Yes! And in the process of making sure Jason and Danny don’t have any kind of a father son relationship Sam will end up losing Danny because she will be the reason he doesn’t have his father in his life, after he just got him back!
Sam is a hypocrite. Dante job as being a cop is equally as dangerous as Jason joob being in the mob. Dante runs the risk of not coming home everyday he steps out the house. Which was almost a reality just a few months ago. The reason why Sam is trying to keep Danny away from Jason is so she can keep herself away from Jason. She's fighting the urge to go running after the man who she is truly drawn to and in love with. Because she knows if she confesses that she still wants Jason then she's going to hurt Dante just like she hurt Patrick when she thought when Drew was Jason and then Drew when the real Jason came back. This all has to do with her own personal feelings and she's hiding behind and using that she has to protect Danny to do it.

She tried to have a baby with him for YEARS knowing exactly what he does and now she doesn’t want anything to do with him (even though she’s trying to find out why he’s working for the FBI which is a whole other thing cuz if you want to keep your distance from Jason then why are you all up in his business). Then Dante he’s been a cop from the beginning yet she still chose to make this family with him and live together and now she wants him to leave the PCPD. Sam is exhausting 🙄🙄
One minute Sam wants Jason to stay away. Next minute she wants to help Jason, for Danny. Now she is back to playing keep away. This writing is about as manic as Sonny's moods.
On one hand Samantha is acting like Jason is too dangerous for Danny to be around. But on the other hand she has Spinelli involved in her scheme to keep Jason from going to prison. 🤷
GH has mass confusion in their writing rooms. It's as if Sam has multiple writers and each one writes her totally different even within the same episode. Writers stop the hourly flip flopping of Sam. I know Kelly Monaco is getting whiplash.
I understand where Sam is coming from but she is going to do detrimental hurt to Danny if she does this and he’ll never forgive her for this! I agree with Carly for majority of this bc Jason’s life is dangerous yes but he loves Danny so much… that day in the boat house, Danny wasn’t an unwilling accomplice, he wanted to help his father bc he’s a good son. Sam is being completely overboard with this.
I agree that Sam is being ridiculous, BUT Jake, Danny, Sam and Liz have no idea the real reason Jason disappeared because he intentionally left it out. That's part of why Sam is investigating. I imagine when they find out it circles back to protecting Carly, ish will hit the fan. He hasn't even really sought his sons out since he has been back. They've had to seek him out, and he isn't the warmest. You can tell how different he is w/ Michael vs his two sons. I like Jason and he's a cool character, but this show has a problem w/ not letting certain characters take a fall.
Sam is whoever the writers want her to be to push their agenda. Quite a few characters are undergoing this transition on the show now. Laura. Sam, Ava. Drew just to name a few.
What are the writers doing? This ridiculous character rewrite of Sam makes no sense. Sam and Jason should have been talking 24/7 about their son. Instead we have Jason in the warehouse counting coffee bags and waiting on Anna's poor plans Then we have Sam going to Carly to ask her to tell Jason to stay away from Danny. SMH!! Writers make it make sense.
Who would have thought that Sam who used to be ride or die for Jason would be the one trying to keep her son away from him while Elizabeth is the one who supports him having a relationship with Jake.

Remember when her and Kristina got into it after Sam was out on parole and she was supposed to stay away from Jason and couldn’t and Kristina told Sam she’s a danger junkie and Sam had both kids then. At one point Jason was almost a father figure to Scout when they thought Drew was dead or missing.

2 days ago, she was scamming an FBI agent to help Jason. Like she wasn't putting her own freedom on the line if she had been caught. Now she's at home ringing her hands over her wayward child. First, he's not so wayward. It's mostly made up in her mind. She has been wrong about Danny's whereabouts a few times. Swearing, he was doing something he wasn't supposed to. Plus, she forgets how reckless she's been in her life up to going to jail when she had young children. Jason cared for them while she was in jail. Jason Q was a model teenager before his drunk brother drove him into a tree. Sam was a con artist and thief in her teens, 20', & 30's.
Thank you. It’s the bad writing that makes this silly. It could be written the same story but let the characters be honest to their history. Sam’s fears makes sense as a mother but she sounds stupid when she doesn’t acknowledge her history. Let her fear be about her evolution as a parent
I have no idea what the writers are doing with Sam. My hat is off to Kelly Monaco.She has been able to withstand the flip flopping writing and bring the appropriate emotions to every scene. Writers get it together. Bring back the strong and feisty Sam McCall.

Carly is right, BUT Jason is still a trash father for leaving his sons twice to put other people first. He has intentionally left that detail out, and i imagine when Danny,Jake, Sam and Liz find out, ish will hit the fan.
I am so sorry that Sam, Danny, and Scout are going through all of this. It doesn't make any sense why Sam wants to rip Danny away from his father. Jason has been away from his children for too long. However, I completely understand Sam's concerns.
If she had been a person who worried about those things earlier, then it would make sense, but she was an adult when she had Danny (not some kid who had to grow up) and these tremendous fears make no sense to who she is. She blames Jason's DNA for Danny? Jason's DNA is Jason Quartermaines - that nice preppy kid who wanted to be a doctor - so she needs to consider her own DNA, so that too makes no sense. The Sam character is just being destroyed to move some plot lines the writers want - not the fans.
@JT-WBN I totally agree with you that the character of Sam is being destroyed for plot. This destruction of Sam's character now reminds me of 2006/2007 when the writers were pushing Jason and Liz.

He was held captive by the Cassadines and mind-controlled by Faison.(which idk why that's never been explored further, especially with the added fact that Jake was also mind-controlled at one point too.) As far as Sam, people change/evolve throughout life. It hits different when it's your own kid. I agree that she is being irrational, BUT I don't think she is wrong to call his absence out, especially when it's due to prioritizing other people first. Carly is a grown woman, who can clean up after her own stupidy.
You tell her Carly and besides even if Jasons not in his life that does not mean Danny won;r become a drug addict and die from a an over dose or something . Danny needs a father in his life .
Sam loved everything about Jason that she’s says is bad now. She didn’t want to change him, she accepted him for who he is, she BEGGED to have kids with him. I hate the Sam now. She was willing to risk going back to jail to be a family with him and the writers made her wake up one day and BAM, she’s a hypocritical person who 180’d her feelings for him. I LOVE JaSam and beg them to be together again, but I only write the show in my head 😂

When Sam does her private eye work, she puts herself and her family in danger(if she gets caught). Sam needs to go to therapy, her pulling away from Jason years ago, him being reported as dead(and learning he wasn't), has left trauma with her. Dante' is in a dangerous job every day as well.
Sam should chill, Danny is chasing Jason, not the other way around, Jason is deadbeat, he deals with his kids by leaving them so all she had to do was give it a minute and he will go back to acting like they don’t exist. Ik she thinks she’s protecting Danny from getting his hopes up but like some moms you have to let the kid see for themselves. She been fighting Sonny tooth and nail to leave the mob all those years until she realized the last time they got married he was better to stay head of the organization cause of his enemies. Carly and Jason can never be a real couple due to seeing each other through ideal eyes. Jason doesn’t work for Sonny now so what excuse is he gonna give to stay away from his kids. For years the show been glorifying Jason having a kid to find out it’s not much of an impact with Jason story lines. Can we atleast see them with the Quatermaines during a holiday or some, gosh!
The storylines are awful because of a lack of talented writers. We have left an era of writers who knew how to develop storylines without dragging them out for weeks/months unnecessary as if they had no foresight of where they were going with the character in the beginning. Look at the Anna/Jason/Cades FBI storyline. It has been around for months without an end in sight. Yes, it's takes time to develop a storyline, but this one has no direction.
It doesn’t matter how Danny got here, Carly! He is here now and Sam is trying to keep him safe. Jason was just shooting at people DAYS ago at the warehouse!! Sam is not wrong bringing up Morgan. Carly, more than anyone, should understand that.

Sam was by Jason's side for most of those children's early years.She and Jason were basically parents to Michael,Kristina,Morgan and Molly. So many saves for the Corinthos Organization was directly related to Sam and Jason as a team. I want Jason and Danny to spend time together. But Sam has every right to be concerned for her child,despite her past history. Hopefully soon the writers will free Jason from this Pikeman saga, so that he can have time to truly have a conversation with Sam and Danny. This needs to happen sooner than later.

Sam must have fallen and hit her head, b/c her "Holier Than Thou" attitude has become sickening.....Sam has had a front row seat for the Jason/Carly love affair from jump....They share something that only the 2 of them comprehend. Danny is Jason's son and Danny has expressed a clear, very strong desire to have a relationship with his dad. If we were talking about a 6 year old, I would still disagree with her position but extend more latitude. Danny is closer to a young man than a silly teen. Her attempting to keep them apart will do more harm than good. Allow him to have a relationship with his dad and hope for the best. As parents, we try to keep our kids safe, but you must encourage their independence, as to prepare them for adulthood.... months after turning 18 yo, my oldest wanted to spend the summer in Italy with her 3 HS friends..As much as I wanted to say HELL NO (b/c i don't want to walk around with a knot in my stomach). I've met the travel companions and they are all good people, so I told her I am not crazy about it but she has her own money, it's fine with me as long as we speak twice a day (No texts, I want to chat with her in the AM & PM.

@bkgleesh I want and need the old Sam back. I'm a JaSam fan 4 Ever! I know the true history of this couple.Their journey starting in 2004 has been a joy to watch. Hopefully the writers will get it together and reunite them. Of course, that is how I would write it. Dec.2024 will be the 20th anniversary of them becoming a couple. Writers research history. Stop trying to rewrite history JaSam is often imitated, but never duplicated.
For Sam to throw Morgan name in Carly's face was completely distasteful. Given the fact Morgan"s death was mainly cause by the Jermones and last time I checked isn't that Sam's Family.
This whole conversation just makes me believe that Carly was right when she didn’t support JaSam. Jason should have never walked away from Carly and Michael. Jarly would have raised Michael and probably had another kid or two, like Carson did.

Because of Sam's steadfast love and loyalty to Jason over the years, she has endured physical and emotional trauma. Jason's enemies always went after Sam to get to him.Sam has been beaten up,stalked,sexually assaulted,shot, drugged, attached to a bomb, sold to a drug dealer,left to die in a rock quarrry,made to believe she was raped on her honeymoon. The list goes on,but despite all of this Sam remained faithful to Jason. I don't like this character rewrite of Sam. But Sam lived Jason's life freely and accepted everything that went with it.She never waivered!! Sam walked the walk and talked the talk for many years.She rode with Jason until 2020.It wasn't like she bailed at the first sign of trouble.No, she was in!! So I don't understand why all the hate for Sam. She is now mid 40s and says she wants something different for her son.But trying to keep Danny and Jason apart is not the way. I want the old Sam back, supporting and believing in Jason.But I blame the poor writing not the character.

I don't like Carly that much. But she's 💯 right. She told Sam like it is. I'm on Carly's side for once. It's not just about Danny. It's about Sam too. She still has feelings for Jason and she feels guilty about it because she's with Dante. She's using Danny for punishing Jason for leaving.

I am literally going to FF when Sam is on unless Jason is involved in the scene. Sam has lost all credibility and I think this goes back to when BM (may he RIP) was Jason, Kelly and him got involved off camera and she allowed her personal life into work and doesn't want to work with Steve. This is the writers way of confirming that.

So disappointed in one of my all time fav characters! I'm hoping this is all plot induced (like the tragic break up of '06, which led to the twisted break up of '07 and dont get me started on the torturous break up of '21) I left GH (pretty much every time Jason leaves, lol for past 30 yrs 😂) so I played catch up for his 2017 return and tbh I'm not even bothering for this time (maybe a quick summary here/there) but I honestly don't know what happened to Sam. Jason "dying" in '12 broke her. And of course the plot called for a painfully long reconciliation after Jason's '17 return. But she's never been the same. There's no way the Sam of the 2000s would stand for this. Good for Carly, I love that she's gonna go down memory lane cuz for 8 years Sam was the ONLY love interest who perfectly understood and matched w Jason. She needs to be reminded of who she really is, cuz since Jason left after Danny was born it's been one nightmare after another for her (don't get me started on the whole Drew=Jason fiasco) and all she's been doing for 12 yrs is fear-based decisions. Breaks my heart! 💔
Sidenote: I love LOVE Kelly, but since I've missed so much does anyone know what happened to her voice? When I came back to GH for Jason's return in 2017 I had thought it was really good acting Sam so overwhelmed w the realization her husband Jason wasn't the real Jason that Kelly was playing her w great anxiety and almost like her voice was shaking. but I later discovered it started b4 then, and only gotten worse over the years! did she have a medical condition that makes her speak so slowly w a shaky voice? I have chronic silent reflux, it makes my voice sound raspy and will lose it for a day or so but doesn't make my speech slow down. Just curious if it's anything like that ?

Hate to say it, but in addition to the voice I'm not sure if its the lighting on her or the way they shoot her (I've always wondered if she is not liked at GH for some reason - the writing for her in 07 and now make me think that) but she has not looked good so not sure if maybe she's been ill? (Ignoring the lips, people make mistakes, hope that can be corrected). (PS everyone ages, but this seems like more).

Jason was the reason I started (lol remember when he, Karen, and [the real] Jagger were trapped on an island! lol) and I loved him and Kiesha, and then I love loved him and Robin, but I tell ya it's like when Sam came along this is who I've been wanting for him, that's who we were waiting for! nothing against any of his former partners, but the chemistry w Kelly was just magical! and Jason never had but always needed a strong love interest (emotionally speaking) which is why he and Sam were perfectly matched. lol it's like for a dozen years, he was a single waiting for the other half of a power couple but didn't know it! he and Sam fit PERFECTLY! but looking back, it really felt like the writers just wanted their lives together to be tragic (esp watching a binge of JaSam clips '04-'12) they were always so close and then happiness destroyed at the literal last second! and sorry but wtf! everyone else gets a version of a happy ending, even if it's short lived. Jason and Sam are the only power couple I can think of who get torn apart but who actually belong together. all the other power couples who eventually broke up, if you think about it they really weren't perfectly matched: Sonny/Brenda, Luke/Laura (yup think about that), Carly/Jax, many more examples. but Jason and Sam were written so perfectly, so why do the writers hate them?

Even Luke/Laura got more of a happy ending then JaSam and I watched the Luke/Laura wedding live - (ran home from school) so been here for a while too. I give credit where it's due Carly was absolutely right and Sam wanted Jason's child so badly because Elizabeth had Jake. And Jason yearned for that kid. Interesting isn't Elizabeth is being encouraging of Jake to give Jason a chance and Sam is dead set against it.
Sam wanted a child with Jason from the moment they became a couple in Dec.2004. So Sam wanted Jason's baby way before Elizabeth had Jake. Of all the women in Jason's life Sam has endured the most physical and emotional trauma from his enemies. Sam was kidnapped, stalked,almost raped,attached to a bomb,held hostage,drugged,shot and the list goes on. Who can blame Sam if after 20 years she has decided that this is not the life for her? But Sam has to realize that Danny is not going to stay away from his father.So the parents need to come up with a schedule for Jason and Danny to be together.

This was no longer just Sam wanting to have a child with the man she loved it was like an obsession and she was willing to do whatever it took. Surrogates, donors and Jason was just not into those ideas and maybe that was a good thing cause look where Molly and TJ are now. But there was a clip of her and Amelia, her producer at the time of that show she was doing and she's going on and on about it and she ended the conversation with maybe Jason would forget about Jake and Elizabeth. At that point I think it was desperation because Elizabeth had given him a child. 2 days ago, she was scamming an FBI agent to help Jason. Like she wasn't putting her own freedom on the line if she had been caught. Now she's at home ringing her hands over her wayward child. First, he's not so wayward. It's mostly made up in her mind. She has been wrong about Danny's whereabouts a few times. Swearing, he was doing something he wasn't supposed to. Plus, she forgets how reckless she's been in her life up to going to jail when she had young children. Jason cared for them while she was in jail. Jason Q was a model teenager before his drunk brother drove him into a tree. Sam was a con artist and thief in her teens, 20', & 30's.

If she had been a person who worried about those things earlier, then it would make sense, but she was an adult when she had Danny (not some kid who had to grow up) and these tremendous fears make no sense to who she is. He was held captive by the Cassadines and mind-controlled by Faison.(which idk why that's never been explored further, especially with the added fact that Jake was also mind-controlled at one point too.) As far as Sam, people change/evolve throughout life. It hits different when it's your own kid. I agree that she is being irrational, BUT I don't think she is wrong to call his absence out, especially when it's due to prioritizing other people first. Carly is a grown woman, who can clean up after her own stupidy.

Sam was never a particularly nice person… she’s always been self serving and hypocritical.
The storylines are awful because of a lack of talented writers. We have left an era of writers who knew how to develop storylines without dragging them out for weeks/months unnecessary as if they had no foresight of where they were going with the character in the beginning. Look at the Anna/Jason/Cades FBI storyline. It has been around for months without an end in sight. Yes, it's takes time to develop a storyline, but this one has no direction.

Sam must have fallen and hit her head, b/c her "Holier Than Thou" attitude has become sickening.....Sam has had a front row seat for the Jason/Carly love affair from jump....They share something that only the 2 of them comprehend. Danny is Jason's son and Danny has expressed a clear, very strong desire to have a relationship with his dad. If we were talking about a 6 year old, I would still disagree with her position but extend more latitude. Danny is closer to a young man than a silly teen. Her attempting to keep them apart will do more harm than good. Allow him to have a relationship with his dad and hope for the best. As parents, we try to keep our kids safe, but you must encourage their independence, as to prepare them for adulthood.... months after turning 18 yo, my oldest wanted to spend the summer in Italy with her 3 HS friends..As much as I wanted to say HELL NO (b/c i don't want to walk around with a knot in my stomach). I've met the travel companions and they are all good people, so I told her I am not crazy about it but she has her own money, it's fine with me as long as we speak twice a day (No texts, I want to chat with her in the AM & PM.
I LOVE how Carly drops them truth bombs! We all need a friend like that! This "new version" of Sam is both boring & disgusting. She's becoming more & more like her mother. I don't get Sam, she wants to protect Danny from the lifestyle of his gangster always wearing black and looking into the camera Jason but she's seeing a cop named Dante who has a son and he's close to Danny and her daughter Scout.
Sam is a selfish hypocrite. If Danny gets into trouble , the first person she looks for to save him will be Jason. It’s like she wished Jason was dead 😢 she was never happy that he came back , when he even saved Dante’s life. It’s as if she never loved him.
Hope the old sam show up soon gh this sam is not be true to her self cuz she know deep down inside that jason would never but his kids in dangerous! Come on write please bring kick ass Sam back!

The writing for Sam is all over the place.It's as if there are multiple writers for Sam ,and they don't consult with each other.
A few days ago Sam and Spinelli were working together to free Jason from the clutches of the FBI. Sam didn't want Danny to lose his father again. She told Spinelli she was willing to risk possible federal charges if caught.She was doing this for her son.
Now on today's episode (6/18) the writers have Sam again saying she wants to keep Danny and Jason apart.What is going on?
The writing is giving me whiplash,especially the writing for Sam.

Because of Sam's steadfast love and loyalty to Jason over the years, she has endured physical and emotional trauma.
Jason's enemies always went after Sam to get to him.Sam has been beaten up,stalked,sexually assaulted,shot, drugged, attached to a bomb, sold to a drug dealer,left to die in a rock quarrry,made to believe she was raped on her honeymoon. The list goes on,but despite all of this Sam remained faithful to Jason.
I don't like this character rewrite of Sam.
But Sam lived Jason's life freely and accepted everything that went with it.She never waivered!!
Sam walked the walk and talked the talk for many years.She rode with Jason until 2020.It wasn't like she bailed at the first sign of trouble.No, she was in!!

So disappointed in one of my all time fav characters! I'm hoping this is all plot induced (like the tragic break up of '06, which led to the twisted break up of '07 and dont get me started on the torturous break up of '21)
I left GH (pretty much every time Jason leaves, lol for past 30 yrs 😂) so I played catch up for his 2017 return and tbh I'm not even bothering for this time (maybe a quick summary here/there) but I honestly don't know what happened to Sam. Jason "dying" in '12 broke her. And of course the plot called for a painfully long reconciliation after Jason's '17 return. But she's never been the same. There's no way the Sam of the 2000s would stand for this.
Good for Carly, I love that she's gonna go down memory lane cuz for 8 years Sam was the ONLY love interest who perfectly understood and matched w Jason. She needs to be reminded of who she really is, cuz since Jason left after Danny was born it's been one nightmare after another for her (don't get me started on the whole Drew=Jason fiasco) and all she's been doing for 12 yrs is fear-based decisions. Breaks my heart! 💔
Sidenote: I love LOVE Kelly, but since I've missed so much does anyone know what happened to her voice? When I came back to GH for Jason's return in 2017 I had thought it was really good acting Sam so overwhelmed w the realization her husband Jason wasn't the real Jason that Kelly was playing her w great anxiety and almost like her voice was shaking. but I later discovered it started b4 then, and only gotten worse over the years! did she have a medical condition that makes her speak so slowly w a shaky voice? I have chronic silent reflux, it makes my voice sound raspy and will lose it for a day or so but doesn't make my speech slow down. Just curious if it's anything like that ?

Hate to say it, but in addition to the voice I'm not sure if its the lighting on her or the way they shoot her (I've always wondered if she is not liked at GH for some reason - the writing for her in 07 and now make me think that) but she has not looked good so not sure if maybe she's been ill? (Ignoring the lips, people make mistakes, hope that can be corrected). (PS everyone ages, but this seems like more).

Jason was the reason I started (lol remember when he, Karen, and [the real] Jagger were trapped on an island! lol) and I loved him and Kiesha, and then I love loved him and Robin, but I tell ya it's like when Sam came along this is who I've been wanting for him, that's who we were waiting for! nothing against any of his former partners, but the chemistry w Kelly was just magical! and Jason never had but always needed a strong love interest (emotionally speaking) which is why he and Sam were perfectly matched. lol it's like for a dozen years, he was a single waiting for the other half of a power couple but didn't know it! he and Sam fit PERFECTLY! but looking back, it really felt like the writers just wanted their lives together to be tragic (esp watching a binge of JaSam clips '04-'12) they were always so close and then happiness destroyed at the literal last second! and sorry but wtf! everyone else gets a version of a happy ending, even if it's short lived. Jason and Sam are the only power couple I can think of who get torn apart but who actually belong together. all the other power couples who eventually broke up, if you think about it they really weren't perfectly matched: Sonny/Brenda, Luke/Laura (yup think about that), Carly/Jax, many more examples. but Jason and Sam were written so perfectly, so why do the writers hate them?

Even Luke/Laura got more of a happy ending then JaSam and I watched the Luke/Laura wedding live - (ran home from school) so been here for a while too. Sam loved Jason and wanted a child with him.
She said she changed and he didn't after almost 20years in each other's lives. Why is that so hard to believe? Why do people get divorced? There are a million reasons why people do things.
I also know the destructive character rewrite of Sam always comes in handy for the writers when they want to highlight others as being rock solid behind Jason.

I give credit where it's due Carly was absolutely right and Sam wanted Jason's child so badly because Elizabeth had Jake. And Jason yearned for that kid. Interesting isn't Elizabeth is being encouraging of Jake to give Jason a chance and Sam is dead set against it.
Sam wanted a child with Jason from the moment they became a couple in Dec.2004. So Sam wanted Jason's baby way before Elizabeth had Jake.

Maybe that is true but someone posted clips on twitter and they told a different story. This was no longer just Sam wanting to have a child with the man she loved it was like an obsession and she was willing to do whatever it took. Surrogates, donors and Jason was just not into those ideas and maybe that was a good thing cause look where Molly and TJ are now. But there was a clip of her and Amelia, her producer at the time of that show she was doing and she's going on and on about it and she ended the conversation with maybe Jason would forget about Jake and Elizabeth. At that point I think it was desperation because Elizabeth had given him a child. And then there was the time Jason admitted to Sonny he wished he never had given in to Sam because he didn't think he was meant to be a father.

She slept with Ric,he slept with Liz.They reunited late 2006.Early 2007 they were both iall in for a baby.There is a clip where Carly goes to Sam and says she will light a fire under Jason,Carly goes to the office and tells Sonny Jason needs to be home making a baby,Sonny sends Jason home,and Jason sends Spinelli to a hotel.
Check out 2011 clios.Sam has made her peace with not having a child. After Jake dies,Carly brings Sam the pamphlet on Fertility Reconstruction, plus volunteers to be their surrogate. Carly is convinced a baby is what Jason needs to help with his grief.Sam had the surgery, they got married, and trust me Jason was right there with Sam talking about a baby.
Now that comment in 2020 where Jason was telling Sonny he gave in to please Sam is a total rewrite.Like I said in early 2007 Jason and Sonny had talked about a baby and at times Sonny and Carly were the ones pushing.
