- Meat on a stick, basically that is what Kebabs and Souvlakis are. Kebabs are a cult classic meal or sandwich. In this episode of MeatHead, I show you from scratch how to make Kebabs, and all the prep is done by scratch, including the Tzatziki Sauce, and Pita Bread.

Great cook and video. Now you are getting into your wheelhouse. Great walkthrough talkthrough instruction. Love learning some new stuff about Greek recipes. Thanks-Phil
Phil it is always great having you come by for a visit. I was afraid that I was going to go through it all really fast, and not be able to clarify it, that is why I have held off on making Kebabs, but then one day a guy named Phil did some Kebabs and it was on like Donkey Kong. I then knew I could do them, along with Tzatiki Sauce And Pita Bread. So I actually thank you Phil for the motivation to do this recipe. 👍🏼
MeatHead hey it's good to know I got you back in gear. Like I said, you have the know how and all the tools. Great job. Kabobs looked great. Enjoyed
@@meatcranium4280 how long do you grill these for on each side

Smokin' Joe’s Hey man. Thanks for stopping by and commenting and watching
I agree on the "sample pieces". I have been known to eat as much as half a ribeye while I'm finishing up the steaks for my wife and daughter (who prefer theirs more toward well done). That's the best part of the cook, and builds a cook's confidence in the quality of the product. You know it's good when it brings a smile to your face and you can easily pull the meat apart with your fingers.
handcannon me as well I like to have 2 steaks for me. One sample one to officially eat.
They look great !
Mis Neya THANKYOU ma’am, my family enjoyed them

These beef and chicken kebabs looks really good.. I'll give these a try.
I've also made pork souvlaki and pitas using a different marinade.
Cheers!
Elton this is an awesome recipe, you should try it. The best compliment one of us can get is when you make something, someone tries the recipe, and they love it. Thanks for stopping by watching, and commenting
Dude these look awesome! Can’t wait to watch how you make that sauce (which I absolutely love) and the pita bread. Great idea letting us know what you’ve got coming up. Intro was really cool seeing some behind the scenes footage, very cool. Oh and is that a Peace Maker Trading Co hat you’ve got on at the end? I’m wearing one of their shirts in the pork steaks vid. Great company. Another excellent video that has me wishing I was eating some of those kabobs!
Barlow BBQ Not to sure about the hat. I was in an auto parts store and seen it, and was like”Hey I’m American, and that’s an American Flag 🇺🇸 hat”, so me bought. The intro was to show people that don’t know what a video Entails, what goes on. I was going to do a whole video on it, but decided that I could do it as an intro. Thanks for watching Bro.
Oh yeah, I remember seeing that hat in an auto parts store, too! Well you should check out Peace Maker anyhow - they've got some great shirts and hats. If you ever get around to doing a whole behind the scenes episode, I'd be real interested to see how you do your thing!
Hey there Mr. Meathead, I don't know how this video slipped past me but I'm glad I found it. Those kabobs looked amazing! I can't wait for the rest of the series so I can assemble this sandwich! I've seen them but have never had one so I'm excited. I know I've said this before but I really like that knife. It's beautiful, the shape looks perfect for the kitchen and also seems practical for butchery. Where did you get it and how much are they? Cheers to ya buddy and thanks for making these videos
WHAT’S UP RUSTY!!! I was wondering where you were. Tzatiki Sauce this Saturday 0830 Eastern time. Pita Bread next Saturday, same time. The following week will be Ultimate Gyros, Yes Beef and Lamb in an untraditional way. The knife is a Serbian Chefs Knife with Damascus carbon steel. I got mine on E Bay. It was a rare find. You can also look up Almanza style chefs knife. There is a RUclips Channel called Almanza kitchen where they use and sell those knifes, they are also my inspiration for my Ultimate Videos, however I put my own unique twist on it. I got mine for $140 on EBAY. Almanza Kitchen sells them on there Facebook for $360. However mine looks better and the performance is outstanding. Thanks for watching and commenting
Holy kebab batman, those looked great. I like them in the wrap, nice and tidy and tasty.
Random Acts of Cooking Thanks for stopping by. In the next coming weeks I have Tzatiki Sauce And Pita Bread coming.
Looks great MH. I bet they tasted great.
Texas Style Cuisine They were awesome. Thanks for stopping by and commenting
You know it I got to see what you are up to
Love the intro. Very nice Kebabs they look really good nice marinade. Interesting lighting what exactly do you use looks pretty simple. did not want to go buy some really expensive lighting setup.
I have the lighting umbrellas too, but I don’t use them. The Brand is NEEWER, My wife actually picked them up from a friend of hers that was closing down her Business, so She got a great deal on them. They are pretty inexpensive on Amazon, just search up photo lighting. I am going to be getting LED photo Bulbs soon. I hate these compact Florescence
Great video man awesome setup gives new channels like myself an idea of what it takes to make a good video cheers man
New sub
in for the grill bbq Hey I appreciate it. I was going to do a whole video on “ Behind the Scenes”, type Stuff but I thought it would make a cool intro. Thanks for watching. How often are you going to post?
in for the grill bbq make sure you hit the notifications bell. I did😀
MeatHead I'm a brand new channel just trying to get going here.. I hope once I get going I can do a video a week at least but that might be a little bit optimistic.. you guys pump out some great content man.. I just want to have fun with it and pay some respect to The Craft that you guys enjoy so much cheers bud..
in for the grill bbq cheers
Hey Meat, back after being gone for a few days... visiting my middle daughter at her college for family weekend. Anyway great video... souvlaki is a favorite of mine. I didn't realize the marinade was tomato based... I thought it would be more of a olive oil and lemon citrus based... Bro, that pita sandwich was the tits and you sure did have the wrap down... makes it so much easier to eat... Thanks have a good one!
Love me some gyros. Now I'm gonna have to thaw some beef lol.
I’ve got it all coming in the next coming weeks. Ultimate Gyros, Tzatiki, and Pita.
Looks really good and tasty...gotta try that. love the knife...where can I find that knife?
Big Dawg Hey man!! Thanks for watching. I got the knife on EBay, I just happened to stumble on it. I put in Serbian Chef Knife, or you can try Almanza Knife. Thanks again for stopping by.
Liked how You made it all from scratch! Curious why you chose to use a griddle plate, instead of going direct....any reason?
That's a lot of work putting kabobs together ….. but it's all worth it in the end. Looked Great! \m/
I went on to the griddle plate for the majority of them, mainly for the chicken do they would not burn. It would have been to hot, how close I was to coals, also it is really hard to pass up cooking with cast iron. The Kebabs really don’t take that much time to prep or cook. Thanks for watching and commenting \m/
I got it now! \m/
Thank you! Has subscribed#771. Like#33
А нам так нравится! Thanks for watching and commenting and Liking and Subscribing
We will be glad to see you on our channel
Greek souvlaki is made from Pork not Beef :)
Also try to put the skews to water for some hours so they dont burn later.
dragonld123 thanks
maybe premature, seeing as im not done with the video while typing, but why the grill pan in the grill?
DAVON D To prevent flare ups. There is oil in the marinade. Thanks for watching
Oh got you now. Funny I never thought of it b4. Good job 👍
Great!!! Very interesting video!!! I liked and subscribed))) Let's be frieds!)
Well, I did what u told me, watch this video from last week 🤣🤣🤣
Did ya like it
If you want a hint of sweet, without the sugar, add basil. That's what I do with spaghetti/lasagna sauce; no extra sugar needed. My Grandma used to put a crap-ton of sugar, a bunch of whole cloves, and some molasses in her spaghetti sauce. I think that the recipe was originally formulated to torture prisoners of war in Roman times.
The best spaghetti, IMO, is made with homemade Italian sausage and a thick carpet of different types of melted cheeses (I use three). You have to season the meat and make the sauce about three days ahead of time, for best results, but it's worth it.
I learned The whole sugar thing from a 3 star Michelin Chef. Adding sugar neutralizes the acids in the tomato sauce, and when sautéing vegetables sugar helps break down acids as well. I also find A smoother taste as well without getting the sugary taste, I don’t go overboard just a Dab will do ya.
please dont tell me he used ketchup
You don't cook kebab on a stick
Jack Naga I worked in a commercial Greek Restaurant and that’s how we did it. Everyone does it differently. Thanks for watching and commenting
New politically incorrect video: Top 10 Little-Known Uses for the Middle Finger
handcannon I love my middle finger, so many uses. I told a guy he was number one🖕🏼the other day. Lol
Yeah, it's nice to give themthe benefit of the doubt ... tell them they're #1, when they're probably closer to #2.
handcannon Lol. Your a funny Dude. I have a hard time keeping pace with you
I enjoyed the behind the scenes look. Great setup. Those kebabs looked fantastic as well. Good eating right there. Thanks for sharing, brother!
Big W BBQ I think people need to see what goes into making a video. Thanks for stopping by and watching and commenting
MeatHead totally agree!
