@@ccrum32cause the stampede isn’t trying to be scale. On the other hand this Tacoma is very scale and the chassis being very visible takes away from the realism
Don't forget that it has center differential, which is much more durable compared to a plastic spur gear that becomes bald very quickly. Also the center differential gives the ability to put different oil viscosity and change the behavior of the model. So all of these with the licensed body makes it more expensive. For me it's worth the money and it's very beautiful and looks aggressive because of the tires and the body style.
@@myong9Oh no! That's the nightmare. If the body is cracking, you can try to add this tape to the inside of the body to hold it all together better. It adds some weight but might be worth it. www.amainhobbies.com/kyosho-aluminum-heat-shield-tape-40x2500mm-kyo96165b/p37779 -Brett
So a little question I have never used with aluminum chassis so if I bend it, what happens do I have to take the whole entire car apart just to replace it or can I just take the metal chassis out or does the metal have to stay in?
You can try straightening the chassis but once it bends, it will be more prone to bending in the same spot in the future. To replace the chassis, you will need to fully uninstall it from the vehicle and replace it with a new one. -Brett
How does Kyosho even sell these things? T plug, hair in the light buckets, body completely jacked up from the chassis, plastic shocks and CVD 😂 They should sell a generic version of this without the Tacoma licensing for $350. I paid $500 for the new Mojave 4S and it’s not even comparable 😅
like i said before, i like it but even the Body looks scaled it also looks cheab and is really wobbly while driving. so for the price i say add a bit and get like a losi baja ray.
I think that is probably a very good smooth power system. For a scale looking vechile I like vechiles that drive smoothly at all speeds similar to a real vechile. My biggest gripe with the Traxxas Raptor R and the 3s VXL in general, is on 3s it is a cogging and surging machine which is impossible to drive at slow to medium speeds. You have to drop to 2s or go alot smaller on the pinion which compromises speed. A good scale basher would also be the BigRock 6s albeit $200 more but an awesome vechile. Even the 6s Mojave another scalish vechile that drives excellent at all speeds. The Maxx is another excellent one albeit not as scale but still a great driving vechile.
Seems way overpriced, and while the body itself is scale looking, seeing the huge gaps through the wheel wells between the body and the chassis does not look good. Personally, I would not buy this, unless it was close to a $300 or less price point.
I had a Nikko top of the line in 1989 or something. Full speed 25 km/h. Silly ofcourse but now my son has a 75 km/h rc and every time he’s fixing something. To much power nowadays.
so 500 for a hybrid SCT RC CAR with a Taco body, i will pass. The TA enduro Knightrunner is a good Taco 1/10 with front independent suspension and rear drive axle.
My best friend has one , the bad things I had seen about it are : body is pretty weak compared to others , it has a pretty low acceleration compared to vxl slash or vxl raptor and it has a not so great brakes it also has a bad air control , the body mounts move a lot as this guy said , suspension is pretty rare at driving it feels like though but when jumping it feels extremely soft so I don’t really like it , but he chasis and materials in it all are pretty durable , the shocks and all that too , it has good speed in my opinion , I also don’t like the position in the one battery is because right there it is extremely easily that it gets damaged but it’s a good car but I’d say go for a vxl slash and buy a Tacoma body for it
Dear kyosho using a 5s capable motor with 3s capable esc makes 1 rly slow basher. Youd have to gear it to the moon to be fast on 3s and the esc mosfets would explode...
The body looks nice, but there it somehow ends for me. The body sits too high and one can literally see through so the whole car looks very hollow. The suspension seems too stiff for off-roading. Everything that could have been made out of plastic also is. I mean - plastic shocks at this price? Plus the body attachment looks like an afterthought. Bottom - I wouldn’t buy one, sorry Kyosho.
seems like a good bit of tech & design ... personally, i'm not fan of the mall crawler body. to each their own. seems like it would be more stable if they had left it wider.
Unfortunately, the only "good" thing I see in this is the body...and, it's not just because I'm a Toyota fan. While the aluminum chassis plate is great, v the rest of the chassis is highly questionable. The body mounts have got to be the worst I've seen, and it won't surprise me if those turn out to be one of the primary "weak points". It's too bad Amain doesn't ever seem to want to do a true "durability test"...guess, we'll just have to wait for Kevin Talbot to get ahold of one of these. For those who really want this truck, my best suggestion would be to buy a Traxxas Raptor (referring to 58094-8, not the 'Raptor R'), upgrade it to Traxxas' VXL electronics, and then replace the F-150 body with this body (I know, the body isn't yet available, but it's safe to assume that it will be within the next few months).
Watch AussieRC’s video on it. Main “weak” spot is indeed the body mount but he found a solution for it. The platform as whole is EXTREMELY durable. I have a Mad Wagon and can attest to that
It’s a shame such a nice looking body is gonna get decimated by the chassis and the driving style. Almost seems pointless buying something that looks so scale when it’s trying to be a short course basher.
Well I don't know a lot about rc but it sure is sad to hear it's built like an idiot, because it's one of the few good looking big bashers, most of the other stuff might be "hobby grade" and priced as such but sure look like cheap knock off toys
Composite, sir, composite. And seeing Kyosho following the steps of Traxxasor or Arrma by adding so much composite pieces, non threaded shocks and other details makes me fear for the company's reputation and future.
Its overpriced and It’s just not a good looking truck. The fenders stick out way too far, you can see the entire chassis on the side, and the finders are way too high -someone who is no where near designing an RC car
Being able to see the chassis under the body looks terrible. It looks like a 1993 S10 with a body lift where you can see the whole ass frame lol.
Take out the body clips from the body mounts move it down a hole or two and the problem is solved.
Its like that on a traxxas stampede but i dont see anyone complaining abt that. But still you can move it down, that is if you buy it.

They should have made a real bed for the body and left the stickers off of the windows so you could see inside of the truck
if they are sticker you could probably just peel them off
Only one problem: Inner fenders wells to keep debris out from under the truck chassis.😅 If kyosho goes for aftermarket parts for it.🤔

Wow, I like kyosho but this thing looks goofy, being able to the whole chassis under the body like that. Also way better rigs out there for the price.
