- Update on the 2013-2014 Honda Accord Interior led installation.
Before I was using T10 20SMD led. Now I'm using 24 led panel for the interior light.
The video does a poor job at showing you exactly how bright these lights are. They are much brighter in person than what is shown on this video at the end.

ordered this exact one a couple days ago for $5 and im glad to see a video of it. the stock lights are too dull in nissan frontier so i ordered this for the back and two led bulbs for the front map lights.

I had mine melt into the terminal completely.
So did the 24-SMD panel melt your dome light cover? After bench testing that LED for 2 min, it reached 230 degrees F, plastic melts at that temp and the longer it is turned on the hotter it gets. So if you just open the doors and get in and it goes out, no problems but what if you left the map light on for say 10 min.? Will it melt the lamp cover? Just not sure about putting this in my 2017 Accord. Thanks.
I don't know. I have not tested how hot these gets.. I don't leave them on for a long period of time.

The original ones you replaced look so good. Was there a brighter difference from the bulbs to your original LED? The ones you are putting in now seem so bright

I think I've seen some at autozone. It would be much cheaper to buy them online though.. such as amazon.

The US model does not come with the light for the interior doors. I have no light to change. However, there is a cutout for the lens and there is a hole behind that to add the t10 connector. I purchased the lens cover for a TL (that will fit) and going to add in my own light. In order to do so, I have to remove the whole door assembly to wire the light into the cabin. DIY mod will be uploaded once I have time to do it.
But, if your car comes with the door lights.. very easy to remove.. just pry from the bottom up and change out the t10 bulb. It is the same bulb as the rest of the interior.

Does a 5050 24 led panel fit for the map lights and how do you avoid blowing the fuse? Been watching your videos and they are great, thanks a lot!
Yes, I test fit the 24 5050 chip smd today and they fit without any cutting. To not blow the fuse.. don't use anything metal to take off the lens or the bulbs. Make sure the wires are not cross. In fact, It is a good idea to disconnect the negative battery post or disconnect the fuse prior to installing the leds.

nice video, have you thought about changing your headlamps for the HID lights? i know your car is CVT and the V6 has different headlamps? you are doing a fine job of improving your car... im still making a decision what color to buy... white, red, or silver... lol...i like the white, but i dont like so much the double tone interior, but i guess thats not a big problem...
I have installed HID lights. Check out my youtube channel or just google "Accord HID" and you will see my youtube video. The difference between the i4 and v6 headlight is the DRL. The v6 comes with the led drl lights. Other than that they are the exact same headlight assembly.
I would have purchased the white one if it did not have dual tone interior. I had the dealer pull the 2 cars next to each other and I stared at it the white and this modern steel metallic one for good 30min. Decided to get this one because the dual interior just didn't look right.
i agree about the dual interior, but my thought was to either have it professionally dyed black, or to dye the white red and matching headrests red or black... my lease is up next month on my current silver 09 coupe, and personally like the silver but yet getting tired of it at the same time... maybe i will do what you did and put a couple cars together and start staring.. lol.... what do you think of the Blue? im trying to like it, but it looks like Supermans car... lol

I thought about getting the blue one. I always like the blue color on the civic si. If I leased the accord, I might have considered it but since I purchased the car instead, I wanted more of a standard subtle color.
I'm happy with the color I picked but I would seriously considering trading it in if they released a white one with all black interior.

That is weird. I do have a US model. Just bought it. It's the 2014 Honda Accord Coupe V6. Maybe the V6 has it...or the 2014 V6 has it? Anyway, thanks for the tip! I tried prying from the top down, but it just wouldn't pop off. I'll try from the bottom up later this today. I'm guessing that's the only way I can take off the light cover? Please advise.

what's the difference between the 6k and the 5k color? you mentioned that you liked 5k better in the video.
Donquixote 6k is white with blue tint.. 5k is pure white.
4300-5000k is perfect
is one brighter than the other?
ive seen led and hid in both colors. i cannot tell a difference in light output. both are good colors. anything more is tacky
where did you get the 5k led. i got mine white with tint blue.
Where do you normally buy your LEDS from? Having a hard time on Ebay and Amazon because I can't find all of these within the same brand and don't want the colors to be mismatched. I want to do the SMD 12 Map Lights, SMD 24 for the Dome, the T10 license plate leds all in White or Cool White for my 2016 Accord Sport Sedan.. Can you refer me to any links?
exLED has a really nice kit but also $100, trying to keep it under $50.
He's actually running 24SMD on map and dome (if you wanted to mimic his setup). Keep in mind running the panels in the map lights are going to be really bright. Personally, I think the generic t10 LED bulbs are sufficient for the map lights. Search eBay for "24SMD panel" or "12SMD panel." Any seller will do, just make sure they're 3020, 3528, or 5050.
Oops. I think he's actually running the exLED Map Lights now which are 12 SMD.

My interior lights stopped working after I plugged in the LEDs.. What should I do?
Your interior light fuse is blown. The interior light fuse is located under the hood. Pop you hood open and look for a long black next to the air intake.

Interior light fuse is located on the slot #20 7.5A. There will be the white fuse puller and spare fuses behind the cover.

replace the fuse with the same 7.5A fuse and your good to go.

Depends on the model you have. But for i4.. Yes. 2 map 1 dome are the main lights. there are the 4 vanity light and 1 trunk as well. V6 has 2 extra door lights.

Yes, but make sure you purchase the correct T10 20SMD bulb. Not all t10 20 smd is the same. Some are longer which will not fit.

Have the dome light switch in the middle position (between on and off position).
That doesn't do anything lols,it only turns on the dome light.
Oh I'm sorry. I misread ur question. I thought u wanted the dome light to do it. Oops.
Simple mod. I can make a video of how to do it tomorrow on my Honda Fit tomorrow. It will be exactly the same for the Accord. Basically.. you have to take down the map light housing and the center dome light to gain access to the wire harness that powers the lights. You will notice on the map light plug that there are 3 slots.. with 2 slots already wired up and the 3rd slot empty. You take a 18 or 20 or 22 awg wire and shove it in the empty slot... route the wire to the dome light assembly through the roof liner with a coat hanger.. The center dome light will have a pink wire. You tap that wire and your done.

how did you mod the two front smd panels to fit?
I'm using all 24 smd panel for both the map and dome light. In order to fit the 24 smd panel in the map light you need to trim the edges around the whole led panel. I used a dremel tool to do this. I will make a video of it tomorrow.

i pulled out the t10 in the dome light and the wire on the bulb got stuck in the connector and now the interior lights wont turn on. On the dashboard it says check charging system. How can i fix that?
+Junior Chavez The interior light fuse is blown. Make sure there is no wires stuck on the connection and replace your interior light fuse. +Junior Chavez If your lights are out.. the interior fuse is NOT good. check the video I linked and change it out. Replacing it with the same bulb will not make the lights magically turn back on.
+Junior Chavez Let me make sure I understand you correctly.. ALL the interior light is out correct.. not just the ONE light that the wire was stuck? It is is just the one light.. then yes.. changing that one bulb will work. However, if all your interior lights are out. then your fuse is blown and needs to be replaced.

When i installed it, it kept blowing the stock fuse and had to go to a higher fuse to handle the load.
+Jay Khan I HIGHLY suggest you go back to the stock Fuse Amp. Increase the fuse amp can lead to FIRE. The wires are not rated to handle more load. When changing to LED it puts less load on the fuse. If you have to change to a higher fuse.. A) there is a short B) you need to return the product and buy better product. I have installed 100's of leds on multiple vehicles and NEVER had to bump up the fuse. That is asking for trouble.
very much doubt it will cause a fire one a 20amp fuse from a 10amp. Plus dome light stays on for a short time. I've had it for two months and feel safe.
somewhere around my dome light starts rattling after I did the swap. does this happen to anyone else?

These LED lights burn a sensor in my 2015 Honda Accord Sport. I had to pay $380 to get sensor replace. It said low charge system on display. 😨
What sensor.. There is no sensor. You mean the battery sensor that there is a recall on? There are fuses .. which light? Low Charge message on the gauge just means that the battery is low. Sounds to me.. you have been take advantage of by the stealership. All it needed was a battery boost and a drive around the neighborhood for the alternator to charge the battery. It also could have been a faulty battery cell. very common on the 2013 - 2017 accord.
never buy cheaply made led panel that have adaptor they will snap quickly, it burnt couple fuses and my unlock lock button disabled also trunk light came on and the radio was acting weird the bulbs are OK but the panels ohh please be careful thanks God the fuses have been replaced for free and now everything is normal

My experience is a little bit same and also different. Have i popped a fuse while installing the led panel.. YES. Have i popped a fuse while installing regular led bulb.. YES. Have I experienced the wires coming off the board due to manufacture poor soldering work.. YES. Have I experienced wires coming off because I tugged on the wires a little too much and put stress on the wires trying to tuck them away behind the lens housing.. YES. Has the 2 connector pins from the led board and the connector break because I try to bend them slightly to push them behind the housing. YES.
Did I find out what caused the fuse to pop.. YES (electric short) Did I find out what caused the short.. (YES,I used a metal object while prying/installing the led and or a bare wire or ground came in contact with the positive post) Was I able to resolder the loose connector and make it work again (YES, but the cost of led is so cheap I would just buy another if I didn't have a soldering iron but I like to fix things so I fixed it while shaking my head at the "beautiful" craftsmanship of the solder joints done by those low paid workers that have put these together) Was this issue consistent.. (NO, every now and then I had 1 led board that I needed to fix the solder joint but overall everything was fine)
Was it difficult to determine which fuse popped and the location of the fuse. ( No, I just looked at the wiring schematics or the fuse panel for most and figured out the fuses ) Did I make a video on how to replace these fuses so it will be helpful to other ( YES. There are videos in my RUclips channel that shows viewers how to replace these fuses) Do I mention on various DIY videos when working with anything electrical, especially led, to use plastic pry tools and not use anything metal when prying inserting or installing.. ( Yes. Although it's common sense to make sure the vehicle is off and so all current is not flowing through the circuit they are working on and know that by using a metal object that can carry current it can potential cause a short I do mention it on the videos to remind them)
Should I disconnect either the negative battery post or the fuse for the lights before working ( Yes. That is the "correct" way. However, if you have the experience and be very careful that can be skipped, especially if all you're doing is swapping out lights) Have I ever popped a a fuse recently while installing led ( No because I inspect the leds for loose connections, exposed wires and I make sure when installing the boards the board does not come in contact with any of the metal contacts in the light housing. Sometimes it is necessary to place electrical tape over the areas that might come in contact with the led board. Only the led adapter cable should come in contact with the metal connectors)
