I havnt burried a sled like that since i got on anything newer than 2010😂. Them old lead sleds are understandable, but the new shit is so easy to throw around!
I've done that method on a 2000 zr 600, 2005 F7, 1989 skidoo tundra, 2021 ski doo skandic, that list is a lot longer. Just make sure you buddy is smart enough to say on the throttle!
Every stuck is different and has its best way to get out. Also, this method works just fine on trail sleds. Matter of fact, I just did this today on a Grand Touring Ski-Doo that was stuck Nose up in a creek (and it is both a wide track and trail machine).
I'm just sayin from my experience most of the time to get a wide track out is put her in low gear and creep forward, reverse , repeat... that odd time you may pin it to the bar and get out ok sure. Won't work as well as the forward back method
Every stuck is unique in its own way. This is just one of many ways to do it, and there is nothing wrong with this methode when used in the right situation.
I see this on a daily basis with the sled renters up where I live. Some days that is all I do is get them out. They pull and I hope on and do the driving.....and you know I take a quick spin once I get moving....
I use to work at a ski resort and even on flat ground the sleds would sometimes freeze to the ground and you would have to rock them and break them loose.
Tip for you is don't have him standing on the machine have him feather the throttle with a quick burst and you tug on the front ski would have popped right out of there. But with him standing on the sled what the heck!
@@Taite1 The quick burst he mentioned is the important part... wack the throttle to get the sled to pop at the same time as the ski pull and then tap the brake and start feathering the throttle to get the track speed back down... other wise you do like they did in the video and are basically almost stuck for another 10 feet...
Meh, the sled was leaned left. The guy on it was leaning right, which made the track bite. This method works just fine as they showed, it got that tunneled out sled out. The track needs some bite, if you aren't changing it's angle and just letting it float in the hole it already dug, that's doesn't seem like a great method.
This is not how you do it at all. Step one wiggle sled to pack snow under track then small amounts of gas at the same time they pull the sled will creep out once you are fat enough out hit the gas these guys don’t ride back country
Coulda backed outta that one. And I notice the hashtag is can an now park. So if I never tried one gondo it. If I didn't know what it was like to carve the fresh pow. It would be on my bucket list forsure
Could have been there was just too much glue on the side of the hill. Next time that happens, just dump about 5 gallons of gas on and around the sled. Next, throw a match on said gas and the heat from the fire should melt the glue. Make sure that the match is lit before you throw it on the gas or it will not work. Good luck!😂
With my luck I would remember that's there then five minutes later come back through that area and coming in like 30 mph and restuck the snowmobile in the 15 ft trench he made
When your skidoo payments are higher than your mortgage your first thought wouldn't be to roll it 😂😂 nah just kiddin, but if it were an older lighter sled I'd agree with ya, these are kinda heavy and bulky not to mention ridiculously fragile. Roll it over and the dash, bars, hand covers.. not made like they used to be for sure.
@@jaceb7136 raced and own tons all my life. That sled weighs nothing. And they arent XP fragile either. I run a 270hp viper, that's a beast compared. They roll over just fine all of them in that kinda snow. It's 10x the work to roll them out. Rolled tons out. Also if your worried about payments. Shouldn't be buying them. My last one was 35k CAD all set up. She's rolled down many mountains.
@@ryanstraatsma3434 I saw that! I grew up on one too, but I still have mine. I welded up the destroyed tunnel so it can handle a lot more weight now Haha
The better question is how did you get stuck on flat ground in the first place!? Lol jk, we’ve all been there. Keep up the good work fellow Utahns!
Speak for yoself, I've never ridden one of these bad boys
@@keenanryan8735 Well you should! They’re a lot of fun!
@@specforged5651 one day i hope! Freaking crazy that Ken Block passed away from one of these after his extreme career and hobbies
Flat ground in hard pack. Get off the throttle and it moves alot better.
@@keenanryan8735 Yep, unknowingly we were riding about 1/2 a mile away that day. Crazy
It helps when you have a 155" track with 2.5 inch paddles on flat ground... XD
Love my 55 haha
Helps when you have a track the lengh of a small runway 😂 Still, stuck happens!
I hate it when I stick my sled!!
Same, like why are they so sticky?
Instead of standing on the sled I usually stand on the ground and push it at the same time as flooring it. Less work for the helping friend
If I'm unstucking, i get off if I need floatation, but get on if i need traction.
I havnt burried a sled like that since i got on anything newer than 2010😂. Them old lead sleds are understandable, but the new shit is so easy to throw around!
Quick tip! Tap the the ground underneath the snowmobile between the two skis if you know what i mean with your foot
Only works on big paddle long tracks like this , don't do it if u got a trail machine or wide track lol
Depends how you’re stuck. I’ve done this for a wide track before
I've done that method on a 2000 zr 600, 2005 F7, 1989 skidoo tundra, 2021 ski doo skandic, that list is a lot longer. Just make sure you buddy is smart enough to say on the throttle!

It’s the pin and wiggle man😎😎
See Scott's comment!!! For correct application. You should certainly not tell people this is the way to get a stuck sled out!!! "Beginner"

That sled shouldn’t get stuck lol
At least not there lol.
snow is too soft maybe🤔 or this was too early in the season.
I want what sled u ride I get stuck all the time
Wow it's just not capable of getting stuck?
Looks stuck to me. Cause that's what happens on snowmobiles eventually.
You tool
That's like saying wood shouldn't burn
I use to work at a ski resort and even on flat ground the sleds would sometimes freeze to the ground and you would have to rock them and break them loose.
You flatlander guys are funny.
Tip for you is don't have him standing on the machine have him feather the throttle with a quick burst and you tug on the front ski would have popped right out of there. But with him standing on the sled what the heck!
I did that with a professional rider helping pull me and I he got really mad. All feathering does is dig it deeper.
@@Taite1 The quick burst he mentioned is the important part... wack the throttle to get the sled to pop at the same time as the ski pull and then tap the brake and start feathering the throttle to get the track speed back down... other wise you do like they did in the video and are basically almost stuck for another 10 feet...

All you need is a good ski tug, mabey 2 or 3, doesn’t matter the situation, a good ski tug will get you unstuck, but you’ll need friend to help you
Where was that at? Looks fun
Wasatch State Park, UT
that was not stuck, no need for pulling from ski, just clear a bit of snow in front and float it out gently
And for that situation you should’ve took your shovel and dug out some snow from the front end so your not so hard on the belt
😂 screw that belt! Gonna have to replace it at some point anyway!! RIDE EM OUT BOYS!!

So how do you get a a 154 or longer track stuck on flat ground with a 2.5 inch paddle at least? Still confused. Looks like it has 1 inch track lol

Damn bros making trenches with that snowmobile lol
Кен Блок никогда не забуду тебя😢
Not really stuck. Made it a higher chance of getting stuck by just hanging on the throttle, though.
called a ski tug fellas!
next time stand to the side, itll go quicker 👍🏽
looks like monte cristo
That sled wasn’t stuck to begin with if you knew what you were doing.
That’s the easy kind 😂

Don’t get stuck on flat snow…
Just pin and wiggle
My question is how do spell stuck wrong
Lol almost didn't work, to much track speed
Pull skis out n should b good. Most of the time

This technique is useless if you're stuck in alderbush
I promise it’s not that easy when your by yourself 😂
