In this episode, I install an aFe Power onto our C7 Corvette Grand Sport.
This all new Momentum intake system has a claimed 18 horsepower and 22 lbs. x ft. torque increase and outflows the factory intake by 28%. This system is superior in every way, from the one-piece sealed housing, to the massive air filter, roto-molded tube w/ built-in resonance chamber and premium hardware. This system uses a CAD designed, dyno-tuned, roto-molded intake tube & housing to achieve maximum power gains while maintaining a perfect fit. This is a direct bolt-on kit and requires no cutting or drilling on OEM parts.

Just installed on my 2017 Grand Sport. The struggle was real. Getting the grommets correctly placed on the air box was the first hurdle since the AFE box locating holes are different from factory. Very frustrating trying to get the small screws to line up with the fender holes. Had to mount just the air box first. Then it was all about alignment after that. No flex in the rigid plastic intake tube made alignment a challenge. Still not completely satisfied with the final install as the rubber coupling attaching to the throttle body is slightly misaligned. It appears there will be no easy way to remove the filter for cleaning. We'll see when that time comes.

I've had an aFe CAI on my C6 GS for the three years now and have never looked back, other than to see those I left in the dust.😉 It doesn't have the looking glass that your C7 aFe has, but looks-wise, it's so much better than factory and yes, there is a RWHP gain. Keep the vids coming Scott and Save the Wave.👋

How tight do you tighten the clamps that hold the air filter in the box. My has some sag from all the weight but don’t want to break anything.
Do you not need to disconnect the negative battery port? As to avoid check engine lights

@@Team512 Yes Sir. It felt good. I have a 2016 C7 Z07 with only 4000 miles on it. I have been trying to get it out more, but I have to drive my other 3 vehicles and motorcycle.

Will this void any factory warranty? Debating to get this or the GM performance intake.
The only way the aftermarket parts void warranties if the dealership can prove the part was the cause of the problem. Look up the magnusson-moss warranty act

Any idea where to find a 2nd vent tune attachment? I bought one and it has the vent tube and the plug but my car needs 2 vent tubes. No luck online yet.

I sure can! In fact, my C5 is due for a filter cleaning. So stay tuned. The key, is not to over-oil the filter before re-installing.
