@@sharonallison9922 i truly don't know maybe he is sick of it, or that he is too old for it but anyway he's running another show right now i don't know what's it about but you can follow him on twitter and check it out
I enjoyed the puppet cold opens so much that I bought "Sid" and "Wavy Rancheros" puppets from Folkmanis, and used them to entertain my kids (though without the swearing). To this day, they'll periodically grab one and bring "Sid" and "Wavy" back.
Careful where you say that man, this is a Craig Ferguson comment section. ;) I'm a bit young for Carson, but the clips I've seen look pretty standard. If you have highlights you'd like to post, feel free to do so and I'll try checking them out (if RUclips remembers to notify me of your reply). What I love about Ferguson is that he is so radically different from everyone else. Nobody ever had a show like Craig, before or after. That sense of him being unique is a large part of the allure: I laugh at him because I know that I won't get this elsewhere.
@@TheWickedWizardOfOz1 Carson was better in the 1960s. His best decade is almost gone videowise even though most of the audio survived. Carson in the 1970s was fine, 1980s Carson was pedestrian and boring. I saw the late 1970s and 1980s as a kid and young adult. Reviewing episodes on RUclips just reinforces my old opinion than 1980s Tonight Show bored me to death but the 1960s segments that still survive are VERY interesting to me. People tend to mythologize Johnny and forget he had his wilderness years, those years where he was spending more time playing golf and tennis than doing a talk show and it kind of showed. In the 1990s, when he KNEW he was going away, he had a very good last year but I think people are kidding themselves if they don't find the Tonight Show in the 1980s to be a bit stale. Now, I think the Tonight Show is unwatchable. The asskissing is unbearable. It's been bad since Carson left... They pretty much all kiss butts. The political extremism is also new. The avoidance of being OVERLY political and kissing Hollywood's butt is something I appreciate in both Carson and Ferguson.
@@AvengerII Ya, I was born in the early 90s, so I missed Carson entirely and didn't see early Letterman either, so I don't have the golden years of each show in my memory. I didn't see that much of Ferguson either (I never saw Geoff until RUclips), but I love watching him as both a comedian and an interviewer. Well, sometimes as an interviewer. The Kate Mara talk was cancerous.
@@TheWickedWizardOfOz1 The Hollywood interviews are probably part of why Greg left. He really didn't like the Hollywood scene and moved back to Scotland to get away from it. Last I heard, he's still trying to sell his house in the LA area but it's hard. A lot of homes have been marked down and many people are leaving California because it's a mess. Very difficult to sell a multi-million dollar home when the real estate market in the area has collapsed. I've never seen a state go down so far but the state leadership in California is among the worst and most venal in the country. Very greedy, selfish, and entitled people.
I miss Sid so much and am grateful for these chances to relive past glory
"I wish I was back in Scotland where at least they just beat the f*cking crap out of me" LOL
Somebody must get him back on late night
you got the same name? 😂😂

ISN'T EVERY JOURNEY WITH CRAIG STRANGE & WONDERFUL ????....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🙏😇💝🤗
I love that rabbit, wish he was also a sidekick! Too bad.
Some of the late night talk show hosts were great, but Craig Ferguson was way better than any of them, and Sid could've had his own show.
Come back Ferg! And bring along the gang!
hilarious
The only time I heard Sid cuss and it wasn't bleeped out!
This could also be the Queen's speech for 2021
Johnny, Dave and Craig. Will never be equalled again.
Sid > all
This is four years too late, but Secretariat > Sid.
Sean Bateman Geoff=Secretariat=Sid All are great!
I just received my Sid The Cussing Bunny from Amazon. And plan to keep the Cussing alive for ever . Hopefully starting in the next few days.
I have a Sid puppet on my bedside table.
FurrGison...lol
Sid is the man... I mean the rabbit. 😁😎
SID THE CUSSING BUNNY IS A GOLDPIT

This cracked me up omg
Boohoo cheakybonki! 😆😆😆
IMO, Craigy Ferg will always be the best late night host theres ever been. None made me laugh harder or more often.
ICEAGE #NOT ;) it is little padawans ;)
No late night discussion show's host, can ever match Johnny Carson's personality.
