Sorry to say, but you choked this guide pretty hard. It’s not a bad guide per se, but there are things you misrepresented or even completely ignored. Lemme explain where you went wrong with this. Ilyssa fight: Your suggestion: Keira, Jhu, Ginger, Cornelius and Martha Your Alternatives: Dark Star and Jet Your recommended team chokes pretty considerably by suggesting to put Ginger and Keira on the same team. Reason why this suggestion chokes is that Ginger and Keira have the same purpose for Ilyssa the weaver - killing the minispiders. The only real difference between them is that Ginger is more magic defensive and her cleaning utility is more easily controllable, whereas Keira is a bit harder to use, can technically perform a bit of cleaning without having to resort to ultimate ability and her physical durability is greater than Ginger’s. Overall, Keira is better for this team, because Keira stands in front of Jhu and protects him from minispiders, and due to her better armor than Ginger, she holds out longer than her against them, long enough for Martha to activate her healing skills. Ginger’s superior Magic defense is honestly a non-factor at later levels unless Cornelius activates his Magic Defense boosting weapon artifact or barrier, because Ilyssa’s Magic Penetration is something else (it’s not beautiful, I can tell you that). You also said that Dark Star and Jet are the only alternatives worth considering for this fight, but since you listed Heidi as an alternative to consider for the Outland fight, I have to say you’re wrong. For starters, Fox and Dante are amazing alternatives to consider for the fight with Ilyssa. Fox is pretty self explanatory and even Nexters recommends her for this fight. She is the only hero in this fight who is capable of increasing team’s armor penetration, letting your team to dish out far more damage on all of your damage dealers than you normally would for a short burst. It’s also sometimes possible to stack this effect twice, and when that happens, you basically have extra 64k armor penetration, which will basically fully negate or at worst significantly reduce Ilyssa’s Armor and you’ll be allowed to finish her off much faster. Another reason why Fox is so good against Ilyssa is her crowd control ability - she has multiple skills to cause blindness, and she can also stun and knock back. You can use this advantage to however you see fit - either you can blast Ilyssa with Fox’s ultimate to stun her for a brief period of time, or you can blast away at the minispiders and trigger guaranteed blindness effect, which will prove useful when sustaining your „tank“, which is Keira in this scenario. Dante’s utility as an alternative lies in the fact he can tank reasonably well, thanks to his exceptional health, armor, magic defense and while having dodge stat on top of that, not to mention having the ability to cast invincible shield for 2.5s every now and then. He can also perform sweeping duties to a lesser extent, and he can speed up one random ally of yours randomly. He also adds an agility bonus (which is more damage and defense) for everyone in the team, which may not seem like much but it’s still something. He also stands in front of Jhu when put in a formation, which basically protects Jhu from the possible brunt of minispiders. If you deploy Dante, your damage might be compromised a little bit, but this guy will very likely never go down, unless you really get screwed over by Ilyssa targetting him too much with her magic attacks and petrifying spits. Dante’s weapon artifact also is extra dodge for your whole team, which will make the chances of minispiders hitting him even more pitiful (these guys are not very accurate, so it’s honestly no wonder dodge heroes are broken when tanking minispiders, but Dante is also compounded by high HP and armor and invincibility shield, making him just ideal for this). Artemis and Daredevil kinda work in this fight too, but they should be a last resort if anything, as their utility is quite outclassed. My suggestion for improving your team suggestion: Keira, Jhu, Cornelius, Jet/Fox and Martha I already listed the reason why Fox is great for this fight, so I won’t talk about her again. As far as Jet goes, Jet has a lot of HP and magic defense once properly built up, and he fights way in the backsides. He can survive Ilyssa’s attacks reasonably well and minispiders won’t reach him that easily. His main purpose in this team is to provide additional healing, attack buff and attack speed buff for your hero with greatest physical attack and extra critical hit chance for the whole team (this is pretty huge, because many teams depend on Cornelius dishing out the most damage once Ilyssa is weak enough and where Jhu’s I will take your life ability lessens in usefulness, and if you combine Jet’s buff with Jhu’s weapon artifact, you are very likely to perform a critical hit whenever using Cornelius‘ Monolith of Knowledge on Ilyssa. Again, a very huge thing to consider). Less notably, he provides additional Armor buff with his weapon artifact, which does help the team with survivability a certain amount. Also you forgot to say that Martha is primarily used for her immense healing of the whole team and her own survival.
Vadjar’s fight Your suggestion: Galahad, Ishmael, K’arkh, Qing Mao and Nebula Your alternatives: Any other tank, but no recommendation for Rufus Your recommendation chokes for one simple reason, which is putting K’arkh in this team. Here is one fact for the hardcore K’arkh lovers that love to use K’arkh whereever they can (primarily in PvP) - K’arkh sucks in the outland, period. He is okay to use at lower level Vadjar fights, but as Vadjar’s level increases, his Armor, Damage, Armor Penetration and Magic Penetration rise too high for even K’arkh to compete. You can get around the high armor issue with Qing Mao, but you can’t really get around the other issues. The reason why Ishmael is so much better for this fight is the fact that Ishmael is capable of increasing his attack speed and that he has vampirism. K’arkh cannot perform a knock up on Vadjar, meaning no reliable recovery for him, he is stuck on regular attack speed and he can at best hope to block some of Vadjar’s hits with his dimensional barrier, which unfortunately doesn’t really help all that much again, because K’arkh cannot perform the aforementioned knock up. Also you forgot to mention another strong point of Qing Mao, which is her Dragon’s Claw that takes away up to 21% of the boss‘ current health - this ability shortens the fight by a lot and overall saves a lot of trouble, it also helps preventing a timeout. My suggestion for improving your suggestion: A Tank of choice, Rufus, Ishmael, Qing Mao and Nebula As you mentioned in your video, most of the physical tanks work against Vadjar well, but you choked on not putting Rufus on this team. Rufus is an incredible hero for the Vadjar fight for one very simple reason - Vadjar’s meteor shower. Vadjar’s meteor shower is not very threatening at lower levels, which is the reason why almost nobody bothers with formulating a strategy against it, but at higher levels, Vadjar’s meteor shower becomes seriously threatening thanks to Vadjar’s enormous magic penetration which makes it hard to defend against it and is capable of seriously hurting your whole team (the more deaths on your team mean the more severe punishment from meteor shower to your remaining heroes by the way). Rufus puts a stop to this with his Rakashi’s Barrier, which can absorb an entire meteor shower and heal Rufus for a decent amount. It’s also entirely possible his Rakashi’s Barrier will still be standing after absorbing a meteor shower, which makes it easier for you to recast the skill. Vadjar’s magic is also the reason why Rufus might be able to come back to life in the fight in case he ever dies for any reason, and his low defenses are compensated by having very high HP and armor boosting weapon artifact. He can also inflict pure damage on the boss thanks to his second skill.
Brog’s fight Your suggestion: Orion, Dorian Your alternatives: Maya, Heidi, Satori, Krista, Lars This is your greatest choke in the video. Orion and Dorian are both good in this fight, but it’s stupid to entirely rely on them forever. At higher levels, Brog is no pushover, so having a good team formed around Orion to support him is very much appreciated. Orion and Dorian are staples, that’s for sure, they should stay on the team. The first character that should be added to this team is Mojo for one very simple reason - his purple ability. Mojo’s purple ability is great at stacking Orion’s massive damage even further, and it’s an ability that works after Mojo’s death, so you literally don’t have to do anything on him other than getting Mojo to max level and getting his purple skill to max level, it’s a great ability that prevents time outs quite well. You can deploy Thea for similar reasons as Mojo for skill speed increase, but overall it’s not really necessary and it’s less useful. Now what really confused me about this video is the complete absence of Helios, as Helios is one of the best supporting heroes in the Brog fight ever. Helios can create protection spheres that will protect the whole team from 1-2 attacks from Brog, depending on your Helios‘ investments and Brog’s level, and he can also boost the whole team with an Armor boosting artifact, which does help in surviving Brog’s fatal blows and his Armor Penetration, not to mention Helios‘ flaming sphere is spammable and deals constant damage and it stacks very well with Orion’s Magic Penetration buff, and his ultimate ability does deal a considerable amount of damage as well. Krista is not bad in Outland, but her utility is simple Magic Attack boosting for Orion to deal damage, which is a utility outclassed by heroes such as Celeste, Satori and Jorgen, who overall have uses beyond that and are more useful. Krista is best paired with Lars, and Lars is completely useless against Brog, since his tornado no longer stops Brog from moving or stomping, so using him is a huge waste. Maya is honestly not very good for this fight, but if you really insist on using her, you better pair her up with Faceless so Faceless can copy her flower and restore as much health to the team as possible before Brog stomps the flowers down with his vicious attacks, but my general advice would be to not use either of them, it’s not worth it. Satori is okay, pretty good actually, but I would prefer Celeste over him. Both Celeste and Satori are capable of hurting Brog through their basic attacks, but the thing is Celeste hits him harder with her basic attacks and she has healing utility, whereas Satori hits less than Celeste and his single niche is dealing a lot of burst damage with his ultimate ability and nothing else. Brog does not even gain bonus energy with his antics, so Satori’s purple ability won’t trigger and so Satori has to rely on his ultimate and green ability only for burst damage. Heidi works against Brog, but not for the reasons you listed. Heidi is unique in this fight because he has dodge stat and a dodge boosting weapon artifact, Aurora is the same with the dodge boosting and those two are the only heroes for Brog that can use dodge to their advantage. If timed correctly and if lucky enough, you might be able to save your team from taking too much damage from Brog by enabling your team characters to dodge Brog’s physical attacks, but overall this strategy entails a lot of risks. You might be off better using Astaroth instead of those two, because Astaroth does provide Armor buff just like Helios, he has the link ability, so he may be able to save Orion from dying situationally, and his ultimate skill shields the whole team, even if it’s quite weak, though using Astaroth isn’t something I’d really recommend for Outland either. The rest of the heroes I didn’t mention I wouldn’t particularly recommend either. My suggestion for improving your suggestion: Celeste/Jorgen, Mojo, Orion, Dorian, Helios Orion and Dorian is self explanatory, Helios and Celeste are worthy supporters to consider when dealing damage or preserving Orion’s health, Mojo is there to increase the damage output of the team with his purple ability. I listed Jorgen as an alternative just because he serves the same purpose as Krista, but he has the added benefit of being capable of using his protection shield that also generates energy at double the rate, and because thanks to his purple ability, Jorgen is capable of using his Magic Attack boosting artifact much more often than Krista. Krista is also basically forced to be a sitting duck for most of the fight due to Brog hitting simply too hard and Krista has to constantly stay iced to prevent fatal damage. This also complicates her use of her ultimate ability, since she could very well be easily interrupted, whereas Jorgen is bulky enough to not care. Jorgen also stays in range of Dorian’s vampirism aura, making it much simpler to restore his lost health (and his ultimate skill hits for quite big damage when compounded by Orion’s Magic Penetration buff, so every time Jorgen unleashes his ultimate ability, he’s guaranteed to restore a large chunk of his health).

Is it possible to get an updated version the best Heroes to Level for Outland? Now we have Hero pets and hero skills have changed in a year from the original video.
I want to point out as a suggestion to your viewers if they're new to the game, they may want to save as many of the easy Outland fights as possible for events that require you to open chests.
Are events that require opening chests frequent enough to make this worth it? I've been considering doing this (in fact, I'm currently doing so) but, at the same time, saving easy Outland fights means smaller daily rewards.
I would love to receive explanation, why Markus is supposed to fight against Brog, while he shares some similarities to Cornelius and Martha who fight against Ilyssa? The point is that 2nd skill of Markus, "Righteous light", deals damage to enemy (obviously, both physical and magical), similarly to 2nd skill of Cornelius, "Rune of Suppression" or 2nd skill of Martha "Secret of Longevity".
i recommend dante and cain for this fight. After the updates to Dante and dodge in particular, Dante can dodge all the minispider attacks powering up Cain to simply one shot Illyssa
Dante and Fox are killing machines with max power against one opponent. And Dante does good damage without much investment too, AND Dante has got good dodge rate, when needed.
Faceless paired with Mojo, triggering Mojo then Faceless after Brog's stun run, eats him up. His health just pours off the bar. Makes it an extremely easy fight
@@markmyers4573 don't forget mojo's 4th skill, it is so good against bosses! btw, who you team mojo with? i got it from special box in the 2nd day on mobile hero wars, so i want to buff and keep him
@@HeroWarsCentral you said you won't use Rufus against Vadjar, yet it may be the best support for your team there (and tank included), with his ulti, he negates most damage that vadjar make. Try Rufus, Glahad, Ishmael, Nebula and Qing Mao toghether. Too bad Nebula can't heal herself, but she will be protected by Rufus's shield
I think people way underestimate Archanne on the Brog fight. She does an aerial attack which always hits Brog and damages him and does additional damage.
I have a highly leveled (for a four month beginner) Arachne, and I think she is outclassed by other heroes in this fight. Sure, you have Arachne early and she's OK in this fight, but there are better ones. Currently I use a Maya/Faceless/Orion/Celeste/Judge group.
I like using Rufus to help negate Vadjar's magic attack since I am missing some of the other hero's on lvl. Using Lars on Brog is useless even with Krista. Arachne hits him hard along with Krista. I also use Celeste and Maya for healing. Celeste does a lot of damage to him too.
I've had a lot of success against Brog using Helios doubled with Faceless. When they both hit you can see Brog's health bar drop like a rock. Granted I'm only at level 80. YMMV.
Hi Charlie, could you do more videos on outland please ? It's very hard to kill boss when his level is around 90, so any clue would be appreciated. thx
thanks for the info, very helpful for starters. i wish you would have shown us 1 fight, for instance dorian and orion would have been awesome! thanks for your content!
I struggle with the agility boss alot. I've been using Heidi, Orion, Judge, Satori and Celeste. Now I see why I've been struggling. I really thought using judge with Orion would help me in this situation. What about helios is he any good for this?
Nope Doirian, Celeste, Orion and Faceless are pretty much the only heros that are strong aginst him. You could basicly just use this 4 and no 5th Champ, since he wont make a differnce really. Use Faceless Ability after Orions or Dorians. And never use Celeste's Abilitys, so she keeps hitting him with her Magic DMG basic attacks.
Please do a strategy on titans on mobile. Since it is a bit different than Facebook with no skins or totems. Having a bit problem to survive on mobile. Which to focus on, level up, where to spend my titan power etc
Hi.I never thinked that need some strategy for outland battles. From the begining every day, i using there just first five strongest heroes from the list, and i newer have lost. Now i'm at level 88.With the tower is harder. But i'm allways taking all exp revards, and now i'm at level 88,and my main heroes are at the same lv -Galahad,Jorgen,Lars,Krista and Martha and long time i win easily everyday.Don't know how will be in the future, but i upgrading only this five heroes,so meybe everything will be ok🙂
Hey Charlie, another great video! I remember you suggesting that we shouldn't invest in dante. Wouldn't his 4th skill boost the agility of the whole team be good?
@@michaelarmstrong7132 Exactly. There are so many good heroes that take them down quick enough, by the time you're high level and you're having issues maybe consider it then.
Excuse me , but i have to make a suggestion. When you release a new guide video , just put gameplay clips when you re talking about something specific , for example when u talk about keira ginger etc combo , just shows us the fight between the champ combination and that spider boss. Trust me it will make your vids more entertaining and great. Nonetheless , you know that game a lot but sometimes i feel so bored and i skip your video i was watching.
Thanx Charlie for another awesome guide. Do you know if there are weekend events based on Outland fights? While I am able to get through some levels, I have been waiting for an event like this for a long time to maximize skin and coins loot. I suspect, however, that there is no reason to hold back anymore ;-)
i found Celeste to be very effectib against the conquerer, as her basic attacks deal magic dmg. This makes her the only hero who can dmg him with basic attacks. On Mobile i clearded the Conquerer Lvl 45 with a Celeste lvl 51, pretty much alone, since i focused on my physical arena team.
@@HeroWarsCentral It actually is. It's a part of Satori's ultimate ability description. It says his basic attacks deal magic damage. The way it works is it takes Satori's physical attack stat and converts it to magic damage.
charlie I love your videos but please don't say further ado any more it gets my goat everyone says it and your content is unique so don't follow the crowd please pal
Your Instruction is totally Nonsens in such a Lot of Cases! First, you act like everybody has every Hero available. As you do in other Videos i've seen. There is no Information about a Case, like if one has to choose between, like, 7-8 Heroes, 1-2 of them are mentioned in this Video, and they don't know how to do until they get them. It takes worst Forms, when it comes to Brog: You actually have ALL the Heroes available - But you really talk about only 2 of them. What if someone does not have any of them both? There is NOTHING like an Alternative. And seriously. to make a helpful Video, you really should keep it in Mind! Further: You should consider that someone has only the 7 last Heroes you would choose. How could they decide, which 2 Heroes they should not choose. What really helsp, was a Priority Order.
Well, truth be told, Outland is a bit poorly designed content, since only a small handful of heroes is actually viable there, so really the only way to go about it is to take every hero into consideration.
@@vegansane Well, no. Taking every hero into consideration means highlighting which heroes are necessary, which ones are filler and which ones are useless. Some heroes are simply irreplaceable and essential.
@@smaragdchaos This just again proves the Video Nonsense because it does not really help to answer these Highlights. The perfect Answer would be 3 Outland Tier Lists, but this Video os really far from that.
@@vegansane A tier list for outland would be a bit pointless, since in outland a character is either viable or not viable with no inbetweens, so that would make for rather one-sided tierlists for the most part.
Sorry to say, but you choked this guide pretty hard. It’s not a bad guide per se, but there are things you misrepresented or even completely ignored. Lemme explain where you went wrong with this.
Ilyssa fight:
Your suggestion: Keira, Jhu, Ginger, Cornelius and Martha
Your Alternatives: Dark Star and Jet
Your recommended team chokes pretty considerably by suggesting to put Ginger and Keira on the same team. My suggestion for improving your team suggestion: Keira, Jhu, Cornelius, Jet/Fox and Martha
I already listed the reason why Fox is great for this fight, so I won’t talk about her again.
Vadjar’s fight
Your suggestion: Galahad, Ishmael, K’arkh, Qing Mao and Nebula
Your alternatives: Any other tank, but no recommendation for Rufus
Your recommendation chokes for one simple reason, which is putting K’arkh in this team.
My suggestion for improving your suggestion: A Tank of choice, Rufus, Ishmael, Qing Mao and Nebula
As you mentioned in your video, most of the physical tanks work against Vadjar well, but you choked on not putting Rufus on this team.

I've been considering doing this (in fact, I'm currently doing so) but, at the same time, saving easy Outland fights means smaller daily rewards.
This video needs to be updated.
I didn't know that Orion and Dorian were good in outland! thanks for sharing!
They're so good together.
Orion is pure magic attack, Brogs weakness
Dante and Fox are killing machines with max power against one opponent. And Dante does good damage without much investment too, AND Dante has got good dodge rate, when needed.
Faceless also good vs Brog!
If primary skill is used to mirror Orion & Dorian attacks, it has exactly the same effect!
(Best in non-Auto mode, oc!)
I hadn't thought of this! This is awesome!
Faceless paired with Mojo, triggering Mojo then Faceless after Brog's stun run, eats him up. His health just pours off the bar. Makes it an extremely easy fight
@@markmyers4573 This is great to know! I'll try this next time.
Did you make a non-beginner Outland guide? Would love to see, please add to the Description if you do so people will see there's another video.
I think people way underestimate Archanne on the Brog fight. She does an aerial attack which always hits Brog and damages him and does additional damage.
I agree. Especially now, with her update on Mobile.
I have a highly leveled (for a four month beginner) Arachne, and I think she is outclassed by other heroes in this fight. Sure, you have Arachne early and she's OK in this fight, but there are better ones. Currently I use a Maya/Faceless/Orion/Celeste/Judge group.
nice video but most of the heroes you use are really hard to get if you are a free to play.
Yesssss! been waiting for this
Hope you found the info helpful!
YMMV.
People keep saying faceless! I'll have to try him.
@@NicoSie98 Thanks for helping out!
Helios is an exceptional supporting hero for this fight, lol. Don't give up on building him.
how much tto add to heroes for the next boss
What are the best skins for Heros? Like Qing Mao, Fox, etc..
my middle dies from 2 hits what do i need to add like armor?
Armor, magic defense, and health!
- Any updates on the list? @smaragdchaos, nice summary! Cheers.
Please do a strategy on titans on mobile. Since it is a bit different than Facebook with no skins or totems. Having a bit problem to survive on mobile. Which to focus on, level up, where to spend my titan power etc
Titan guide coming soon!
How far do they go on mobile?
I actually don't know....
Mobile version is the same as the old facebook outland, so maximum level for outland bosses is 120.
It would be. But much like leveling Ishmael JUST because he's good at the tower...it kind of ends up being an overall waste of resources.
@@HeroWarsCentral Okay I understand what your saying. So just focus on my top ten heroes regardless
@@michaelarmstrong7132 Exactly. There are so many good heroes that take them down quick enough, by the time you're high level and you're having issues maybe consider it then.
@@HeroWarsCentral is Ishmael on web just as good at that tower?
You should use faceless since he can copy Dorian and Orion
That's a great idea!
I am level 55 and I use ziri, ishmael, faceless, maya and martha.
And I am rocking this combo.
@@1-Ted That'll work for awhile!
omg thx for the orion it was so helpful
you are the best ima sub
My Ilyssia team is keira, daredevil, ginger, artemis, and Dante
What max level Outland
I think that it's 120? I'm not sure.
@@HeroWarsCentral thank you
Think you may be able to cover what to expect in the quests. I didn’t expect my tank to get mind controlled and attack my healer.
I like to use Orion then faceless I can usually kill him in a few volleys
Excuse me , but i have to make a suggestion.
When you release a new guide video , just put gameplay clips when you re talking about something specific , for example when u talk about keira ginger etc combo , just shows us the fight between the champ combination and that spider boss.
Trust me it will make your vids more entertaining and great.
Nonetheless , you know that game a lot but sometimes i feel so bored and i skip your video i was watching.
Thanks for the comment! It really helps! And I appreciate your feedback.
Thanx Charlie for another awesome guide. Do you know if there are weekend events based on Outland fights?
While I am able to get through some levels, I have been waiting for an event like this for a long time to maximize skin and coins loot. I suspect, however, that there is no reason to hold back anymore ;-)
There is an event based on outland events!
Need team for lvl 150 -160
This part gets hard when you reach lvl 55
Whew you aren't kidding.
@@HeroWarsCentral no kidding there was when i needed to get teams in full purple color and after 70 i couldn't advance anymore
@@AbrahamZJ It takes some work. I dont like it, because it requires leveling up heroes I don't want to level.
I know, that is the worst, you have to make.3 teams for Grand Arena, and extra warrios for outland, and extra for everything, is really tiring
@@AbrahamZJ Thats how they get you.
i found Celeste to be very effectib against the conquerer, as her basic attacks deal magic dmg. This makes her the only hero who can dmg him with basic attacks. On Mobile i clearded the Conquerer Lvl 45 with a Celeste lvl 51, pretty much alone, since i focused on my physical arena team.
You're absolutely right.
Celeste is not the only one to hurt Brog with basic attacks, Satori can do the same
@@smaragdchaos I wish that stuff like this was better labeled in the game.
@@HeroWarsCentral It actually is. It's a part of Satori's ultimate ability description. It says his basic attacks deal magic damage. The way it works is it takes Satori's physical attack stat and converts it to magic damage.
use orion-celeste-asta-faceless. can defeat brog in a moment
60 lvl good video AND GAME
Thanks for the support!
LOL, Bob!
charlie I love your videos but please don't say further ado any more it gets my goat everyone says it and your content is unique so don't follow the crowd please pal
lol got it, no more further ado. It was pretty cringe.
Everyone 😄
lol basically
I use Rufus he has good chance of surviving fighting the boss.
easy when u play with $$$$$$$$$$$$
Yep, the game is definitely pay2win!
Play this game, don’t recharge
You won't get what you want to buy
Very bad game
I am a stupid victim
honestly outdated tbr
Further:
You should consider that someone has only the 7 last Heroes you would choose. How could they decide, which 2 Heroes they should not choose.
What really helsp, was a Priority Order.
Well, truth be told, Outland is a bit poorly designed content, since only a small handful of heroes is actually viable there, so really the only way to go about it is to take every hero into consideration.
@@smaragdchaos to take every hero into consideration means again, the Video is nonsens.
