Thank you, it was strange no sound and some of the tapping and pointing when removing the aperture wheel took s few attempts and i think it would have been better to say how to set up for rebuild, but hey im picking holes, it got my lens apart and back together, clean!
Thanks for this xD i thought i broke it somehow and broke the blades/shutter release but now i know i just have to twist it while depressed 😂 its one of my favorite vintage lenses so far. My canon fd 50 1.4 ssc is closing in though x). My focus is pretty tight in certain spots as well. May have to learn how to strip lenses st some point. My super takumar 50 f1 4 seems to be missing focus now :( and that has been my favorite.
Not having a button may make it easier, mark your helicoid start point if possible. Look at some other Carl Zeiss len repairs to get a feel for how they are put together.
I am having this same issue . Looked everywhere for disassembly for making the aperture/ focus throw smoother. I can feel there is old grease dried up and it’s a bit stiff . Feel free to send links for whatever information you can share.

Thanks for this video. I have the m42 version that needs new grease on focus helicoid. Would the disassembly be any different do you think?
I think "retro photo house" has covered pancolar helicoid on this platform.
I made this video because I could only find videos on the m42 one. Now I can't find any . ??? Algorithm helping
