Those of us WHO DEEPLY appreciate your service in protecting our country should BE THE FIRST THING THAT WE AS AMERICANS SHOULD SAY IN OUR COMMENTS!!!!!!! My husband and myself will be taking our FIRST trip outside of the USA in December and our FIRST country is Jamaica! We are staying at a mom and pop resort to keep our dollars on a local level AND we plan on visiting all the mom and pop places in business while we are visiting this beautiful country! SO grateful that you are showcasing small businesses because without your help they wouldn't thrive vs the commercial touristy places. We won't be staying in Kingston we will be on the west coast of Jamaica but I can promise you we WILL be visiting all of the locals vs tourist traps! @@Travelwithchris the schools have 2 shifts Chris. That's why they start so early. There are so many kids so they do split shifts, morning and evenings.

It's not hot and humid like Jamaica but windy.
Be forewarn, they don't smile but they are helpful.

@@blackieja thanks 😊 and yea I know its honestly a blessing and also when I go there I see how hard it is for them it truly puts a drive in me to make lots of money when I came back to Toronto. Because all you need is money over there and you will live like a king. To be honest sometimes I wouldn't have money over there and my family and friends and wifey would bless me with anything I needed and i will always remember the kindness.

Hey Chris, it never gets cold in Jamaica. Especially in Kingston. The extremes are only on the hot side. As for the patties, the people in Kingston are Tastee people but the rural people go with Juici. For years Tastee was only in Kingston for many years.
