I have to disagree about having to have a reference of some kind to start a painting. I am one who primarily makes it up as I go along. I love your style and easy going personality makes watching your videos a very experience! I appreciate that you teach both oil and acrylic! Awesome work Kevin, keep it up!

I'll be 52 in October and I never saw that method of scraping the knife to add detail to a painting, in this case the gravel path. Where in the world have I been hiding?? Amazing technique, and those holes in trees to show sky behind is nuts, has a photographic quality to the whole painting.

what kind of canvas are you using? When you painted the sky it was like you were using a paper. My colors didn't blend like that at all
