    Thanks for the video - I just purchased a new Kubota and couldn’t figure out why I was getting such an uneven cut on hills and bumps. This video helped a lot. Can’t wait to adjust my cutter tomorrow - thanks again.

    I run a chain on the top linkage. Perhaps you should have talked about that aspect for people who don’t have that undulating mechanism on their slasher like you have.

    I'm new to learning how to run my tractor. I've been reading the book and watching lots of videos. Thank you for your video. I'm trying to learn all the PTO adjustments for my brush cutter.
    I have a Kubota l3130 and a land pride brush cutter
    But for some reason I can't raise the entire mower off the ground more than maybe a foot. I had hoped to be able to raise it up higher while I was traveling or to raise it up high and then be able to bring it back into brush and then drop it on the brush to mow it. How do I raise the brush cutter up when I'm in the seat, to maybe A couple feet in the air?
    Next question, is it dangerous to be operating the brush cutter doing the cutting when I lift it high up in the air like that? That is if I can ever get it higher up in the air. It's blackberry, Vines and things like that
    Third question, is it dangerous to mow while driving the tractor backward? I was thinking some of this brush. I'd rather run over with the mower than with the front of my tractor.

    I had always learned to keep the mower tilted up slightly with the rear tilted towards the tractor and the front about 2 inches or so above the ground. I had also learned that this is way too low for the mower to run properly and eject cut material out the back. I do cut some pretty rough field grass with gopher mounds and other uneven dirt mounds and the like, so I would imagine I would lift the mower up a few inches for that, but this could really be a game changer for me on my cutter. I also was not setting my top link correctly for the sway of the mower to work properly from what you are saying here. I had mine quite a bit tighter, but that was also to help it lift higher for moving around, so I guess I will have to adjust it as I go a bit.
    Thanks again!!

    Nice video. Something have done that my dad used to do is use a chain for top link. I've also completely left the top link off and just let the wheel ride on the ground. I use a 6' Bush Hog cutter for my rougher stuff. If I want to cut the grass you seem to be talking about I'd use my 84" Rhino finish mower. Also, nice tractor I've got one just like it. It replaced my old 6600 Ford.

      Thanks for the info! I could have gotten away with a finish mower but I do some projects that require the brush hog so I went with that

      @@CarolinaEarthWerx I did the same thing for years. I have 6' Bush Hog cutter. I finally broke down and bought a used 84" finish mower.

      I’ll have to look into it. Wyoming has been in a drought for years so there hasn’t been much to cut. I actually did the most mowing with my old John Deere 1025r and a 48”…. Took FOREVER!

    I noticed in the tractor you connected it to the top link . In other videos I have heard them say to put it on the bottom? What’s your thoughts ?😊

    So do you set the top link about halfway through the travel to allow max flex up and down?

    How much pressure should be on the tail wheel? I can’t get mind to track properly, it wants to stay skewed sideways. Any advise?

    • @comlbbeau
      @comlbbeau Год назад

      I'd say your top link is too short. Lengthen it and more weight will be on the tailwheel.
