I’ve added a Hall effect RPM meter to read the speed of my mini mill. I preferred mounting the sensor and magnet at the top of my spindle rather than underneath so chips don’t accumulate on the magnet. I can still access the drawbar. The magnet and sensor brackets are green G10 and brown Micarta, held in place with epoxy and double face tape.
