Unbelievible..............There is no bass like it in the world!!!!!!!
Fkin brill innit
Toujours! 🐀🖤
The STRANGLERS ....50 YEARS ..N SOUNDING BETTER THAN EVER...THAT IS DEDICATION N PERFECTION .BRILLIANT BRILLIANT BAND..JJ BURNELL ...BASS PLAYER OF ALL BASS PLAYERS ....THERE UNIQUE SOUND IS UNMATCHED .....THE STRANGLERS WILL ALWAYS HAVE A STRANGELHOLD ON AL OTHER BANDS ...RIP DAVE......❤ ..HOPE 2 C U ALL AGAIN IN SYDNEY ...ALL THE VERY BEST 2 U ALL ....FABULOUS GIG ...😊🎉
This really is the dog's hairy bits. Superb. A band that has honed its craft over the years - despite the line-up changes - through gigging regularly, putting in the work and writing brilliant songs. The Stranglers have always been musically excellent and the current line-up is no exception. I've followed the band since 1977. I obviously loved the Hugh Cornwell era; not so keen on the Paul Roberts phase but still good; and this present incarnation is as good as ever.
JJ needs no explanation, but Baz has been with the band for years, and the so-called 'newbies', Toby and Jim fit in perfectly. I genuinely thought after Dave's passing that it would be the end of the band - he was that unique. But no. I really rate Toby. He's not Dave, but as near as dammit. With this line-up they still sound like the Stranglers.
Fantastic performance…The Stranglers were always unique and their sound was hard to define…After all these years, amazing how fresh it still sounds.
Absolutely superb performance... Every song was nailed to perfection...
New line-up is fantastic
Such a shame they're no more than a tribute band now ! Sometimes you have to know when the party is over ? Should have drawn a line under it when Dave passed . Jet retiring was the beggining of the end for me.
Fantastic. Thanks for posting this again. David Butterworth
visti dal vivo nel 1980 concerto molto bello ...il basso eccezionale
Awesome, always, depuis 1977 pour moi 🐀🖤
Mk1 Stranglers can never be beaten
But sadly can never happen again
I went to see Mk5 at a sold out L'Olympia in Paris last year
And they were brilliant
relentless a stand out in a flawless gig.
Can love Roberts and still love this lineup. Can love this lineup and love em tonight with Toby. Top performers.
I loved all line ups, the music über alles ... it's just floated my boat for 47 years 🖤🐀
Yeah great to hear some Norfolk Coast, still a great album. Paul rocked it when he was on board, lovely bloke too
fabuleux!!!!
Brilliant..........
Nice upload. Arte took this down and now I've rediscovered it! Cheers from Yorkshire
I know! I'm going to download it this time. I missed it!
Unbelievable band
Great upload thanks
OMG GREAT. Thank you
Howay Baz , if you’re reading this. Great to see you all fired up for the 2020’s, miss working with you all. Looking and sounding great with Jim and Toby on board, tight AF. All the best mate, Charlington Charles
This is such a great song...saw Strangs 2 times in the USA...Our whole neighborhood was made up of all guys and we all played an instrument, listening to them since 70's.
かっこいい❤❤❤❤
Awesome
I love them ❤
Great version of hanging around…
Epic
brilliant
It's only ONE Strangler.
With the Norfolk Coast LP The Stranglers came full circle and gave us the best LP since Rattus Norvegicus. (In my opinion, of course!)
HALIFAX NEXT WEEK THE STRANGLERS MUSIC WILL NEVER DIE
Nowt wrong with that Great Set ❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🍌🍌🍌
Not Blackstar amps but Bazstar amps. Baz Warne.
The stranglers is a band that's not allowed to die ... its become a relay of musicians that want to be a strangler.. they will probably still going in the 2090s .. there will probably be at least 3 more line ups by then.
JJ will be replaced?
Demon version of Tank!
There's not much separation between the instruments somehow. It's almost as if there's reverb on bits that shouldn't have reverb.
Is this new stuff or album fillers ❤
ストラングラーズの演奏は続く。
俺のトライアンフも走り続ける。
I,ve never recognized Mohican hair cuts as being punks or new wave original fans.. maybe the early females… but it became to fashionable… the stranglers dressed in black the most
Being different… is all in the mind… not in the haircut
no Golden Brown...
But Harry was there!
@@f3lixtube a magnificent rendition of 'Don't Bring Harry', I thought.
The keyboard player sounds too subdued somehow. Somehow the way he's playing or the sounds he's picked are too in the background compared to Dave Greenfield, who was more foreground.
Musicians have too be protected on stage… in case of an accident.. like breaking a finger or 2.. can,t play guitar or keyboards or drums.. by a bampot knocking you over.. so enjoy the music and look on.. without trying to be the top fan..
« crotte de taureau » …heum heum
Stranglers? Hahaha... Tribute band.
JJ Burnell still there, the rest have just passed away apart from Hugh!
Well, as a life-long stranglers fan ever since I heard the first two bars of 'Nice 'n' sleazy', and having seen them several times in concert including the penultimate concert with Hugh Cornwell (it was the Brixton academy) I'm 10 minutes into this and so far it's bland. There's nothing musically innovative or even particularly stranglers-sounding. They've started off sounding like an average pub band with not very distinctive sound or material.
Update: Ok, by the end of it I'll admit I'm drumming along with every song. So it does grow on you.
I agree, but most of all with your update. Glad I kept on listening to the whole concert.
@@user-hc9xt8xf1iI think this line up is fantastic
I’ve watched this concert quite a few times now. (I’ve seen them live throughout the years)
I’m not pining for tge original line up.
They laid the foundations for what is now and this band are continuing their musical legacy. Great band
If you saw the last Hugh days your memories shot because they were awful .Watery versions of old songs with a brass section ,bass sound wound right off . Dreadful . Not my thing anymore but Dark matters is a great album and this line up is tight as ...
@@jazzmanb445 well, I just saw them at Guilfest and they were great
Terrible
It wasn't terrible. In fact it was a faultless performance.
Shame it was performed by a tribute band, all except one.
They shouldn't really be using this name now.
@@ramalama9650 In French, "terrible" can mean awful or brilliant. And it isn't always easy to tell which one is being used in written French.
@@ramalama9650For me they didn't have to use it anymore after Ten.
@@ramalama9650Yeah the real Stranglers, are dead now, Just a tribute band now im afraid. Time to call it a day.
What a great little concert from the men in black
Crap .
