I agree Peni's Ult gets you killed if you stand still at all, and that can come from being body blocked or even CC'd. But if the devs don't want to make her immune to CC effects while in the Ult, a change to how her Ult works would be appreciated. Making her bulldozer like effect of the 4 spider arms be automatic with her coming in contact with an enemy would be the minimum buff she needs, leaving your piloting skills the main factor in your Ult being a clutch or kick moment. Alternatively, making her able to climb while in the Ult would be just as good a minimum buff as she could go over groot walls and have another way of dodging body blocking, maybe even accumulate mines up there for the room you're trying to claim territory of. Alternatively, making her web stays for a couple seconds after her Ult ends instead of getting rid of it and all mines you just accumulated while giving your enemy team time to kill your Peni when she's still stuck in animation despite the web vanishing would be appreciated. could be 3 seconds, could be 5 or at most 7. ANY amount of time would be appreciated in order to use the web beyond naruto running away after setting the mines.

I've always pushed with peni on that side of the map and usually get a good flank in, it never occurred to me to play defensively there too. I usually put my nest behind the tree on the corner or (more recently) behind the van INSIDE the little destroyed house. Side note the fact that you can contest while having your nest behind the poster board thing and just stand there is kinda nutty. I've gotta learn to integrate moving to higher elevation since I always use web to escape and not move up and play aggressive like you do. Consider this video a success since I've already learned a lot!
Between this and a game I had last night where I had to try something new cause nothing else was working, I'm learning how Peni is surprisingly good at flanking, less because of any ability to get quick kills but more because by coming in behind them you sandwich the enemy between you and your team meaning if they want to back up they do so into your territory, or you could set up a bit to the side so you're not fighting directly but still limiting movement and diverting attention.
Im glad im not the only one dealing with the buggy (no pun intended) F web move. Theres so many instances where i just teleport or the move straight up doesnt work, and its so annoying.
I don't normally place my nest in there. I usually put my nest on the other side of the wall, in that little garden corner. Only real way to destroy it is from either the Health Pack, which I cover in mines or up top. You can easily destroy your nest if you go up from the right spawn door, you can just shoot the nest & mines from the top of the stairs.

Great synergy on this map would be groot. Place your nest on your side of the bell tower and have groot block the right side spawn door nearest to the bell tower. Now you have control over two chokes: the bell tower door and the convoy road.
Hot take : Peni ult is underrated. Reasons : 1. We all know the mines from the LShift will travel to anyone standing in connected webs. It takes about 7 to kill someone like Luna without getting healed. 2. We know that the proximity mines from E, well, explodes when an enemy is in proximity. They do much more damage than the traveling mines from LShift only needing about 3 to kill Luna. So the things Peni ult does is provides connecting webs when traveling, allows you to knock people up with left click or running into them, and allows you to deploy your proximity mines while running. I personally have been using it wrong and as more of a panic button for health but after watching this video i occurred to me to have a setup like CringeAlarm has here and when people are running past, ult to connect my LShift webs and run it through the enemy team. When i knock up a squishy target or an important person to kill, Right click to put proximity mines where they will be landing. You will see the first person you run webs into explode from the build up mines via LShift and at least one other person explode from Right click mines after a knock up. Obviously it sucks when cc ruins your highlight play but this is probably the intended design for the ult and probably yields more consistent results. Just a hot take though.
the peni ult thing is so sad , the ult is nowhere near strong enough for it to have such a strong weakness as being able to be cced in the middle of it , feels like there are ults that are way stronger which also get cc immunity for free

The only reason he defended that room so long was because his reaction time to the sound of mines detonating was insanely fast, especially when the cart pushed alongside the defender entrance doorway
Why do you web the ground first then place your bombs? Why not just place the bombs around less out of sight and keep your web in case somebody walk up on you
I tried playing like this guy, and it almost never works, because we either don't have the main tank, or the main tank doesn't do what tanks do: stop opponent from taking space. But when it works, oh boy.
Strange, iron man, magneto, groot, wanda, psyloke, BP, spiderman, and probably others can be stoped by her cc, and her mines can kill trough support ults. @@Tokyodamii
@@Tokyodamii Her right click can counter a ton of ults, Scarlet Witch, Spiderman, hell even another Peni's ult (if you web them right at the start of their ult it cancels it and puts them at 50% ult charge), just to name a few.
Btw Please tell me how to advance and push with Peni, i often struggle with that, i can play defensesive even whilst mobile but i cant advance and often have to change hero pls😭😭

For defence, it's definitely better to hide in corners. I rather not give the enemy team free ult since peni is so big with nothing really protecting her accept for buildings and wall. If you want you can play back with your team and setup mines for flankers.

Peni is bad at frontlining because she has no damage mitigation button and no seasonal HP bonus. Her dmg is longer range (primary fire + mine throw) so you don’t want to be right in the enemy tank’s faces where they can walk over you with better damage mitigation
I am nowhere near as good, but by playing in those doorways that they have to walk past, you can become a huge distraction and cause the enemy to turn their backs to your team to deal with you. Their choices are: come in and get melted by mines, try to kill you thru the door while you hide behind a wall, or they blow an ult just to flush you out.

To add on to the mobility during ult, they could also allow her to use her web swing

when my nest starts to get focused i tend to despawn it so i don't have to wait 12 seconds lol
You still get the CD depending on how low health your nest before you despawn. 5-12 seconds

the way to play peni in high elo is too take small rooms and camp them because they can just swing wide on your spider nest and destroy them

Yeah, susan is lowkey a penny check. Her shift ability alone lets her passively destroy your set-up without having to put herself in danger

Peni is not a pushing character more of a defender

I’m not a pro but try off angles. Use your grapple to contest high ground and poke/set up and annoy from there so your team has an easy time advancing

Because webs don't secure points and they can't survive on the objective anyway. Controlling the flank is better than controlling nothing
