I have really enjoyed your videos this week. I can't wait to get the book so I can use a lot of the gorgeous fabrics that I have been holding onto. You are so inspiring! Please, do pair these makes with your closet. Thank you Kennis for designing these simple, yet elegant patterns and thank you Whitney for your wonderful ideas and inspiration! I can't wait to get the book!
So cute! My Mom lives 4 1/2 hours away, and every time we get together it is uncanny how we have similar styles and pieces!! 😁 How neat that your Mom wore a similar top to your Palermo!
Firstly, I must say once again (I know I am a broken record, LOL!) how much I love your hair that way, and with the bangs swooped over so we can see your beautiful eyes!! :+) I am sure your mother must tell you this, as well. What a great peasant top and dress pattern!! I already have fabric for it here-awaiting the arrival of the book in December!! They both looked great, and fit well. Beautiful fabric choices! I'm envisioning all types of scenarios regarding the wearing of these two items!! What a fun Christmas, New Years, Valentines. Mothers Day and Easter tops and/or dresses you could make with these-if you wanted a themed garment-or not-just an all round wonderful pattern for any time any place!! Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter-this is a "go to" pattern, I feel!! Love it!! It would be interesting to see your wardrobe pieces mixed and matched if you have the inclination to do so-fun to view!! Thank you for sharing, and have a great week!! :+)
Whitney, I think it would be very interesting to see how you mix and match pieces together with your existing self sewn wardrobe. I always make things and then wonder what it will go with so this year I’ve been trying to think in the future before I make something
The Palermo top with your green skirt from yesterday!! Funny I have the same fabric that you made your top out of but with the off white background. Had they had the mustard background I would have bought that too! lol Your fall / winter wardrobe is going to be HUGE!
Love this pattern. The blouse is gorgeous! I love the “peasant” look. It would go with jeans, skirts and a nice trouser. I love Itch to Stitch patterns and have made many of them. I am similar build to you (although a smidge taller) and love that I usually don’t have to do a FBA either. I preordered the book the day it was announced. I would definitely love to see these pieces mixed with your wardrobe. ❤️
Yes Please, love to see you mix and match garments from your modules. That give us great ideas, on options of what to make. I ordered the book, can't wait for it to come in!😍
That is a very pretty blouse and dress that you made the fabric is gorgeous I hope when I look I can find that same fabric that you made the blouse with or something close to it. Take care have a good day. They were both very pretty on you.
This pattern is just lovely, so flattering and your choice of fabrics just took it to the next level. Whitney, you mentioned you had your color palette done. How did you have that done?
Yes, it was Christie Ressel. I had mine done by her too and she nailed it. It makes it so easy to shop for fabric and the things you make end up mostly going together! Here is the link to her site. www.fashiontranslated.com/
Yep! Christie Ressel did my colors. It was a game changer. If she doesn’t have spots, put your name on the waiting list and she’ll send out an email when she opens more up.
Really cute top and dress! I love the neckline - was there any adjustment needed in the length of elastic, or did you need to place "stops" to keep the neckline smooth? I can see me with a "scootched up" circle :) What will you wear for Thanksgiving this year?!
Thank you! I made no adjustments to the elastic, though it would be easy to do. You create a channel be then thread the elastic through (the ends get top stitched in place at the end). As far as Thanksgiving, I was just thinking about that! I’m not sure what I’m going to wear just yet!
I would say it depends on your feelings of pdf (or digital) patterns vs. paper patterns that you have to trace. I really don’t like tracing, so I usually go the digital route, but I know not everyone feels that way!
7 out of 8🤪 now I just need to find fabric suitable (at Walmart 😂😂😂, which means nondescript polyester of some sort, ugly color and gaudy pattern..only one on the rack...thing) but at least I might be able to call it a tester make.
Yes I would vote for a new video of these patterns with your previous wardrobe makes :)
Sure!
I am an inthusiastic beginner and love seeing how self made garments can fit into a wardrobe or style. So no complaints about seeing your closet here!
Sure! I can definitely do that!
Never tired of seeing your closet! And love watching you style things together. I vote yes. 😊
Ok! 😉
Yes I would love to see all these Sew Beautiful pieces mixed and matched with some of your wardrobe!

Hi! I think Whitney used Christine Riessel.(sp?) She put a link for Christine on the video where she talks about it. 🙂

I’m really loving all of these patterns! Would you recommend the paperback book or the eBook version? Thank you!
I would say it depends on your feelings of pdf (or digital) patterns vs. paper patterns that you have to trace. I really don’t like tracing, so I usually go the digital route, but I know not everyone feels that way!
You look great! I love this top and especially the fabric. I almost purchased this material. Now, I need to see if it's still available.
Thank you!
May I ask what are the fabric requirements for the blouse and dress?? Just checking my stash, and wondered if I had enough to make both!!
Thank you.
It looks like 1.5-2 yards for the top (depending on size) and 2.5-3.25 for the dress.
@@TomKatStitchery Thank you!! Sounds good!
I love that fabric. I found it at Fabric.com and had it in my cart FOREVER, and talked myself out of buying it. Wish I hadn't...
That’s good to know that it’s available on fabric.com. It really is a lovely rayon!

Cute top. How does it look untucked? Is it roomy?
It is roomy, but it still has shape. I should have shown it untucked as well!

I have seen enough wardrobe matches for now 😸
Ok! Thank you for chiming in!

❤️❤️❤️
Would be nice to see you actually sew the items that you make.
I do sew along videos on Sundays where I show all my sewing on a specific pattern. I’m in the middle of a jeans one at the moment!
