, but not Yoda specific items.

I've never had a real autograph from anyone other than Dan Marino as a gift, and I wasn't into football. But, I've never given it up or the photo that came with it.
Frank Oz, Stephen Spielberg, George Lucas, and Mark Hamill are the only autographs I've ever wanted in my life.
I hope Frank sees this, I will only have him sign one thing, and it can't be just anything Yoda.
I have a specific item in mind I need to get my hands on, and that will make my autograph collection that much more awesome.
I hate collecting everything of one item, only the specific things that make me happy, so I'll have room to live in my own house and keep it decorative. If I show my collection of things to anyone, they can consider themself lucky.
I don't think it will happen, but I had to give it a shot in my unlucky life, you know?
Here's to never actually winning, but raising your hand anyways.

I can see his point but times are different their arent REAL COLLECTORS anymore only hounds. and by not signing your making your true fans shell out obscene amounts of cash on those autographs being sold by those ebay sellers you hate or despise....if I was Frank Oz i'd sign shit autographs for the hounds and nice full autographs for those you trust (kids) or whatever and move on. but you cant say you just wont sign because now your making the real fans not like you.

That’s why Stan Lee signed everything.

One thing he could do is personalize the autograph. A “To: Jimmy - Frank Oz” significantly lowers the value. If the person asking for the autograph refuses to give their name or says “it’s alright to not use my name” then that’s a dead ringer for a hound. A true Star Wars fans would embrace a personalized autograph.

Keep in mind he's not a recognizable personality - a lot of his work is behind a camera or as a puppeteer, so his day to day life is pretty anonymous, so when he's accosted by aggressive people cornering him and demanding his autograph, especially when they know what room he's staying in? That's pretty creepy. He's saying he won't autograph someone's Yoda figure still in the box, but if someone gave him a Star Wars poster (that had everyone else's autographs on them) , or a What About Bob or Muppet Movie poster, he probably would sign those. That's like guitarists that won't sign guitars because they'll ruin their endorsement deals.
