Great review as always, Pete. One thing I'd add for folks who might be put off by the 10 shot capacity, for shooting practical and the like - there are aftermarket magazine extensions (+4, I believe) that can be acquired for fairly cheap and are very easy to install.

I personally never really liked my GSG due to the weight - imo they're overbuilt when scaled up as LBPs and thus don't feel very pistol-like. All that said the one I had at least ran pretty much flawlessly and of course they're fairly cheap by UK (mainland) standards, even new out the box. Eventually got the Gold Cup and then later the K22. Totally agree that they (LBPs/Rs) have their place and I'm so very glad they exist in lieu of nothing following nonsensical law.
Agreed, better than nothing, but they are not for me, as I still miss my handguns, and they just don't float my boat, it's the 12/24" length thing that really gets me. But more power to those use them.
Pete, at the Start of the Vid, shouldnt You Proove the Pistol or any Firearm / Air too, is Safe before Waving it about and Pointing it backwards

I take your point, but I'm on a closed range and alone, the camera is locked off and the firearm in all cases is cleared by me before hand. Yep price is good for what you get, pity they don't throw in a spare mag

Yeah, like that's going to happen! UK - can you make some LBPs, Kimber - no problem, how many do you want 5000? UK, well maybe 100, Kimber - sorry bud order is too small. And they would not be cheap! Those are the harsh facts...
what happens if the coat hanger is removed? Get in trouble with the law? It looks somewhat hideous & a nuisance

Around 5 years for possessing a section 5 firearm, and then the additional charge for modifying it. I would say depending on the judge and pre sentencing report either 5 or 7-9 years.
Worst 22lr LBP on the market in my opinion. End up trading mine in to buy a k22. After no end of failure and repairs.
I've tested three in my time at Shooting Sports. The first was not all that, but the other two proved very reliable.
"Worst on the market"? ..... nah! This is a case of shoddy marksman blaming his tools. GSG1911 is a brilliant LBP.
