'Would' requires additional information for it expresses the 'Imperfect Preterite' when actions in the past (routines, regular habits) are seen as not completed/finished vs the 'Past Simple'. I would play football with my friends every day after school when I was a child. I played football with my friends last weekend.
I used to listen to bbc learning English regularly in the past and I would use the thing that I used to learn in writing somthing in my diary just to make sure that I was doing good with my English studies. However, I dont have much time now.
Oo great job guys, thank you so much, but, i have a lack of grasp, so, used to is used to express states and situations happened constantly in the past, so, why don't we use "would" in this line, that goes " i used to get the bus to work" this sentence means situation or activity? I think it's 1000% activity, why why used to . Please respond me soon.
last year I used to walk around and one day I spotted finn and said to myself, "wow he's hot!" So everyday for a while after, I would see him on the street on our ways to work. Then one day, I asked him if he'd like to get married. He said yes. After that we would spend our weekends traveling and being in love. We continue to be happy and content in our married life.
From your explanation understood it's necessary to use the negative of Would in questions. Is it correct to assume that we shouldn't use Would in questions (in the positive) when referring to repeated actions in the past?
I used to have a playstation game console, but it was already gone. I have an Xbox now. When I was a kid, I used to go walking to school. But, I would ask my mum to accompany me if I was too lazy to walk. I used to hang out with my friends when I was in high school. And we would play futsal together every Saturday night.
I have a question about this subject. Don't we use "would" in the positive question sentences? Only in the negative question sentences? If you should reply me, i will be happy!
We can use 'would' in either positive or negative questions - "Would you like to join us?" or "Wouldn't you like to join us?" However, in this example we use 'would' to talk about past habits. OK, merry Christmas!
Dear BBC, I like to appreciate your effort . your program is interesting . I like to report you a problem happened several times to me on your channel here. I have a personal archive of all your video clips . I watch and download all your video clips from 11 years ago till now regularly by number. every time you put a new video clip on your channel I watch it and add it to my personal archive. some times my total videos numbers on my archive is not equal with your channel . so I found you added a new video clip not in queue on your channel. I mean you add it between your other old clips. for example this video clip " Used To & Would - 6 Minute Grammar" is not added on 21 Dec 2019 . I don't know the exact time but it is added recently. may you ask yourself how I found it? I always review and count my personal BBC archive and your channel . while they are not equal.I found you add a new between your old one. I report this because this makes some problem for me and other channel members who watch your videos regularly, we lose this video you added irregularly. Regards Ali

Quite difficult. If there were a slide at the end of the video, that would be great for your audience to recap.
BBC, if we use would with an infinitive without to then what is verb in 'I would sleep on the floor' as shown in the video
I used to play video game with my friends when i was 7 years old
I would run fast everyday when i was at high school
I used to have a playstation game console, but it was already gone. I have an Xbox now.
When I was a kid, I used to go walking to school. But, I would ask my mum to accompany me if I was too lazy to walk.

Yes, I used to sleepwalk in my childhood.

@@bbclearningenglish Thanks but i got muddled. Doesn't "would you like" mean "do you want" ? Merry Christmas!
Someone can explain please, when we can use the "would" give me a example
You can use it like:
Would you like anything?
Would you eat the apple?
Someone call Mr. Dan to explain this subject because I haven’t understood yet, no one can illustrate easer than him😔
❤️
I used to cook my meal own, but at some i would like to eat at restraunt.

USED TO
Nowadays I walk over things I used to trip over
WOULD
Life would be tragic if it weren't funny
What the difference between:
1. I used to play football every day.
2. I would play football every day.
Thanks in advance
They are basically the same. However, "used to" may refer to an action which was more frequent than "would". Hope this helps
@@joblinguasm3272 Thanks.
Is it correct if i say
It would be so funny?
Hello sir I am from Nepal.I have a one question for you.can you speak English or not?Is it correct?
I used to Facebook but when I'll be successful then I'd take it
Sorry but about the quiz, the second question. Why is the sentence wrong? Why cant i say: "S. would have blond hair....."
Because we can't use would with stave verb
I wouldnt stay idol all the time in home, i would like to workas a volunteer.
