Vintage Otis Autotronic Traction Elevator at The El Presidio Parking Garage, Downtown Tucson, AZ
(Filmed November 8th 2024)
This is an awesome vintage Otis Autotronic! Although it did receive a slap-on-mod with new custom fixtures sometime in the 2000s, it is almost completely original and still has its relay logic from the early 70s. This elevator also runs quite well and is quite fast.

The Polara N2 Navigators near where I live just say "Walk sign is on"
The EN2 does not talk (only beep), but the N2 does a beep and says "Walk sign is on". They do not say a countdown, though.

Mission Blvd sound is "Mission, walk sign is on to cross, Mission" Ventura Place sound is "Ventura, walk sign is on to cross, Ventura"
The button to cross Mission Blvd had working sound, but not the button to cross Ventura Place.
Never knew Tucson had another Montgomery Vector until I discovered this…

I've seen other cities in Google Maps where N2's were replaced probably because they didn't have working sound anymore.
I've seen an N2 that doesn't have working sound on Culver and Furrow, and Culver and Portola Pkwy while I was going bike-riding.
In Irvine, there are still a lot of old N2 Navigators that are still working, but Irvine has been upgrading some of these buttons to Polara iNS, which makes me sad.
The only reason the low rise ser has been modded is due to a hotel being built on the office building itself.
I have been to this exact intersection before, these were the first Campbell APS buttons I ever touched in Tucson, back in 2018
Those speakers nowadays don't really work, the intersection at La Canada and Tangerine do not have working speakers anymore, but they used to work. But the way, the intersection at the Auto Mall and Oracle Road got brand new Campbell Touchless Buttons installed, so the speakers there may be dead now
I can't believe they replaced those older Campbell buttons, the old buttons were still usable too. Oracle Road has alot of new touchless buttons now.

Banner health has a state wide contract with Urban Elevator Service
I didn’t see any markings or logos with the elevator company name, but it is quite possible that the mod was done by Urban Elevator as they do use innovation fixtures. I do know they were originally installed in the 1980s or early 1990s by Montgomery though.
I have met with the owner of Urban Elevator Service and they told me that they have a statewide contract with Banner Health
those are probably a mod because the motors sound like older Montgomery traction motors.
The tower was built in 2019 so this is a new installation.

The Banner UMC South Campus modded their elevators with these fixtures as well. The elevators at the South campus used to be Otis Series 2 but they have been ridiculously modded.
They're ADAMS/EPCO SurvivorPlus, just the CA-compliant version.

Some controllers have a timing adjustment switch on it. It depends on the type of controller you have.
