Im gonna be 100% honest this is a LONG video and a LOT of information to soak in especially if you arent familiar with raiding. No problem with needing to rewatch this a few times to lock everything in the brain, seriously. Thats how I learned raiding when I first started out. It will take a few tries and a lot of trial and error but before you know it youll be doing all of this stuff with your eyes closed!

top notch info im a s1 beta vet and i stop playing a bit cuz of life and all that and my love for d2 wasnt has big as d1 but this up coming subclass has me peaked in interest and the unsunsetting got me pumped so im getting prepped for these new raid and this helped me realize who to choose when i wanna learn all the others

yeah i get that. i think my discord server helps alleviate that pain point a lot though. we have a really solid community of great players in there who wont bitch out in 5 seconds
They really need to address the difficulty level. If they want more users to raid. I've raided with people that dont know there are armor mods and have no idea about builds. I think the majority of the community is super casual.
What about finding like minded people who are so new they'd mess up the boss too? Higher tolerance to failures because everyone is the same

@@scoty_does The whole point of this mode is that its a challenge and it's only going to get harder. You get "easy" access to loot that would otherwise take whole runs of a raid to acquire and the price you pay is doing a juiced up version of single encounters.Seems this is bungie getting people ready for day 1 raiding for final shape.
I love how watching these guides prepares you well for the activity, You feel confident, you think you are gonna nail it. Then you go in all hyped with the possibility of adept raid loot at your fingertips...and proceed to get absolutely destroyed on the first step.

@@aleatheltrashcan478Ive beaten him so many times but he’s different on pantheon. People die over and over to the double unstable light and i was doing gaze and let me tell you, the taken minotaurs that spawn now, added with the orbs chasing you, make it very tough.
As a solo player since d1 I understood the first half. Once you started talking about the planets my brain went to mush
How to beat pantheon.
1. Have friends who will actually answer you if you ask them to do pantheon (all 50 friends ignored me)
2. Find an actual patient and chill raid team. (Been at it fot 5 hours
3. Pray that they dont leave after ome death making you feel like you're wasting your time.
My team is trying again tomorrow we were at it for three hours before people had to get off because of time
Imma be honest, if my team takes five hours I am leaving.

Not gonna lie . I didn't expect into the light to be such a banger. I've been having a blast with Onslaught and Pantheon.

Onslaught has fallen slightly out of favor for me, but pantheon should hopefully be amazing
You have no idea how simply having an example of the encounter you just explained helps. It really does a lot for absorbing the information and the "digestability" of it.

I appreciate how mac shows the typically more difficult roles to do so that people who watch this guide can do the harder roles if they need to
I agree, as much as I'd love filling the middle or easier roles, my raid team is often a couple people shy of a full team so we all have to do the harder jobs
What I love about Mac's guides is that they're straight to the point and well explained regardless of your experience lvl.

Thank you for this, early D1 player and I've done literally everything there is to do except the raids. So I'm hyped for this mode.
I really want to do this pantheon because Ive been wanting conditional finality/touch of malice for so long. However, I would likely have to LFG it and Im worried that because I get nervous around new folks, and have only done each encounter once, Im worried that Ill slip up and wont find an LFG that will stick around.

Yo don’t sweat it I have that same feeling. Just remember that you and that team are there to have fun. If that team ends up being jerks who can’t be patient and understanding then they weren’t worth your time anyway. Stay strong out there and don’t let others stop you from getting that god loot!👍
Sounds daft, but do you have anyone you play Destiny with regularly? I met a guy on Instagram of all places, said he'd help get through a couple Raid Encounters, wasn't fussed if I had a seizure we'd just reset or reschedule. Stuck to his word & I run all the endgame stuff with him weekly now.
It does help he's a firey Aussie & takes no shit from people being idiots 😄 I know it can be frustrating but ALWAYS make it clear it's your first time doing it or you're a little unsure. There will be people that say no, however there's always people willing to help too.

@@pirate_duck4985 I play destiny with my gf and my dad, but just like me, they are not active raiders and we usually rely on eachother to get clears. I'd say I am probably the most "hardcore" player out of us three, being the only one to solo flawless dungeons/delve into pvp and the one who pulled them into grandmaster nightfalls originally, but we haven't done stuff like master dungeons/raids. Between all of our schedules, it gets difficult to set up a raid. I used to LFG all the time in destiny 1 and even found a consistent raid group way back then and ran raids nearly every weekend, but for some reason I just don't have that same confidence for d2 raiding.

Man this is a really cool activity. I haven’t raided in a while, this will be perfect for getting back in form for the day one final shape raid, and the loot seems awesome. I haven’t run a ton of vow or kings fall (in d2 at least) cause they dropped when I was on a break from the game, so this guide was super helpful for me as a refresher on golg and the caretaker, so thanks for that!
For atraks, if you are having difficulty one phasing and need to go downstairs, immediately after dmg send the scanner + another player who is NOT the operator downstairs to dmg atraks (make sure neither player going down picked up the orb). Have the non-scanner player pick up the orb and have everyone come upstairs then scanner can get you another dmg opportunity on atraks (perferably with lament if you were using parasite before). Also, the operator can shoot the buff off of you, and then you can just pick it up again (so you dont necessarily need to send the buffs into space just communicate when you need a refresh). Make sure to equip solar surge mods and have an armor charge if you cannot 1phase. Also, you only really need 1 well other warlocks can be on novabomb (use vortex bomb so u dont block shots). I hope this helps, I know a lot of lfgs struggle with 1 timing the dps bc they dont have the right class composition and dont have other classes leveled. I’ve done this many times with first timers, so even if u are struggling u can totally do it!

I know it’s hard but avoid shooting golden gun in a well, it reduces your damage. It does more damage by being radiant from the current artifact mods or ember of torches. So in situations like golgy wait to shoot your golden gun until you’re in a pool without a well

Why does it decrease your damage?
@@VoiiDzZvhe didnt explain it well but basically u want to be radient by using ur charged melee ability knife when using ur goldy to do more damage so when ur in a well, the well cleanses u and makes u not be “radiant” in the well for some reason. i cant tell u why this happens but this is true. becoming radient and shooting goldy outside of well is more damage

Its all good until Riven comes into rotation and bungie secretly removes the cheese.
they dont need to remove it. the cheese is only possible because we can deal enough damage to one phase with 6 players in one room. all they have to do is ensure riven has enough health that at 20 under we cant one phase.
By just health gating it like caretaker so players are forced to learn mechanics😂

@@charles2183absolutely! This is exactly why my day one raid team has been practicing legit riven for about 2 weeks, to practice callouts and how to handle the encounter. It almost certainly will be the deciding factor between most players seals
Fantastic guides, the little changes Bungie made, along with the increased power level change make these from pretty simple easy, to need to pay attention!
One thing I found very helpful is just use either edge transit or cataphract with envious and bns, since there is a void/strand surge. They absolutely cook the bosses and make sure to rotate class abilities during dps to keep x3 class warfare up for the extra damage buff and damage resist during dps
I like the callouts Ads, Boss and Wall for LFG's since there's so many versions of the numerical :)

When i do planets on RON, I also give them numbers, but the numerical order is based of how far the planets are from the back of the room. with 1 being closest to the raid banner, to 6 which is the closest to the back of the room.

Running in Caretaker was so much easier and simpler than I first thought it would be, first time doing Caretaker and Atraks was in Pantheon 🙌
the raid community is almost as toxic as the trials community there's no way I'll be able to do any of this
If I check someone’s raid report and they haven’t done at least 50 raids in general I’m fully denying them, I’m not teaching pantheon.
My raid clan is really good and chill with new players, probably the nicest people I've ever met

i have never had enough good casual friends who wont freak out and leave, as well have never learned any of the mechanics, which makes it even harder to be in a group 🙃 im just putting this out there cause
1. theres lots of others who are in the same boat
2. this means i never got any of those amazing raid exotics or legendaries
would be nice someday to have a group of friends tho who can just play through raids and laugh.

Loving pantheon so far, some of the raid team getting a bit frustrated but we’ve came so far doing raids just for the title. Something we never thought we could do. Hopefully they hang in there on Tomorows run!

This is good, majority of causal raiders like my self are gonna struggle, but i mean the rewards are pretty damn good in return. So like my self they need to learn the mechanics and for the love a god have a dang mic cuz thats super annoying when i even list for lfg. Like how u gonna communicate on top of not knowing what to do😂
If your operator and do an oppsie (pick up the purple ball debuff) you /can/ shoot it off /if/ you have ricochet rounds and go up to a wall and shoot a bit up. it can save a run but its no well timed dps.

Trying to do this with randoms might have been the worst time I’ve ever had on this game. I’ve beaten golgoroth plenty of times, know all his mechanics but in pantheon we couldn’t beat him in like 3 hours. People leaving after 2 wipes, constantly killing each other with unstable light, shitty dps and im doing gaze the whole time getting molested by the taken Minotaurs and balls chasing me around. Oh and the cherry on the top, golgoroth would keep bugging out and not face the gazer, which happened too many times.
Can you rerun it multiple times? I assume the exotic is once, but what about the legendary stuff?
Planets is the hardest encounter as everyone has to pull their weight even ad clear due to tormentors, same for guys on planet duty as they need to nuke the colossus fast.
So does Pantheon get sunset during The Final Shape? I work offshore until end of May. I highly doubt I'll have a chance to do this stuff until the last minute.
Is Leviathans Breath viable as well if you dont have Izangi or dont want to use Whisper?
My team(s) in our clan seem to be having issues with ad clear in floor two of the caretaker. Some of them are older gamers and have good load outs, they just can’t keep up. Yellow bars eat em up. And the guys taking gaze just let the arc shield cabal that spawn near them run around them to the middle then blame the ad clear guys.
I always followed the rule of 1-2-3 and 4-5-6 in Planets but 2 and 5 were the ones near the wall and 3 and 6 were the ones at the far end, I guess I need to make some changes, because the natural order from closest to farthest from the door was the old one. Interesting that with Caretaker encounter the symbols can be activated at once by another player outside of the room without picking them up. Brute force way is the way lol
Ed: I finally did my first run, this guide was useful...The LFG experience was something else 😅

So…what’s the best method to find patient people to do this with. My friend and I have never done raids, but really want to clear this for the loot. But the carry-ers need to be patient. Or just be a group of newbs like us so we can have fun trying to get through these bosses. Suggestions?

Are the adept weapons per character - as in I can get like 12 adept weapons per week if I run pantheon(fully) 3 times? - or are they per account - as in I can only get a max of 4 per week even after running Pantheon(fully) 3 times?
What do you reccommend for Well Builds these days?
For me, the true endgame is finding a group to enjoy the game with that isn't toxic

Stand outside the well while using your golden gun , you do less damage when inside the well
