Great to consider how the inks work with the paper. With 16 new colors, most of us will have to collect them SLOWLY, so this helps with prioritizing. I'm with you-mauve takes me too much back to the 80's!
Excellent video! I love the way you made the comparisons with inks AND papers. ...and I love the mauve! I love vintage and florals so it is perfect for both.
Loved how you discussed trying the older inks. I still have almost every ink I have purchased from both Stampin Up and CTMH (a couple no longer work). I often can find matches somewhere in my collection. Thanks for sharing this.
Several years ago I started trying to match old cardstock colors with new DSP to save on having to purchase too many more inks and cardstock. Sometimes I can and when I can't and really love the color, then I'll buy it. Thanks for sharing. The idea of matching the ink was very interesting and definitely worth trying!
A very helpful video to see the ink and cardstock colors compared without having to buy all of them ourselves. Now, I have some new favorites to buy like Lemon Lolly!
Blueberry Bushel was an In-Color from 2018-2020 - that's just a few years ago - some of the other colors they brought back are older - Berry Burst was 2017-2019, Lost Lagoon was really old - :) Love the video and the way you showed the inks - they don't always match the paper, which can be frustrating. Thanks for the fresh approach.
Oh, Linda, I forgot to add that it was SUCH FUN to see some of “the oldies from your stash of ‘keepers’, too”!!! COLUZZLE!! OH, MY! :-)))) Totally fun! More SMILES from Madison, WI! :-)))))))
This is such an awesome video - thank you! I think I'm on an island by myself with Wild Wheat. I like it! I doubt I'd use it as a main colour for a card, but I think it will be a great colour to mat around another one, more of a highlight colour.
I have every ink pad and refill from my early SU days! I still use them in various ways. I have to say that I’m not happy at all with the revision. It will take me a while to adjust. This was very informative!
This is an EXCELLENT video!!! Thank you so much for putting so much time in to this, VERY well done & different from any other color comparison video I’ve seen thus far!! I shared with the SU group I’m in I loved it so much!
Hello Linda!! WOWEE! WHAT A TERRIFIC POST! SO, SO HELPFUL!! :-))))))). I REALLY liked that you shared the cardstock n’ ink w/the new colors! AMAZING how the cs was “often yuck” while there were quite a number of inks that “could work fairly well”!! :-)))) I did think there was ONE color in the Mauve comparisons that “possibly could work IF STAMPED OFF ONCE~~see what you think!! (Can’t remember which one it was but I know youi’d be able to consider!!). I SO APPRECIATE the time and effort you took to pull this GREAT VIDEO together!! I must admit when I first saw the colors I felt there were other “oldies” that were ALMOST EXACT and yet when YOU DID THE COMPARISON~~oh, how off I was!! Haha!! THANKS OODLES for your time and for the post! HAPPY CREATIN’ w/the “new goodies”!!! Look forward to your creations! Sending SMILES from Madison, WI! :-))))))))))). HAPPY EASTER to you n’ yours, too! :-)))))

Linda, this was EXTREMELY helpful!!! I know it was a lot of work, but us SU veterans truly appreciate it!! ❤

Glad it was useful! So many colors we can get by and make due:)
Great video! Tyfs.
Thanks for this comparison, Linda. You are right that you really do need to test the ink colors and not just the cardstock! I was surprised!

Very helpful.
Thank you! Much appreciated. Very helpful!
Thank you so very much!! Great information!!!
Thank you Linda. This is so incredibly helpful!
Appreciate your honesty ! Great comparisons ! I used to donate my old ink pads but now I think I’m going to start keeping them all!
I wish I had saved all mine now!
Extremely helpful. Thank you
I will buy them all but this is actually fantastic information. Great job!
Thank you for the ink comparisons! I completely agree with you on the mauve. I do not like the wild wheat either. Hopefully they’ll grow on us.
Thank you. This was a great comparison.

I wasn’t a fan of the summer star fruit either, like baby food or something lol! But some artsy stamper will show me something fab with it I’m sure !
Very helpful video!

Aw thx! I really appreciate the awesome comment!
very helpful. thank you.
So helpful! Thank you!
I am very happy with this video. I can't always afford everything but I will get the paper but not always the inks.
good job.
You are so nice to comment - I wondered if my video would be helpful!
Hi Linda, Great to see the paper compared to the ink. Need to think about which ones to order. Very helpful video.

So helpful...I have all of the "old" colors. Thank you! Who knew about Mauve?!
I was a little hard on poor Mauve! It is a nice color
Yes, it really is!
Wow!
I've been searching for a color chart comparison or a swatch book and there is nothing that is up to date
@@bekkicampise7296 do you need a color chart for the current 60 colors ?
Barely banana, might look good with the lemon lolly. That’s an way way old color from years ago.
It might! I wish I still had that one. Lemon Lolly is a very cool temp color- I think banana was warm but I’d love to see it !
Nope… I saw on another channel someone compare Barely Banana and Lemon Lolly and they don’t even come close…they were WAY OFF!
@@patriciahunter1566 oh good! we can cross that one off!
No to mauve! Didn’t like it in the 80’s and don’t think I can do mauve
