I don’t think I’m hard core, but I genuinely find T-Rex a super enjoyable wear. I adore incense and get a lot of the florals from it. I have to wear it in the cooler weather or it can turn a little too powdery on me, but when it keeps its bite we get along well!
Very good to see you again! I remember your video when you first got a bottle of Opus IX. I was happy for you. A Library Collection sampler set found its way to my door soon after I saw how much you loved Opus IX;I had to smell it. Pretty much that whole collection is beyond me. I think Opus X is a biohazard. I feel like all of that collection would wear me but I do love to sniff Opus I. You may be partly responsible ,influentially, for me owning Bel Respiro. Not sure if I'm remembering correctly. I'm subscribed now. Thanks for the reviews!
I just received a sample of Nuit De Bakelite a couple days ago. They put it in a plastic bag and I could smell it through the plastic lol. Then I sprayed it. Once. I kid you not I couldn’t get the smell out of my room for 3 days 😂
YSL Opium was my first signature scent for 8 years back then. Never tried the reformulated version. Don’t think I would wear this fragrance again but never say never. 😂
OmG, Tom. You're making me laugh so much, I had to stop the video. ....my gods, your killin me. 🤣😂🤣 Bakelite and Charade sound interesting to me. I've tightened up my choices to buy only the most unique perfumes. I love a vintage vibe, and the notes sound wonderful. You are definitely my go to fragrance advisor!
TFS🌸 I haven’t tried any of these; but my difficult / captivating frags are Oriza L Legrand’s Foin Fraichement Coup (anise, green, powdery …love it; but it kinda weirds me out, too); Lolita Lempicka EDP (like it, but it’s a little unexpectedly dark?) & Mugler’s Aura (vanilla jungle juice 💚- gotta love it!)
I love Opium and I don't mind wearing it. It reminds me of my mother and even through it was reformulated I still like it. It was released in 1977 so you know.
I know this is random, but i love Cerutti 1881 and subbed because i loved ur review, because its quite dated i wanted to know if have since found any perfumes that smell similar lots of love 💕💕💕
I love the tuberose / ylang combo in Charade and Jungle Jezebel. I've literally just bought bottles of Opium and Cinnabar and yes they're the modern versions, but the essence of vintage formulas is still there. If they were released today, they'd probably appear in the Exclusive range.
Hey there! Good to see you, as always! I love Opium and oh my I do 10 sprays. Sadly I don't like any of the Zoologist perfumes but the concept I do love if that makes any sense. I recently added fragrance to my collection and they are Coromandel this is my third bottle Escapde Gourmand, Mosaic Gourmand, Prada Paradox, and I was ordering clothes from H&M the other day and I picked up three perfumes. There perfumes are 10.00 for 30ml so if I don't like them its no big deal and I can give them away lol. Coromandel is a masterpiece to me, and I love love love it very much. Take care!
Opus IX is my all time favorite fragrance!! I never hear anyone mention it. I occasionally see decants sold on social media fragrance groups. (I also love Opus III.) On my skin, the challenging elements of IX blend well, but I do like the little bit of funk that it has. And I totally agree about T Rex. I love having a 10ml in my collection, but don't wear it much. Perhaps this weekend!
Claire Smith has mentioned Opus III on her Chanel a few times. It is strangely beautiful. I have the Library Collection sampler set. I bet nobody EVER wears Opus X . YOW! I have learned to appreciate Opus IX a bit; but it took me a long time. I don't get any funkiness from Opus IX but my nose is not very sophisticated.
@@McAmeron089III Haha, I wear Opus X! I have a whole bottle and think it’s gorgeous. I like wearing it in autumn since it reminds me of vampires 😂❤ I haven’t tried IX but hopefully one day.
@@casandracorettebellydance Please forgive me, That was stupid of me to disparage Opus X. Just because I can't appreciate it,well, that's my problem I reckon. Yes! Vampires! Fragrances can be so subjective. I am red/green colorblind; so I don't see colors like most people. And cilantro tastes like soap to me! I hope you were not offended by my thoughtless comment.
Me: "I wonder if Lita is on this list"🤔 Annnd, it's the first one on the list. A while back, you mentioned that mandarin was one of your favorite notes. Would you consider making a video about your faves?
I agree that recent versions of Opium are done well. I have the more recent EDT and hifhly recommend it, it's very wearable, but keeps the spicy integrity.
4:59 LOL I don’t know what’s up with those lid taking off and putting back on a gazillion times either. It’s like a tic that is so annoying to watch haha.
How do you always find some of the most rare/interesting perfumes out there to review x I have tried Opium from a decant my mum had and wasn’t into it. Smelled way too strong and vintage for my taste
My kid wears 5 Sprays of T-Rex and layers it with rose every Friday night. My flat smells like a burnt down flower garden all the time.😭
My kind of kid!
Love this! Your kid is a badass!
I never thought I would own a challenging fragrance, lol. It's still pretty mainstream, but I do have a couple vintage bottles of Opium.

Putting the lid firmly on immediately after smelling seems necessary 😂

Great seeing you again greetings from the Netherlands
Have you ever tried Just by Franck Boclet? Overdose of ylang with cloves, I think you might like it, beast of a fragrance!!!
How do you always find some of the most rare/interesting perfumes out there to review x
I have tried Opium from a decant my mum had and wasn’t into it. Smelled way too strong and vintage for my taste
Challenging fragrances are the most fun fragrances
I find l’air du desert marocain to be challenging, but considered a masterpiece 🤷♀️
I love experiencing super challenging perfumes, I may not want to wear them though...
Most challenging fragrance in my collection has to be Coeur du Noir by Beaufort😅
And it’s one of the easier ones to wear! (Personally)
Hi ❤ long time no see you ❤
i bought a lot of imps from BPAL last year, from their yule and halloween collection. Most of them are challenging
They definitely have some weird beasts!
I’m italian and I can assure you that “bogue” is not an italian word, you probably meant french 🤗
Not used in French either! Ciao dal Canada!
@@kimiakaguerard1000 then I truly don’t know what language could it be! thanks for the clarification☺️
Opus 9 is discontinued
Ok *cries perfume tears*
Can you do a review on Someday by Justin Bieber?
Do you know what George Michael's favorite fragrance was?
I don’t. Do you?
Kouros of course!
Enjoyed tfs
