    A friend of mine has this same machine. His won't respond to the selection buttons, even after putting the right amount of money into the coin mechanism. He did replace the coin mechanism but nothing yet... it's like the board isn't acknowledging that the money has been inserted. It will vend if you trigger the motors like you're doing in this video.
    Thanks for sharing this! I love watching people fix things. It's therapeutic. :)

      Thanks for the comment, and I know what you mean about it being therapeutic (feel the same way). I only have experience with the issues I worked through in this video series (as this was my first vending machine). However, I think the first response in this thread should point you in the right direction: vendiscuss.net/topic/22608-dn-368-wont-vend-please-help/
      Good luck!

      @scirockalot8v Thanks. I had the same problem when I first got the machine and I think it led to some of the gears getting stripped out. Here's a good thread on how to fix motors that crush cans www.vend-resource.com/forum-topic/dixie-narco-crushing-cans

    Cotter pin would cause a problem, I kept rewinding for basis of repair. Which gear was this? I remember one of the gears not turning. I will rewind again. JB weld is a product you spread on central shaft to adhere to drilled areas. Aedin

    What did you clean the inside and gears with. Then what grease do you use

    • @anythingmechanical3399
      @anythingmechanical3399  6 месяцев назад

      I fused the gear to the shaft with JB weld. I used glass cleaner to clean all the pivot points (outside the gearbox). For the gearbox grease, there was plenty of grease in there so I didn't feel the need to re-apply. Had I thought it necessary I would have just used bearing grease, available at any auto parts store.

    Hi, what is the exact name of the compound you placed on the broken gear? Thanks

  • @businessmonkey4726
    @businessmonkey4726 10 месяцев назад

    In the case of the cam mechanism being broken for any reason and not vending products, does the machine have a way of sensing that nothing was vended? Or does it just take your money and "think" a drink was vended?

    • @anythingmechanical3399
      @anythingmechanical3399  6 месяцев назад

      Worse, it would just keep running since the switch never got tripped and this wouldn't allow the machine to reset. So it basically made the whole machine a big paper weight.

  • @paulbunyun4479
    @paulbunyun4479 2 года назад +1

    spending way to much time, just take a spray bottle with hot water in it and spray it on those microswitches that is what is causing the motor to drift..syrup and stuff gets in there
    the white part on the top of the motor is called the break. spray that with your hot water. maybe the reason the other motor doesn't turn is the switch could be bad or you have a bent vend cup

    • @anythingmechanical3399
      @anythingmechanical3399  2 года назад

      That sounds like a good short term fix if you're operating a bunch of machines. For me, this was my only machine and I wanted to restore it to good working order. The motor that didn't turn ended up being not plugged in correctly, so not woth mentioning in the video.

    Is this something one must learn owning a vending machine?

    • @anythingmechanical3399
      @anythingmechanical3399  Год назад

      Not necessarily. If you want a turnkey business you'll buy new machine and employ a maintenance person/company and won't need to know any of this stuff. If you want a higher profit margin business that will involve getting better deals on older machines and troubleshooting/fixing yourself (in which case some of this knowledge may be helpful)
