It was filmed in Ukraine. The cast is from Russia and Ukraine. Russians and Ukrainians have many similarities but still very different. Ukrainians try to copy so much from the West (I noticed the twin towers similar to the NYC and the emergency vehicle has the word "ambulance" written IN ENGLISH). You will never see this kind of stuff in Russian movies filmed in Russia. It's just odd.

Jacqueline, what is it in the Russian movies that you particularly like? I am Russian but I could not believe how many foreigners like to watch Russian/Ukrainian movies. The two countries do not get along but this hostility has no effect on the movie industry. This film was filmed in Ukraine but the leading actors and actresses are from Russia. Just curious why you watched this movie.
Dimas sociopathic behaviour wasboverlooked tolerated or encouraged by everyone. If they had stopped him the first time, when he tried to cheat, when he sold the video, when he wouldn't pay loans..f his friends didn't help him out at those times his child wouldn't have been hurt
