This sure-to-be-a classic is in Stuart's published tune book "Land of Bens and Glens and Heroes." I bought the book just for this particular tune. He kindly signed the copy for me.
@@lindsaygow3063 Hello Lyndsay. I too bought the book but also Stuart sent me a copy of "The Shores of Caledonia". I understand that his other book of tunes is available possibly with a cd so that we can see how how The Master plays them.
@@mactweedie Very kind of Captain Samson to send you a copy. I will re-examine his website for the CD that you mention, much easier than trying to hum the tunes to myself. You've probably noticed that the published "Shores of Caledonia" does not include the intro as played on the video. I quite like it and play this intro to the rest of the written tune. I've tried to set this intro down in .bmw/ bww but I'm sloppy at it and about to ask Stuart if he has this available. Cheers aye
@@lindsaygow3063 Hello Lindsay, You appear to be doing what I do myself .I am not a member of a pipe band but I play along with the bagpipe music on RUclips. I also have study books, a few dvd discs and sheet music. My main problem is the pipes are not appreciated by my next door neighbours who are as noisy as heck. I wait until they are out before I play. All the best Eric.
He was an awesome Pipe Major.
How do you get your pipes sounding so good?
Stuart, from a fellow piper. A great composition. I would love to play this. Is there any sheet music available?
