They looking great. Love their camo.
just to be replaced by the U.S multi cam in the upcoming uniform change 😔
As anyone got any questions ?
Yup yup
Do the Israelis still veto them being deployed with their Javalines?
The Wild Geese
Didn't know IDF stood for Israel defense force.
They both start with an I of course its the same
Ireland Or Irish Defence Forces, alot longer than ISRAEL, was founded ;!
Irish are known as Perminent defence force PDF, so theres no confusion
@@chrismonks8776 ohhh ive been wondering what pdf means. Thanks alot
The Irish in the french foreign legion.
The Irish Defence Force is not a war fighting organisation, it's too small.
They're not preparing for war. They're part of the UN peace keeping force.
Maybe, but can you fight off 7k well trained soldiers? Quality sometimes outdoes quantity. Mind you I hear the Soviet Union say Excuse me!
Personally my view, & or my experience;! Size is hardly relevant when most most countries these days members of either NATO, or Also UN, !
Wearing reflective hi-viz over camo 😄
They are the umpires!
It's an LFTT, Live Fire Tactical Training, the lads with the hi viz are the instructors, they were there to make sure that the exercise runs smoothly and to ensure the safety of those involved since they are firing live rounds around each other. The US army and British army do the exact same thing.
it is to show they are in charge of the exercise.they are responsible for safety, they must be easy to be recognised from the preople taking part in the the exercise.all armies do the same.nothing wrong or strange about it except to those with no army experience.
I wish Ireland would join NATO and increase the defence budget to 12 months and introduce 12 months National service. Then it would be a serious contender.
You go first
@@Moc5116 They definitely need to increase their defense budget, but shouldn't join NATO.
@@SaorEirebeing an island we need a proper navy to maintain the security of Irish waters,an air force to protect to protect our air, and a properly trained and equipped army to defend the land.I would like Eire to maintain its neutrality and it's security comes before any humanitarian law
@@Moc5116 What makes Ireland neutral? We rely on the RAF for the defence of our skies, the Royal Navy for the defence of our seas and our government constantly decides to choose sides in international conflicts. Ireland is almost the complete opposite of a neutral nation.
Ireland needs to invest magnitudes of what is currently spent on defence in order to be truly neutral. It would be cheaper to join NATO
i had to stop watching this as i was laughing too much
Why you say such stupid statement
The Irish had the UK king George asking for a thrus
And then, asking for a sovergin and Independen Ireland
Education is important
@@Paulfieldz can i have that in English please
No, but I can tell you in Irish,
póg mo thóin
@@Paulfieldz wow, i didnt know you could speak Klingon
@@williammohan9784 lol 😂 well Either did I!
I'm happy to teach you 👍
LMFAO, you'd be better sending them to Disney Land.
Don't disrespect the Irish, they have a long history extending back to the 16th century of producing first class soldiers. 30% of Wellington's redcoats were Irish and they were first class fighters. Wellington and Montgomery were both Angli0-Irish, Regardless of the ups and downs of Anglo-Irish history, the Irish have the respect of the British military, they are a professional, all volunteer force and they are well trained. It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog. Paddy can fight with the best of them.
@liverpoolscottish6430 yeah, at 15,000 total personnel, with 0 fighter aircraft, no true blue water Navy, no tanks, and very mediocre armored and artillery forces, they're a token peace keeping force at best. No one is doubting their quality, but they couldn't contend with any modern military power, and that's just the hard reality for the IDF at the moment.
@@DirtyMikeandTheBoys69 and you expect us to? We're a tiny country, but we could easily devolve into guerrilla warfare if the situation called for it
@@CondeDeBarca no, I don't expect you to. If you knew how to read, you'd know the person I was responding to clearly expects you to. As far as guerilla warfare goes, who controls Northern Ireland at the moment? It certainly isn't the guerilla fighters...
@@DirtyMikeandTheBoys69 You obviously have very little knowledge of the troubles to be saying that. And even if that were true, what fighters liberated the rest of Ireland?
Ridiculous
Pointless
