The controversial 2010 Higgins meeting: Information for people who had no opportunity to investigate further:
1. Mazher Mahmood, editor of the newspaper and 'gangster' in the video, was known for living performing similar traps (actors and other sports stars). In October 2016, he was jailed for a year for tampering with evidence involving a singer (a victim of his traps).
2. The original video lasted 11 minutes, but they only showed 4 min.
The video has too many cuts, answers without questions and vice versa. Moreover, they didn't keep the dialogue structure despite being professional journalists who own the raw footage. They could have excluded the moments of fear and intimidation; perhaps they brought up the topic of foreign properties, making us believe that the idea was Higgins' initiative.
3. Ian Mill KC* headed a second independent investigation―the first was led by David Douglas, former detective chief at Scotland Yard.―He had access to all original videos and audio tapes (as Douglas had). He textually concluded: "I have no doubt that the Association was right to conclude that this account by Mr Higgins was a truthful one."
His conclusion on Pat Mooney**: "he committed the most egregious betrayals of trust ".
Audiotapes revealed that Pat Mooney was aware of the 'bribery'. He told Higgins they were wealthy sponsors, and just before the meeting, he asked him to play along if the subject of match-fixing came up.
*Ian Mill KC is considered an authority in sports bribery cases in Formula 1, Football Premier League and Tennis ATP, among others. He headed the recent investigation on the ten Chinese snooker players.
**Pat Mooney, Higgins' manager in the video, was a member of the WPBSA board at that time.
- Meeting: Friday, 30 April 2010.
- Publishing: Sunday, 2 May 2010, 'coincidentally' during the final at the Crucible.
- John Higgins at the time: 34 years old, married, two children, World N°1, reigning world champion, famous and millionaire (£5 million only in prize money―£450,000 in 2009).

Cesar Muroya created a unique editing format to extract the essence of the game without losing the drama involved. Contextual information is also an innovation appreciated by viewers.
This format is not intended to substitute the full version but to make Snooker more accessible to new fans. The fluency and atmosphere of the game stay in a shorter-length video, allowing even experienced fans to enjoy Snooker at any time.

That lady coming up, running around and then being allowed to play in Ronnie’s place made my day. Great to see everyone smiling and taking it in good spirit
Thanks for adding that Cesar
A lady?
Such a fool.
And for Ronnie to let her play WITH HIS CUE. I’m not being snide or joking when I say that maybe he felt compassionate toward someone who might be mentally ill. In any case, he de-escalated the situation.
@@johnsrabe Totally possible. He handled it with absolute class, I agree with you
when you think about Higgins vs O’Sullivan you can talk about all the long distance matches at the crucible and at the masters but this one is right up there with one of their best encounters
Another brilliant Video By Cesar
U are doing a service to Snooker
Appreciate it
great sportsmanship from Ronnie about his foul, great match overall and as usual excellent editing by Cesar who by now is my #1 go to channel when it comes to snooker.
These videos are brilliant! The comments, both those on air and Cesar’s on-screen notes are really helpful and show an attention to detail. Thank you very much.
Thanks' Cesar, another great pick from the Archive's.
What a sport! Pure class! 32:23 - Does it go, does it go? Walks round the table and places the white with his eyes. Blue's in, white's perfect....thanks Cesar! Nice edit, love the graphics.
As of today for professional titles, Ronnie holds 39, Stephen Hendry 36, John Higgins 31, Steve Davis 28, Mark Williams 24. Followed by two youngsters in comparison to all the above are Judd Trump and Neil Robertson tied at 23 each and Mark Selby with 21.
Thank’s Cesar for a high quallity video and Wish Ronnie strength and good luck!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you Cesar
5:21 Absolute class from Ronnie, just carrying on with the woman and having fun.
Superb (seamless) editing and enhancements, as usual. Thank you, Cesar.
A tremendous match! Well done for another well thought-out, put together video.
La edición es fabulosa, sin duda el mejor canal de Snooker que existe!!!
the fact ronnie gave the crazy lady his cue! can't say i'd have reacted that way. what a guy.
He knows crazy because he is crazy himself.
John Higgins is an amazing competitor and one of the most consistent players in the game.
Nice job on the editing, especially with the talk. It almost feels like they're pacing along with you.
I think that’s actually the key. Anyone can edit clips together one after the other. But Cesar treats the audio and video separately and is very skillful with the beats. It’s a thing to behold. Also his commentary is never intrusive; just enough to keep us on track.
(My comments about layering the audio and video is pure speculation based on years of editing audio myself. I have not been in the mixing room with him.)
Thank you Cesar, great match!
I dare say Cesar Muroya is becoming as much a legend in the snooker world as these two gentlemen...
Great entertainment and excellent editing. You my go to chanel for certain. Thanks for your efforts and God bless
Is there anyone who has played more consistently well than Higgins? He hasn’t been ranked lower than 13 since 1994, according to Cue Tracker. The graph is almost a straight line.
English open2017 Ronnie o Sullivan was unplayable 🤣
Cesar plz it's a request ...make a video on 2007 masters final...Ronnie vs ding ...plz ...it's not available on RUclips ..i really want to see that match ...it's a request
Better than a real Barca game.
True GOAT ROS
33:33 Would anyone have noticed?
An amazing moment in that match. Such mad respect: him for the game and me for him.
Cesar can you explain more about how a snooker match ends in a draw? I tried Googling but couldn't find anything.
If players end with the same points after the table has been cleared, they respot the black and play from the D. I don't think there's any way to not have a winner
@NerdvanaNC, in some Premier/Championship League editions, group stage matches were best of 4, 6 or 8 frames under a round-robin format. For example, the Championship League 2022-2, played in July, had best-of-4 matches; players got points for every frame won. The 2022 World Mixed Doubles was another example: ruclips.net/video/dAIW7kZTRuU/видео.html
Guys could you tell me what happens if another ball ends up on the place of for example black ball when the latter one has to be placed on the table again? Does the referee move another ball away to put the black one where it has to be?
I tried to find an answer online but idk I’m too lazy to scroll the entire list of rules to find out
Ronnie is the master.
El Clásico of Snooker - Рони Осаливан и Марк Селби.
Can you do more videos of Neil Robertson
When would you consider Ronnie's peak form?
2012 World Championship
37:38: Isn't the rule that at least two reds must hit a cushion on break-off?
5:37 wtf
Добренькая тётенька выскочила…
Хотя все равно опасно!
Ну хоть позитивно закончилось, ничего не испортила!
kto lepszy? sullivan czy higgins.
Audio and resolution is way off on this, which is unusual for you, César.
Poor excuse offered by commentators for Higgins when there was a disturbance in the audience and then he missed the next pot. Disturbances happen in almost every match. Higgins got up and had a chance to reset after the disturbance was over. It was not as if the disturbance happened at the moment he was in stroke. I know they wanted to bill this as if it were the match of the century and these two were Snooker gods. Fact is, even though Ronnie is the best there ever was and Higgins may be in the top 5 of the best ever, they missed quite a few easy ones in this match, pots AND positional errors.
Higgins is age 42 here?
That lady, 🤣
I like Higgins but he should lay off the groceries for a while.
