Beaver nuggets is what drew me in the other night when it was live. Someone drew it and I had to tune it to listen. Caught a couple minutes of it before realizing I missed quite a bit. Love this podcast.
The topic of radio stations changing hits hard for me. In 2005, an oldies station that I listened to all the time became "Jack FM" without warning. I hated it. They switched to "Classic Hits" in 2012, and a few years ago they switched to "Classic Hip Hop" and changed their call letters.
My favorite station(Fresh 99.1 for alternative music) when I first got my drivers license in highschool was great. I remember it was about my second year of university where they changed to all Christmas music for december then come January they had all new on air staff and it changed to 80s and modern pop. I remember being confused but then just resorted to a different station.
God this time of year is usually hard for me, and while it is better being able to laugh really helps! I have loved this podcast and cannot wait for more next year!
In regards to Stephen's comment about digital vs physical games, I'm put in a tough spot, because there definitely are a handful of games from 15-20 years back that I do still go back and play, but that's also less than 5% of all of my games so I could probably aim for changing the digital/physical split to keep myself from owning more clutter that I haul around wherever I go
arg. it bothers me about jon's comment but he's probably right. I got pretty frustrated about nintendo's current model of subscriptions for their old games but the fact is that most people probably won't care about owning those games, they just want to play them once or twice again.
Good to see the Sega Channel getting the attention it deserves. Sega were brilliant with technical innovation but often had no follow-through on their ideas.
As someone who is making a game for Protonjon I can say I am actively creating a few games based off all these stores and restaurants of disc only and will make sure this Mall of Chaos Only will happen

Fun fact about the PS2 hard drive: Sony once released PS2 Linux, which was a Linux distro you could install to that hard drive and run from the PS2, as its name implies. From what I read, it was like super limited, but it was still genuine Linux. Interestingly enough, some versions of the PS3 had "Other OS", which allowed you to install Linux on it as well. Sadly Linux on the PS4 is unofficial, and I haven't heard about Linux on the PS1 (even though there is unofficial N64 Linux, so that generation can run it) or PS5. As much as I love(d) Windows Phone, I don't blame anyone for not liking it, considering it was pretty quirky, and you have to be the right kind of person to like it. Too bad Microsoft ruined the idea of tiles for people by forcing them onto desktops, rather than keeping them on phones where they work well (in my experience).
On GameCube memory cards and weird numbers: It sounds like the cards were split into 8 KB blocks, with 5 blocks reserved and/or already used up for purposes other than the save files (most likely the file system itself), and they tell you how many blocks were left for actually storing data.
Having put the whole story together completely out of order, i saw the “stephen you’re scaring keppy” picture a few days ago and just assumed that it actually happened during breakfast stream

The FFXIV talk is so funny just a few days later because right now, the critically acclaimed MMO cannot be played for free by anyone up to level 60. In fact Square Enix has huge sales just to make sure people who DO have it don't play it until the queue problem passes. The marketing is so good it backfired at the worst time possible
I actually saw a thing in regards to how many consoles have been sold per like company and uh Yeah Xbox was never in a console war with anyone as they are the lowest selling of the three In terms of games that probably a different story
