the snare has the perfect balance of blop, penk, plemp, and plap
Couldn't have said it better myself.
r/oddlyspecific
Completely agree. You really know about this things, brother
I came here to say exactly this.
And ping
this is much closer to a combination of death metal and hardcore than deathcore is
Literally. Confuses the shit out of me how this isn’t called deathcore. Whatever the fuck deathcore is now is just lame
Maybe modern deathcore but OG deathcore is definitely a closer combination of Brutal Death and Hardcore
@@slaythembeforeme I agree. Bands like Animosity with their first album Shut It Down are a huge influence on this kind of sound, and are credited as being extremely early deathcore. This is almost like true deathcore from the early 2000's.
'Deathcore‘ was just emo scene kids trying to make metal lmao 😂
@edwinhassid.7337 not even a little bit.
Whoever tuned that drum kit needs a raise cuz damn 🔥🖕🏻
Exactly, it sounded killer!
facts
Cuts like a knife!!!
fucking ping snare always fucks hard
The future of death metal is safe
This is shit
Jesus christ. FUBU jersey guy has never missed a show in his life.
That guy.. Think anyone has told him what FUBU stands for?
@@brianbogan3363 I think he knows but he thinks it means something else.
man I saw fubu get dropped during mind force 😫
FUBU 05 had every shows
Would you miss the show if you were able to go to a venue like this with as many acts and tours of this caliberthat come through
Not saying there’s anything wrong with bands talking or hyping the crowd, but I respect the hell out of a band that doesn’t do that and just lets the music move the crowd on its own.
Yep. Rarely does talking actually make it a better show. I loved that about a band called Homewrecker, they just played no BS talking
Fr, gotta let the music speak for you.
That snare is crispy af!
Snare goes pang.
Bands like 200 Stab Wounds and Gatecreeper are restoring my faith in modern metal. Got to see both of them live a few weeks ago. Both bands are hard AF.
They are breathing some much needed life back into death metal. In my opinion, death metal was getting over produced and stale. These lads are easily some of the best modern metal musicians
are there more new death metal bands like GC and 200? I just got into Death Metal cause i never really liked the old school stuff (production and vocals always turned me off)
@@DigitalBath306 sanguisugabogg, undeath, frozen soul, creeping death, and mutilatred are all great
@@DigitalBath306 old death metal is closer to this than typical modern death metal i urge you to give it another go youre missing out on a ton of really good shit
@@ethanhayes3474 yea but like theres been an entire wave of bands bringing back that raw sound for years before these dudes even popped up
Ridiculously hard band. These dudes will be huge!
It's all about that death metal two-step rhythm 🥩 🔨 👹
the hardcore two stepping to brutal DM in this video is hilarious.
@@devin3247 it’s awesome, it’s a cross-over I never expected to see in my lifetime but I absolutely love it lol
@@devin3247 it is a hardcore music festival. just like when Nails played This is hardcore fest
Honestly I love it when death metal and hardcore mixes. Not deathcore wise but the music style of death metal, fast brutal sledgehammer styled aggression, with hardcore stage presence and moments. One thing I will always give punk and hardcore is the stage presence is fuckin unmatched
This hardcore/death metal cross over shit is my favorite stuff in years
Love the drummer's style for this band. Its groovey. Works well with the thrashy guitars. Been really liking their newest album lately.
Phallic Filth
2:44 Skin Milk
5:55 Tow Rope Around the Throat
9:42 Stifling Stew
12:09 Drilling Your Head
14:17 Itty Bitty Pieces
17:07 Slave to the Scalpel
19:41 She Was Already Dead
Opening riff of Tow Rope Around the Throat sound like song from Amon Amarth
Brushed my teeth to Stifling Stew and my molars fell out.
Let’s gooooo
government watch list just for typing out the song titles lmfao
@@julianpawlak1472 there are worse song titles lol
Just found this band this year too, it’s pure Caveman Death Metal
the way it should be. amen brother
Wouldn’t call this caveman at all lol it’s pretty musical melodic and structured compared to other bands out there. Kinda early cannibal corpse worshippy. Still a fantastic band though.
Sounds like any other old school death metal band, which isn’t a bad thing at all
More like traditional death metal, with a respect for early thrash, and the ability to move the fucking crowd without resorting to open E chugga chugga riffs.
Fuuuuuuarrrrrk ya
I am obsessed with the snare! The deep, cracky sound is to die for!!
🤘🏻🤘🏻
I was thinking the same, never heard any snare that good before, it's just so brutal
Ludwig Acrolite. He's using a Galaxy B/W badge from the '80s, but the silver finish and grey paint B/O badges sound just as good. You used to be able to pick one up for $50, but now the word is out and prices are creeping closer to the $200 - 300 range.
@@arhshields you are a true g, mate. Thank you for the info!!
The death metal scene needs 200 stab wounds and frozen soul on tour together ASAP 🔥🤘🏽💯
plus Fulci and that would be the death to everyone. So it might be not legal😵💫😄
@@manu_san4517 if i didn't break a bone at that show i would be so mad
Frozen soul did a tour with Sanguisugaboog vomit foruth and I was talking with the guitarist for Sanguisugaboog and he was saying how 200 was gonna be on that line up but they ended up getting booked for another that would of been the show of a life time if that happened show was fucking amazing either way tho great lineup.
I was lucky enough to catch them together in Texas at Wrecking Ball Metal Madness. Sanguisugabogg, Devourment, and tons of other great bands were there as well.
and Undeath
Always impressed at the quality of video/audio this channel puts out. Really unmatched. Thank YOU
200 Stab Wounds goes so fucking hard 🤘🏻
I love the shot at 11:39 of the floor where everyone is going in on hardcore dancing it makes you feel pumped and wanna dance too lmao
Saw these guys earlier this week with Gatecreeper..2 of the best bands out right now.
The amount of times I went back to 11:30 is ridiculous. Goes mad hard.
one of my favorite riff/fill in two step combos, pure porn for the ears
I wish they played it that quick on the record, so hard
Gonna be honest this band didn't click with me until watching this live set. Really loving this, those drums sound especially great
+1
I was the same until I saw them live in Louisville. They absolutely fuck live.
The boys making cleveland proud 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Bout the only thing The Mistake on the Lake can be proud of...
Goddamn right

The love I have for this band is huge. Thank you
After their set the other night in Detroit, I fist bumped the singer/guitarist and said "sick show", then walked away before I said anything stupid...
you have strength sir
Hell yeah brother.
The spirit of death metal truly lives on with these guys. Holy fuck. Been a death metal fan for 20 years, and I get so excited to see new bands come out with this much brutality.
love this take, too much hate on young death metal these days
@@julianpawlak1472 The last 5-7 years has seen a lot of very promising young death metal emerge. From Blood Incantation. to Phrenelith, to Hyperdontia...probably the healthiest the scene has been since the early 90's.
@@BubblingSyphilisSund check out cystic, seattle Death Metal, super good stuff
I feel you to the fullest ❤
What a great set.. amazing. And it's a death metal band at a hardcore show. And everyone looked like they had a great time. Love it.
This is absolutely crazy!
It sounds like Morbid Angel, Sepultura, and Cannibal altogether
Death Metal Saviors! 🔥💀🤘
Bit of suffocation in there too
I’m also getting some Autopsy in here
You know the band is good when people start picking apart their sound like a sommelier picks apart wine notes. 😂✊🏽
Death metal got its groove back 🙌
Death metal has always had groove
The difference between hardcore kids and metalheads when it comes to moshing always makes me laugh. If the band speeds up, metalheads would start the circle pit, if the band slows down then that’s when hardcore kids start 2 steppin.
And all was right with the world
This is a take I have never heard, but is as true as anything.
\m/
I’ve never understand the wild arm swinging. I mean why? I’ve been in mosh pits many years ago and never have I seen that. I’ve seen all kinds of bands from Slayer to Deicide and everything in between and the moshing was why you went to a show. We’ve always just kinda ran around and pushed whoever was in front of us. That’s a mosh pit! Not this bullshit swinging your arms around. Kids today. Lol
@@BeastCake1349 That style of moshing from what I understand came from the NY Hardcore scene of the 90’s and 2000’s. Also Hardcore originally had a more punk sound but ever since the 2000’s it’s shifted more into a Metal influenced sound. So with that I think it just started to mix the crowds up more and more over the years. Awhile back I actually went to a Hardcore festival and it had pretty balanced mixed crowd from every scene of extreme music there.
@@xBIGGIx Cool. Thanks for your input. I’ve never been to a hardcore punk show which is why I probably never saw that style. I never was into punk. Just death metal and thrash.
Just started listening to them, sanguisugabogg and creeping death. I absolutely love the younger generation bringing that badass death metal
Just saw these guys last night in BK. The drummer was probably one of the best I've heard. So much stamina and power behind the kit. 200 Stab Wounds got the upcoming death metal scene on lock 🔥🤘
This is why I keep coming back. Classic sounding music.
This band is sick 😷 WOW! Gotta check them out in depth !!! Thank for this jem💪🏆
This is mind blowing, thank you so much! 🤘🏼🔥💀
Ezra killing that Gibson Grabber!
His tone on Slave to the Scalpel is delicious!
Best new band I have heard in a long time! Powerful live set. Every song is good.
Discovered these guys a year or so ago. Been one of my favorites ever since. \m/
Thank you for posting this! Made my recent paper reviewing a concert I went to much easier. Something about my professor, a Dr. in Musicology, watching this video and reading my paper just made me all warm and fuzzy inside.
He should be able to recognize the skill involved right?
@@commente Got a 100%. I believe they said it was "a very interesting interpretation" and that "the technical ability is truly impressive".
@@Ontheroad13 Yay for prof! It is truly impressive indeed
best band out right now, they’re just on fucking fire. im glad to have met and seen these guys play twice already 🔨
And a little bit of early suffocation. These guys rule!
Saw these dudes in atl the other night and it was one of the most fun sets ever. They’re going to be huge.
If you like this, check out other bands from Ohio like Sanguisugaboog, Mutilatred, Volcano, En Love, Slug, Body Farm, Last Gasp and Mutilation Barbecue. Ohio Hardcore on top.
Bather
Ohio hardcore on top, also Rejoice. Rejoice is so fucking good
That Mutilatred album that's about to drop..... coooo baby
also check out Snuffed On Sight 🔥
I'm seeing 200 stab Wounds, sanguisugabogg, and Cannibal Corpse next month 😊
As soon as this started I knew this wasn’t going to be the last time I’d be watching this 🔨 🔨 🔨
The mixing on this is sooooo fire
The drum sound is incredible
So fucking sick! I love how the HC scene and Death Metal scene have somewhat integrated, great time to be a fan of both.
Also does ANYONE know which snare he's playing? I seriously love how it cuts straight through everything else, need dat on my kit
someone else replied, ludwig acrolyte
@@f67739 thanks Patrick
It's 2022, not 1992. Plenty of hardcore kids love death metal and vice versa. If this band blows up will probably take the route Power Trip did. Doing hardcore tours and fests until they break into the metal circuit.
Death metal and hardcore have had a symbiotic relationship since thd early 90s. Suffocation has straight up breakdowns. Madball toured frequently with obituary and thzt likely evolved the heaviness of breakdowns within the hardcore scene
@@int0the3p1t32 goes even further back with thrash
Absolutely amazing. Perfect tone, good versatility of technical parts, solos, etc.. fucking killed it
Great shots too
Been waiting for this one! These guys fucking kill it
Seeing them tonight in Baltimore. Stoked
Have a good time? :)
Just saw them last night in Columbia South Carolina. Fuck yeah!!! These guys rule!
Saw them live.....now I can't rest till I see them again....
Such a tight band. Sound like they’ve playing together for many many years. Love this new school wave of DM!
I had never heard of these guys, but last week I saw them open for Cattle Decapitation and Dark Funeral. These guys really made an impression even with two titans of metal playing after them, and I had to check out more of their stuff after the show.
The beat change at 14:27 is so unexpected but so sick
I love meat and potatoes in the am. Crowd was sick. Show sounded amazing 🤘
This is beautiful, since I saw Frozen Soul in Milwaukee a few weeks ago this is just incredibleand seeing them for sure tomorrow with Obituary in south Florida
Just heard them on liquid xm last night, had to check them. Heavy af!!! I hear elements of all kinds of legacy metal bands. very cool sound.
F**kin' hell - the sound on this is incredible! 200 Stab Wounds are awesome! 🤘
Used to buy weed from Steve, the singer/guitar player back in the day. Jammed a few times as well. Dude is constantly smoking weed lmao.
I got to smoke weed w these guys. Love them. Always killer
SINCERELY....metal AF.
LOVE these guys .
Very Raw ...early Sabbath feel . More RAW the better .
Im old school and I love these guys. Their like Dehumanized and Gorgasm had a baby.
this is my favorite live video of theirs now, so fucking good.
jesus christ this sounds so good, this band is so fucking cool
Omg I love Jesus too! ❤ He'll save you from all the bad things you've ever done. And the future too! Just do whatever you want, then pray. Rinse. Repeat. 🥰

So I'm a metalhead but a lot of us hang around the HC/punk scene too, its always a great time when we all get together and have a blast. We can all get in the pit and let out our stress. And then at the end of the show, we all go for some pizza or a burger. Its a community bond thats hard to break 🤘🤘🤘
Y’all gotta sub to Sunny’s patreon to get that juicy drum cam
Fucking love this page, such amazing quality even for bands with like 500 Spotify listeners.
The beginning of Tow Rope Around the Throat goes so hard live, god damn
First time hearing these dudes. I love it! Thanks for the upload
Also the crack in that snare is sick
Same. Lately I've been hearing lots of bands that I like either taking them out on tour or shouting them out as a band to look out for. Now I get why, super talented.
Saw them with cattle decapitation last night in chicago. It was awesome. These drummers are insane.
Amazing band .. Riff are so good \m/ ..headbanging entire video..
Can’t wait to see the dudes live next month!
meat and potatoes with a bit of hardcore. Incredible death metal, just on point. Great riffs too
Sound great. Love the drum.
I l love anytime the word "death" features in a song, he never fails to say it like Tom Araya shouts "Death" in Angel of Death.
I don’t think it’s physically possible to do it any other way. Hail Araya!
11:31 T W E R K 🤬
never heard this band before but this set is fucking good ,listening and smoking weed , high as a kite right now
ezra's taste in basses is exquisite *chefs kiss*.
I'm sure one day they will become a giant monster of death metal band like Dying Fetus
Man they dropped a single recently and I think we’re gonna get a new album soon. If it’s anything like the single the album is gonna be killer!
This, Sanguisugabogg and BodyBox are awesome!
no time was wasted ripping through this set,
I think these boys will be huge! Excellent!
Can. Not. Wait. To see these guys at Wrecking Ball in Dallas 🤘🏼🤘🏼
you had me at "we're 200 stab wounds thanks for comin out - fuck yea" simply cuz he said it like he was at a business meeting
fantastic video of a fantastic band! thank you
These guys are gonna blow up🤘🏻
This channel has turned me on to Gulch and now this. Awesome!
They sound great live!
You can tell the DM kids in the front are not fuckin with the hardcore dancing. It's always weird to see hc dancing in metal pits but still, glad everyone is having a good time cause this band is so dope.
I mean this is at a hardcore fest, Day 3 was death metal bands tho
@@dimebagdio4204 yeah I figured that was the case. Glad the core kids are down with the death metal acts. Just funny to see the 2 stepping.
I recently went to a local death metal touring show, and it was a great mix of metal heads and core kids, the pit was half hardcore mosh half slam pit, no fights, it was rad
“Hardcore dancing” lol
