Hi Amy, thanks so much! Oh it’s literally the biggest challenge we face! I’m busy trying to upload Lost in Kruger Episode 8 as we speak! Lots of frustratingly slow WiFi, and driving up (or down) mountains to get cell signal!
Generally cell signal is more reliable than WiFi in Southern Africa. But comes at a fee though obviously! I’ve sat uploading in some weird and wonderful places!
Thanks for your reply@@LostinAfrica - I guess the beauty for you is you only really need a great connection when you need to upload. The rest can be edited offline. Thanks for inspiring us that we can work + travel in SA. We were nomads in Asia for 3 years and have recently returned to SA - we're trying to do all the SAN parks in 2021 and are very envious of your stealthy wheels ;)
@@amyroberts5820 Hi Amy, it's so funny that you asked this now, I am having an ordeal of a time trying to get Episode 8 of Lost in Kruger up! We tried first on bad wifi, it took 8 hours and failed at 96%, then we took a game drive out up a mountain to get signal and the 3G was down due to load shedding, I am now sitting at Orpen 2 hours from camp, trying to reupload it from scratch, touch wood it is working, but slowly! So yeah it is possible, not as easy as Asia in terms of cell signal, but better than you would expect. Excited to see your content from all the SanParks, you really should add the KZN parks if you can!

That's actually a tricky question right now. I've been on Nikon my whole life and recently moved over to the Canon R5 for work. I still have my Nikon D850 though, and I can't afford to replace my Nikon 500mm f4 right now, so I am torn between trading the Nikon and going 100% Canon, or hanging onto the D850 as a wildlife camera until work gets a bit back to normal. All drone stuff is DJI Mavic 2 Pro, but I am actually toying with getting the Air 2 tomorrow for my shoot.
Hey, 500mm f4, absolutely love that lens! Unfortunately I’m changing brands so will have to do without so many lens choices for a while! But 8K video! ☺️
It's actually really tough recording the right ambient sound while doing these, but we have learnt loads since this video and try incorporate a lot more ambient sound in the more recent Lost in Kruger series if you'd give them a go. :)
