Nice to see Wagos being used. I'm assembling the goods needed for installing a fire alarm system in my house (finally), and using Wagos is definitely easier- not to mention that I already have a bunch of them.
As someone who works for an EST dealer, a retrofit from Simplex to Edwards is alarmingly common. We service a school district that used to use all simplex, but now they want to switch to Edwards. We just put in an EST3 at a local high school that had a 4100U.
My school (built in 1960s I believe) had a Simplex System and some horns tell the story. Pull stations were obviously removed to avoid confusion, but it was replaced around 2003 with a FireShield, 270SPOs and Genesis Strobes. Also "alarmingly" is a good unintended pun. 😂
These are what almost every building in my city have, and I hate it. Getting really tired of Edwards but don't take this as a video hater. This video is very good.
No way that was in my elementary School before all types except, the one in the garage is the pull station in the building but no ceiling mount there...
Remember: Never install EST Genesis horn strobes with the NACS not disabled because otherwise if you touch the flash capacitor, you can get shocked really bad because of the low supervision DC current that's constantly energizing the flash capacitor to a very high voltage
@@SirensAndAlarmsOfNorthernILmy school has these everywhere. The problem with them, is when their going of for over 45 seconds, you just get used to them. Like I got to do a drill with my principal. And there’s that instant urgency. But then after about 20 seconds (usually after you would leave the building in a fire drill) i just got.. well I just got used to it… I had to Run down a separate hall to make sure everyone was out, and I kind of forgot they were going off… and I don’t think it’s just me either cause I’ve talked to some people and like 20 seconds after you the alarm are going off they just get used to it.
i've been requesting this forever, can't wait for the system test video!

So excited for this system test!!!! Do you have any first generation genesis horns?
Did you ever have some Ei electronic smoke alarm or heat alarm or something?
No
@@FireAlarmDude5967 Oh.
Neat!! I like the setup.
Before you film the test could you do the fire drill button it's really cool to use do it on the naan 80
I have an EST Genesis remote strobe installed in my bedroom with Velcro because my parents would rather not put holes in the wall for the screws.
Wow
You should have EST Integrity horn strobes on the outside for this! Up to you though.
I've been wanting a Edwards EST Genesis but they did not bring it
Hi Gabe, cool seeing you here!
What did you do with the old fire alarm system?
Put it back in storage
No way that was in my elementary School before all types except, the one in the garage is the pull station in the building but no ceiling mount there...
Leak for next system test!!!!!!

I love all fire alarms
Maybe you should do for your next system test the new voice evacuation for the new EST devices

Nice system
Is this a rare est genesis bc my school in hallway the est genesis has a trim plate with no fire on it and there’s no fire on the est genesis
That’s not really rare
Not really. Their still in production to this day. So no it's not rare. It is rare to find an est genesis chime in a school though.
That’s what I had in my old school
EST GENESIS IS BACK AFTER SYSTEM TEST 3.
Aren't those strobes you put in known to be awful?
I think they’re alright, maybe a bit poorer quality
@@FireAlarmDude5967 Yeah, they do seem to be a bit lower quality but they do get the job done pretty well.
Do Both Alarm Tests At The Same Time Fire Alarms And Carbon Monoxide Alarms At The Same Time
well the speakers strobe will be in other video but i guess genesis has to be in the video today.
Right

Thanks for the tip
👍🏻
True, but the capacitors would hold a charge regardless of if the nac is enabled or not
I will only ever buy or touch an EST genesis horn only
