Ever use pop rivets? I couln't get myself to weld on my MB 550s so I tried pop rivets. I only use them on exposed cat sets so I don't have to worry about coyotes chewing on it. Two rivets and I could twist and pull all I wanted and the expanded pan stayed solid on on the stock pan. Just another option for those who might want to expanded pans part of the season, and stock pans for the other part of the season. (I like the expanded pan for exposed cats, and stock for burried coyotes). When you want the pan off, just drill out the rivet. Also good option for those who don't have the equipment or skill for welding. (but can you even consider yourself a trapper without welding equipment or skill haha)
I've made my own expanded pans , was easier removing the pan from the trap once centered into place , quick couple of tack welds then remove and finish the job , little extra work but made life easier without moving the whole trap all the time .
Excellent trap , why did you take off the two springs ? Degraded the trap ?
Can you do this for k9 extreme jr.
