Pehk & Kahl Someone actually bought him the game and donated a bunch of money for him to play it on Stream. He certainly wasn’t fond of any of the issues the game had but could see why people still enjoy it.
Come to think that, in sword and shield, no trainer has pokemon higher than level 70, give or take, red would easily be able to plow through the gym challenge in no time.
Majestic Frog sword/shield is a joke when it comes to challenge anyway. My Pokémon were close to my level cap the entire play through because of exp candies.
I remember fighting red, went in totally unprepared without realizing what it was. Had a hell of a time but one of the most find memories I have of pokemon. I remeber I had to spam heal against his snorlax until it literally ran out of all pp and had to use struggle.
@adam page It refers to the fact that even in the Pokemón Let's Go games the characters (including Oak) still move along a grid like they did in the old Gameboy games. They don't make turns or move naturally, they only walk in straight lines, either left/right or up/down, and when they make a turn they stop, turn 90° and then continue. This happens even though the player is capable of omnidirectional movement, which is why some of the dialogue scenes in Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee look a little awkward. Pokemón Sword and Shield have a similar problem (especially the stiff turning). Tldr: To this day, NPCs in Pokemón games move in extremely stiff patterns, which becomes more and more apparent the higher the graphical quality gets (and it's kinda embarrassing considering that they advertised new and improved animations for Sword and Shield, yet a lot of then still look weird)
The A thing is something you'll need to really be in the know about to get. In case you don't know, speedrunners name everything A because it's faster when the text scrolls.

@@bluejuice5314 This animation is about Pokémon gold and silver which weren’t released until 1999, or 2000 for NA. You can tell for many reasons but most notable is the presence of gen 2 Pokémon. Not sure why the creator says 23 years unless it’s a jab at their expectations of gamefreak recycling everything over and over until something like Temtem kicks them off their pedestal and forces them to actually try again. Anyway, yeah, not 24 years. More like 21 years since he was referring to gold and silver.

@@bluejuice5314 This animation is about Pokémon gold and silver which weren’t released until 1999, or 2000 for NA. You can tell for many reasons but most notable is the presence of gen 2 Pokémon. Not sure why the creator says 23 years unless it’s a jab at their expectations of gamefreak recycling everything over and over until something like Temtem kicks them off their pedestal and forces them to actually try again.
Anyway, yeah, not 24 years. More like 21 years since he was referring to gold and silver.
