These are some awesome elevators! These elevators were originally Montgomery G&P elevators installed in 1977 when the Main Library was built. They received a slap-on-mod sometime in the 1990s with Adams/EPCO fixtures, but are still mostly original, they did receive replacement cabs within the past few years, the original cabs were wooden. These are quite fast, run well, and have lots of character. The leftmost car has an accelerated floor indicator. The middle car is nearly identical to the rightmost car, but it has a non-accelerated floor indicator and a different floor passing chime, it also still has its original door track with the Montgomery logo. The rightmost car is the most awesome due to the fact that it has a non-ADA car operating panel and an awesome sounding CE Electronics floor passing chime! I really like these elevators a lot!
