This is a great video! We've been together 16 years and I think when I went to university as a mature student I really learnt how to kind of split myself into different sections, I was student, mum and wife all at the same time but I made sure I never did them all together! We have never been very romantic, but we make a lot of time for each other and get a day off a week together without the children, which is amazing!
Emily Norris It's only now that they are at school that we get that day a week! We don't have childcare options for evenings out or time away so we make the most of what we have!
Really appreciated this video and can say from experience that this works. I have always tried to put an effort in to my marriage and I can really see the difference. Now that my husband and I are expecting our first baby it's encouraging to know it can still be something we can carry on after the baby arrives. One thing I have always practiced, not just in marriage but with all my relationships, is asking myself "does this really matter". By asking this question I have learnt that somethings are just better off being dropped or forgotten. This has saved us a lot of unecessary arguments or battles which just take away from our time together. Thanks Emily.
GREAT VIDEO! Thank you! Please make a video of tips how to get kids in bed at 7 !!!! So many times I put my 15 months old to bed and after a while he absolutely wants us to get him out or else he cries... Not everyday get as tired as other days so it's hard some days to put him to sleep on time. We have so little "us time" since he ends up sleeping at 10 and I'm totally out af 11 pm because of all this tiredness :(
I know it's too late for you. Your kids must be 5 years old now. But If anyone have the same question. I highly recommend the book "The new contented little baby book" by Gina ford. It helped me out a lot with two babies. 😀
Great video Emily! While we are not married yet I do find myself nagging at my fiance a lot these days - mainly baby help related! Your comment about not being a second Mum is so true. To be a bit nicer today I am taking my man out for dinner :)
Really liked all your points Emily. They are very useful and a reminder to us on how to keep relationships going stronger. Many woman I know always assume that relationships are always about them and that the husband has no rights. But to keep a relationship strong both need to work hard to keep it going
your tip on nagging is soooo true. being pregnant with my second child and all the crazy hormones had turned me into a momzilla at times bout house tiding nd stuff but i know that's not a valid excuse. i will surely make some much needed changes thanks for the advice it made me reflect a lot on my behaviour xoxo
This is so helpful Emily, sometimes you can just miss the obvious and you spelt it out in such a nice way. Me and my partner have been together since I left school! 11 years now, we are getting married in August :) xx
That was a super awesome advice, especially about spoiling your husband, I rarely ever do now, after 10 years of being together, and that was a priority before marriage and kids
i really like the idea of having a routine that kids goes to bed at certain time then its me time..i don't even know how to start that..possibly when my kid is elder to establish that..he is just 3months now
Another great video .. although most of these things we would know it's easy to forget and get into the routine of being a mum. Especially having a teething 1 year old who needs so much attention and cuddles, by the time it's grown up time I'm exhausted! But after watching this I am motivated to get back into it.. 😋
I’m horrible at not competing. I do all the chores since I don’t work but I’m a full time student. My husband works two jobs and he leave around 1am and comes back at 4pm and I get so mad that I always clean the house on my own n not him. He does clean some after work n on his days off but I nag a lot since I feel I do so much more than him specially cuz I used to work a full time job in the past and I was lucky enough to also take my kids so I kinda had two jobs, doing my job and on top of that watching my kids. It’s just hard for me not to let it out since it’s so hard to clean, cook and watch kids all on my own basically and to go to school 😞🥺☹️
It is a big shift after you have a child but you should still try to have date nights without the baby if you can. My parents or Justin's take Natalie every now and then so we can go out and it really helps. Also just regular communication!
Great video 👍🏼 just a question for you though, I was curious about who does the finances in your home? That's something me and my husband are trying to figure out due to power struggle lol God bless
That's us totally, each one on their own laptop. We don't own a tv, so we very rarely watch movies together. We haven't been on a date out in almost 3 years, because we don't have a family near by, and I would freak out if I was to leave my 2 and 5y old boys with some stranger. But we do need to work on our dates in though.
There are a few factors in ideas to rekindle romances. One place I found that succeeds in merging these is the adult magic tactic (google it if you're interested) it's the no.1 plan that I've heard of. look at the incredible info .
Hi Emily. Can you do a video on breastfeeding appropriate clothing. As a mom of a 5wks child I find it hard to find clothes that are sill fashionable yet great for easy breastfeeding.
out all the youtube mums I like your volgs the most that is because you are so down to earth and so humble thank you for all of the good advice😘
I am totally guilty of treating hubby like a child, nagging, and keeping score.. thanks for the tips Emily, will be putting them to use!
I'm not married, nor do I have children but I really love your channel!! Slightly hooked.

That’s perfect. I’ll keep this quote with me. And it’s really true. Once you sleep on a argument things could get more complicated
This is so helpful Emily, sometimes you can just miss the obvious and you spelt it out in such a nice way. Me and my partner have been together since I left school! 11 years now, we are getting married in August :) xx

I want that video on my phone offline😍. Such a good tips😚. You look amazing 😍😍😄
'They've got pressures at work' - this presumes that Mums don't work (outside the home); which is pretty unusual nowadays.
I’m horrible at not competing. I do all the chores since I don’t work but I’m a full time student. I wish I could date, but I can't leave my baby at home alone since I don't have a babysitter. Home dating doesn't work really.
Hahaha "gross our kids out as much as possible" lol
Very good video

loving your channel!!
perfect one 😍😍
Interesting video lol I just watched another video from Daria karic she has nearly all same tips as you.. It looks like she copied you.
I love tip number 4! I need to separate Mom from wife because our love life can benefit from that alone time
This only works if it’s all reciprocated 🤣
👍👌❤❤❤
