I've watched Johny Newton many times. His hands are like razor blades. Always moving. My bet is worrying about him is the #1 thing DC's that played Illinois focused on. He is a stud and to me, is a sure thing. Getting a pass rushing DT is even more valuable to pair with Sweat than another DE. Love Trevor's interview.
I don't think Rome Odunze is going to be there at 9. The last thing that Trevor said in the podcast is some team like Indy could jump up to 8 and pick Odunze. Don't think other teams are going to sit and watch Odunze fall to #9. It makes me sick to think of it.
Say no to defense. For WAY too long, including the present, the Bears over invested in defense. The NFL is about offense. You don’t even think about defense if you’re picking in the top 15
I agree. But the Bears do not need another tackle. They need another guard or even more, they need a stud center. They could move down to 15-18 and get JPJ or Barton from Duke. Both can play center OR guard.
I've stated the same thing. 7 or 8. Having a stud wr at a cost of nothing vs $25-30+ million is worth a lot. Not only that, but making CW's entry into the NFL that much easier. Before the title game, Odunze only dropped 2! passes all year. An NFL scout from the NWest called him "golden hands". It would prob cost a 4th to trade 1 or a 3rd to trade 2 spots. A pittance for what you are securing. PFF ranked DJ's hands even better than Odunze. What would having 2 sure handed guys like that would do for ANY qb? Look what getting just DJ did for "I can only see 1 guy" Fields?
I love Trevor, he’s the best out there in my opinion. Awesome to see him on the chgo podcast
Great interview. He seems very knowledgeable made sense.
oh hell ya!!

I like Newton too, just not sure about the foot injury.
They can trade down to the mid teens and get a second round pick and get a OT or DE, and WR in the second
Nick looking like Freddy Mercury, Nothing Really Matters…
Astro a50s? Very Elite

Continue to build the Oline.
