I travelled around the world for almost 40 years; Owino market is the most beautiful in the world. I went there to buy food almost every day, for 10 months. Even the soap for shower, they make it in the market. It is a place where people work very hard. And it is safe, even for a white skin like me :-)

Uganda only lacks infrastructure, the food part is sorted, this country is green and lots of food. Never heard of people starving in Uganda like in Kenya.
u do farm we buy is not like u give us for free.its even gulf countries don't farm they do buy becouse thy have mone
Unlike other countries where government owns most buildings, in uganda they belong to individuals so actually people r hard working

Honestly i have never been glued to 5he screen for this long. U kept me watching. I liked the street food part n kept me salivating as u said the chicken n nyama choma mishkaki was tasty. Can see Uganda is blessed with varied of foods as from the Owino market scenes.
Pioneer mall was another interesting one for me. Thanks for the hosts n their hospitality towards my Kenyan sister. 😊

In Owino Market there is a spot where two Uganda Martyrs were killed and there is a Chapel. The market was also renamed to St Balikuddembe Market after one of the Martyrs killed from there. But still most people address it by the old name Owino.

Kampala has its own flavour! The Market is crowded! But if i am Kampalas Mayor! I will improve , The set up of the market i will demolish the old Market style! Build new infrastructure, where ipeople have more space, between stores,between people ! I will Air condition the coocking Area, i will build restrooms! i will change everything!
