I thought the Martian Manhunter thing didn’t make sense until I realized the Black Panther was chilling in Wakanda when Loki first brought some of Thanos’ army to NYC. Or when Ultron was trying to create a meteor that would destroy Earth.

The snyder cut was way better than the original, it filled in backstory and things that happened in the original that didn't make sense, the story was a bit better overall, not a great movie but good relative to the theatrical cut

Martian Manhunter doesn't get involved in war and chaos unless he agrees and have the same enemy and he needed to see if the team was worthy enough to risk his being. In the comics, his weakness is fire, so any kind of war he's really vulnerable so as bad ass as he is, he does have flaws.
