I used to work at Harvard in a professional position. The school is filled with children of elite, wealthy people.
There are family expectations for educational -- and subsequent professional and financial success -- of those students. They are to get their prestigious degree and make an acceptable (to their parents, relatives, social circle) romantic match.
They are linked by bloodlines and social status to other families with high social status. It may be that there are a FEW males who might date Jazz out of curiosity. l But they darn sure won't bring such a person to meet the parents.
Jazz is doomed to dreaming and longing, for she doesn't have the social status necessary to make a marriage to a sought-after Harvard man. So sad.

Damn. I've been following Jazz since the beginning, and honestly it is at the point where the show needs to just end, the mom needs to lay the fuck off and let Jazz figure shit out on her own. For me, yeah I had a few years where I just didn't leave the house because of anxiety, but I woke up one day and was like "I hate my life. Let's fix it." Got a job, started slowly immersing myself in social situations, and started my transition. A year and a half later, I am significantly more happy, have some solid friends, am applying to an assistant manager position, have a good relationship with all of my coworkers, and regularly get invited to go do things. Currently trying to return to college after a 5 year hiatus. Still have heavy anxiety sometimes, like this morning a friend had to call me and encourage me to go to this work party, but I ended up going and having a lot of fun. Dating is weird af for trans people regardless of how well we pass or what surgeries we have or haven't had, it is something I barely touch because I just don't have interest and I do gotta be safe about it.
My hope with the show was that it would end after the bottom surgery so Jazz could just fade into obscurity and go some from of stealth, but I guess greed got in the way :/

She was beautiful once, when she had hope that happiness was just a little further down on the trans path. Now she is years down the trans path, way past the point of no return, and things are not hopeful at all. She is not as attractive as she used to be, not because of her size but because she is clearly not as comfortable with herself as she used to be. Now the only hope left is “if I find that special partner to build a connection with”. Sadly things don’t work that way in life. If you are broken inside, you are the only person who can make you whole again. The perfect partner who will give you that perfect connection and perfect supportive experience does not exist.

@@144Venusianluv Yeah I was surprised too. I started at 17 but I noticed that when I took oral hormones is when I became overweight. People need to avoid oral hrt or birth control because the metabolites increase risk of cancer, weight gain, and blood clots.
I'm on pellets now because I had the operation so I don't produce hormones on my own. The pellets are bio identical and healthier. I have weight but it's healthy weight like on my face, my ass, my thighs, my arms, but not my stomach.
I want to ask Jazz so bad because trans healthcare in America sucks. Maybe I am just reading too much into it and she is just stressed from the fame.
The same applies to cis women too finding a good provider than understands female hormones is so difficult. If the world becomes less ignorant on trans medicine we all get to progress.

Ummm...there are issues here. The weight gain? I believe hormones can cause this. I would worry about future breast cancer. I had a friend who took hormones because of infertility. She developed breast cancer and died in 2014. These hormones are super dangerous and taking too many of them to "change" your biological sex can be detrimental in the future.

That's what the doctors who are commenting on this case are saying. Mother nature gave Jazz the proper hormonal balance that went with that nature-born MALE body. He has been tampered with. All sorts of nightmares can occur. There are de-transitioners testifying here on YT about their own nightmares and subsequent need to get off the hormones to stay alive and disease-free.
