It drops the temperature because it does not show the seconds, so set for 7, it will show 6 but it is actually 6:59. Seconds do not show, only 6. With 1 minute left, it will start showing the seconds.
You’re right. I have noticed this when it gets to the 1 min mark.

That would be an experiment I would have to test. I’ll try it out this week
