They were always in common here in San Diego! But when the U.S Airways X American Airlines merger took place they took the MD-80s off the list at San Diego and replaced it with A321s 737s and even the hideous Embraer 175s I'll miss this guy who used to set up cars alarms when they would take off at San Diego! *#SuperMaddogSendoff*
Although I have never flown on the 80, nor am I old enough to have flown in the true retro and golden age of flight days, but I feel a sensation every time I see this beautiful silver rocket. It reminds me of a time before I was born and truly captivates all aviation lovers abroad. Happy retirement mr. 80!!
Great video Alex! The AA MD80 will be missed! 😞 My last flight with it was back in 2008 Chicago-Orlando Orlando-New York. Unfortunately there are only a few left in Europe.. I hope to get on board on of them one more time!😃
Great video!! Love to hear the roar of those Pratt & Whitney JT8D engines on the mad dog 😍. Unfortunately they're not anymore in service 😭💔. Regards from El Salvador 🇸🇻
Thanks, Alex; flew on the Maddog many times between DFW and YYC, including one 7 am departure when it was too cold to start the engines. My 18-year old son had his first airliner flight as a baby on that route too. I'll be sure to show him this video.
I am looking forward to my Delta MD-88 flight from ATL-YYZ in December. Might be my last ride on the Mad Dog! Thanks for sharing Alex! You have some great content!
I remember flying on the MD-80 twice on this route as a kid and was so confused of the 2-3 layout in economy. Unfortunately I only got to fly it those two times and always loved the backdoor straight down the aisle.
Another beautiful T-Tail aircraft flying away in the sunset with the B-727.
Mad dog in old scheme, a lovely classic
I’m in the process of crying right now
CYYT - Aviation yeah same
Me too 😥😭
One of my favorite airliners in one of my favorite liveries. Doesn't get much better! Thanks for the great footage!
Nice video. A 36 year era has come to an end as of right now. The final Mad Dog, N984TW, has landed in ROW.
German Aviation uh oh
American Airlines will never be the same without them.
Very nice shots Alex! Can't believe we won't see those anymore...
Fly Air Canada from Newark to Calgary, every year. Catching a glimpse of the Rockies, when landing, still takes my breath away!
EXCELLENT! AA SUPER 80 SEND OFF...GODSPEED! THANKS.
Its truely an end of an era. Looks like you scored some great footage of these old birds while you had the chance!
Amazing footage! I miss these birds so much
Farewell, beautiful bird! 😭 Nice video, fantastic compilation! Thank you, Alex, for the sweet memories!

Thanks for sharing Alex. A fitting tribute to one of my favourite aircraft in all it's various forms.
That's music to my ears
Farewell, beautiful girl. 😕

I saw her on its approach flying directly over my house.

Thank you for giving us this video Alex! I’m gonna miss these Chromies roaring in and out of BNA. My absolute favorite.
20 mins of magnifciant 'Mad Dogs'!
good by MD :( I always love your rocket take off style 😞
Outstanding compilation! It is always very sad to see such a nice aircraft be retired.
Farewell Mad Dog 🧡
Back home in Des Moines, our airport used to have American, Delta, and Allegiant MD-88s before they’ve replaced by Airbus A319s and Delta 717s

Sweet sweet memories...
😍😍😍
😍😍maravilloso avión de su tiempo
I’d pick an MD 80 any day over some lame bumpy cattle car 737 or A321
A321 is terrible
Loud aren't they?
Back in the days when the skyline wasn't so crowded and houses didn't cover Coventry Hills...
Noice
There gone for good now
So they're in the garbage now?
rip md-80
Can you refund the Robux for people that bought FLIGHTLIN3D Beta 1
I hate this plane, the noise and vibration are unbearable
